  1. Yeh,a person on another forum saw a picture of my Kimber TLE/RL II and made me an offer,I of coarse said nay to the trade.I really dont want to go thru all the red tape to possibly receive something in terrible shape, thats a good point, that you get whats in the box.Not a good idea to trade for something a person cant inspect close up and personal.
  2. Like the question mark asks, have any of you fellas ever traded a firearm with someone from a different state, like even trades,no cash involved,if so how was the paperwork involved, was it complicated and how would a person make sure they werent getting ripped off.Any opinions or facts are appreciated.
  3. Single clip on mag carrier on weak side, either I wear my Gould and Goodrich paddle style or I have a Galco clip on.
  4. I think its the prop for Bubba Louies home made motor boat, seriously its got to be put into whatever its made for stirring, theres not enough room on the bottom for a vat of any kind.Too low to the floor.
  5. Man,isnt all that the truth,I think it is cause I read it somewhere,I think we are all doomed,I say doomed.
  6. Nice looking plinker,I hear they are pretty reasonably priced also.Dont forget the range report.
  7. I dont think its PC to call something a midget, you might hurt the guns feelings,HHAARR:D:D
  8. Nice looking pistola,are they a 1911 pattern,looks like they are.
  9. Good choice on the pistol and holster(Crossbreed Supertuck),I had an Ultra CDP II that was not very reliable, but I think I was one of the few that received a problem right from the get go,I now carry nothing but Commander size 1911's,they are both very reliable.I have a Kimber TLE/RL II thats very reliable(hasn't malfunctioned at all),they do make very nice pistols. A couple of pics,2 that I carry and the 1 that I do not(way to big) Just a little bit of gun porn
  10. I recently picked up a Taurus PT24/7 PRO DS in .40S&W,It shoots really nice, trigger is not too bad for a double action pistol.like was previously posted make sure to break it down and clean the grease out of the insides including the firing pin channel, you can go to Taurus armed .net and there are instructions on how to dissasemble the firing pin assembly. If not make sure to run some non chlorinated degreaser in the cracks and crevises on the slide and then oil with a light type gun oil,not too much because it tends to gel in the pin channel.I had a PT140 Pro that I shot all style bullets and weights with no adverse effect on the pistol. Here is a pic of my Taurus,I think they are pretty decent firearms for the money,I have a PT1911AR that runs flawlessly.
  11. Sure is some serious hiding going on,looks like it works pretty well.
  12. 2 bucks in the Tactical section of Bed,Bath, and Bazooka's:D
  13. Like I said, what type of pistol do you keep by your bedside,I'll start.Kimber Custom TLE/RL II W/Streamlight TLR-1 and Mepro Night Sights.
  14. I just picked up a Taurus 24/7 in .40,going to the range this morning, when I get done I will let you know how it shoots.I bought it at a local dealer for $419.00 out the door including tax and background check.Heres a pic. Well after hitting the range with my new piece I can say its a keeper,50 rounds of Federal 180gr FMJ and 20 rounds of Winchester PDXI 180 JHP and not a failure in the bunch, although after shooting 1911,s the trigger pull is gonna take a little getting used to:D:D:D
  15. For your under $400.00 the Taurus is a good value and are pretty reliable.I had a PT140 MILL PRO that fed everything I could put in the mag.
  16. Nothing finer than a new 1911,except maybe 2 new 1911's.Congrats I am sure you will enjoy shooting it.
  17. There are a few sellers on E-bay that say they are official Crossbreed retailers.
  18. I have heard that Springfields service is top notch,I know its a lifetime warranty and they should be able to fix your feed problem.I have read on other forums that they are also relatively fast on the service end, sounds like around a 2 week wait and they should also pickup the tab for shipping. Also on a side note what type of magazines are you using, sometimes trying a Wilson magazine fixes some of the feeding problems, just a idea.I have several Wilsons and quite frankly use nothing but.
  19. Thanks for the info,it looks too new internally to have many worn parts, almost like a new slide had been installed.Oh well it does shoot great.
  20. Nice,my opinion on the subject is a person can never have too many 1911's,gimmee 1 more and I'm happy:D:D
  21. Yes sir minus the OD color finish, per chance did Sam get this pistol from you.Is it the same pistol I have now with the green finish removed.I would like a little history lesson if it is.
  22. I have carried daily for the better part of the year and have as of yet had anyone comment on those black thingies there on your belt,I really dont think people notice things like that a whole lot, their too busy trying to talk on their phones or just as a rule arent paying attention.
  23. Today it is a Springfield Compact 1911 in a Crossbreed:D:D
  24. I had worn an MTAC daily when I carried my XD45,now with my Glocks and 1911,s I have all Crossbreed Supertucks,it seems like the Crossbreed seems to stay in one place better for me.I have 2 in horsehide and 1 in the cowhide. The MTAC was very comfortable also but I prefer the steel clips on the Crossbreeds. They all conceal well and are quality made.Just my opinion.
  25. Welcome,if you didn't ask questions we wouldn't have anything to occupy our idle time.
