  1. Very nice, looks like bead blasted stainless,I likee.
  2. Very manageable recoil,I think less than my G36,or so it seems.I think the bull barrel helps with recoil.
  3. Once the 1911itis sets in their is no hope for recovery, the only cure I know of is to find one more you just cant do without.
  4. The darndest things always happen when your not expecting it,you been glockerized my friend, relax though it happens all the time to normal people like us.
  5. The other day I met Sam Riley and we did a little horse trading,my horse is a used Springfield 1911 Compact in .45ACP,its a shooter thats for sure,I am a little skeptical of the 1911 with the shorter barrels(3 inch)but she ran fine,1 missfeed on a Winchester 230g JHP,switched to one of my Wilson mag and it ran like a top.I shot 50 FMJ 230g Winchester white box and 25 Winchester 230g Personal defense SXZ,it just shoots. Thanks Sam.Here is a couple of pics.
  6. I wasnt a Glock fan until a buddy at the range said here try mine, now I own 2 of them.I added Pearce +0 extensions,Wolffe guide rod and springs and night sights, after that they are all set. Also Decal Grips in the sand paper finish helps to hold on.
  7. Thanks for the quick reply.Maybe I will go ahead with the sale.

    Hand guns

This was discussed in another forum, somewhere else,I think a lot of the problems are from new shooters that are unfamiliar with the mechanical workings of a firearm. Some pretty simple stuff to a veteran shooter is a big deal to a new shooter, take for instance the fella wanting to know if there is something wrong with his new Glock because the end of the pistol was dirty after firing only 300 rounds, well DDUUHH-burnt powder means soot,so a lot of these types of problems are owner created when there is no problem.Common sense aint so common.
  9. Hi fellas i am wondering if anyone here has ever shipped a rifle to the state of Maryland, and if you have how large of a deal is it.I have an offer on a Mini 14 and the fella wants me to ship,I am wondering if there are any funky laws to watch for.Any opinions are very welcome.
  10. You know this is true,I had read an article where they tested the polymer trigger group to the metal, the polymer actually stood up to abuse much better. The metal actually broke but the other wasnt effected in the tests.I believe they were doing a drop and break test.
  11. Last November I purchased the 10/22 special 22 inch barrel stainless at Wal Mart for a little over $220.00 if I remember right.has the nice checkered sporter type stock with a rubber butt pad.Thats pretty reasonable for a new Ruger.seems where your looking its a little high on the price.
  12. I switched from Dish tv to the U-Verse for all my needs including the phone and internet.I have the 12 MBS and works great, usually when I test I am running a firm 11 MBS.The main reason I switched is due to the fact we constantly lose signal on our dish, where our house is located the trees in back block standard satellite and is getting worse.the tech for Dish TV said we could never get High Def due to these trees being in the line of sight and it would only get worse, not our property so trimming the trees is not an option. So for the last 2 weeks its been working out pretty decently. Also with the U-Verse phone you have unlimited long distance for $5.00 extra a month. We were paying over $30.00 monthly for a long distance plan alone.
  13. Yea for Bartlett,my son lives in the confines, and he recently also applied for his HCP.
  14. Got my HCP that way,no tests and no brains.
  15. +1 on that one, great belt.I have used one for almost a year now, still looks new.
  16. yeh,that looks like a Gen 1,no finger grooves.
  17. Most of the guys left their 2 cents worth,I gave 4 cents. There is a reason I am a paid member here at TGO,I like it,and fully support TGO.
  18. It would appear that non alcohol serving businesses are jumping on the same bandwagon together.I guess I dont understand their line of thinking, they did not ban HCP holders before, why now.Its almost like this new law has energized some type of irrational thoughts on their parts. If we were not a problem in the past why would we be a problem now,its almost as if they think that now with a new law we are suddenly going to lose our minds and start shooting,I say the people that think this way are pretty narrow minded and have not collected the real facts. They are all:screwy:

  20. yup,just cant see myself carrying a murse,kinda sreams GUN,IWB with a size bigger drawers,and 2 more holes on the belt.Crossbreed Supertuck with a G36 stuffed into it.:D
  21. I wonder if they make a IWB holster for those.
  22. I had heard that they are out of business.
  23. This is 100% correct, they do sit on the rim,as long as your overall cartridge length is correct your good to go,any reloading manual will give this dimension.
  24. Man,that didn't last long did it.
  25. If the handguns you own are all alike, are you pistol prejudiced, and if so is there a support group for this sickness,You know like HGA(handguns anonymous)Hi,my name is krunchnik and I'm a shootaholic,do we need to start a group like this.I'm told that this infatuation with the shooting sports is a illness.
