  1. Yea,really just waiting for the safety to pop off and hit the ground,or something equally annoying.
  2. That I have 2 Kimbers now that both work, they both have MIM parts, factory parts, original extractors and triggers, not to mention entire reliability,it just cant be true, they are Kimbers.Well I think I am gonna keep them, regardless of the hype. About 200 rounds thru the pistol and not 1 glitch, and nothings broken yet
  3. I have had all good experiences everytime I have shopped there.I have even bought a couple of 1911,s from them,2 of which I still own.Mason is a really nice fella to talk with, especially if your a 1911 fan.
  4. I would think by trimming metal from the slide, especially that deep would alter the weight of the slide and possibly also alter the reliability ,also springs being a certain weight for the slide.Timing may be a problem.
  5. And the Pro model doesn't have enough clearance to wiggle the guide rod and spring out without using the tool.On my Ultra I can pull it apart without the tool just by wiggling the guide rod just right.
  6. Springfield makes some very nice 1911's,congrats on finally receiving your's
  7. Defensive distance,I always try them at 21 feet,if good then move farther.I think any distance further is time to turn and run the other way.
  8. Actually it was 1 yard because I am a horrible shot, and only had 80 malfunctions out of 70
  9. Ha,just kidding.I got to fire my new Pro Carry HDII,and I might add out of 70 mixed kinds of ammo including my weak in the knees reloads, mixed with Remington Golden Saber the pistol did real well.So don't listen to all of the internet rattle about all Kimber's are just junk.out of the 2 I do own,not a junk one between them. And darned fun to shoot I might add
  10. Just going to add a picture of a set of grips I purchased thru the CZ Factory Store, walnut with a stippled texture, looks different but they work quite nice.
  11. Looks good,I sure am starting to like the CZ line.
  12. Made it also, really kinda different.
  13. Great looking revolver you have there.I had one of these 20 or more years ago, wish I still had it.They are some of the nicest shooting revolvers anyone makes.
  14. Well I am happy I am not the only one noticing the CZ line.Sure are some nice shooting pistols.I recently also bought a CZ 75B in .40 S&W.Congrats on the new pistol.I have had a RIA MAPP1 for awhile and really like it,so I decided to go with the real deal instead of a clone.
  15. I have a CZ 75 and a RIA MAPP1,thats a CZ clone. They both shoot absolutely great.I know you will like yours. They are almost as nice shooting as my (I know blasphemy)1911's.Congrats.
  16. Galco Combat Master.De Santis Mini Slide, these 2 I have used and prefer the Galco.I currently wear the Galco with my Aegis, but the frame size is the same.
  17. Looks like the case was too tight on the bullet and when it was chambered it forced it back making it buckle a bit.I sometimes have my crimp too tight and it does that on my reloads.
  18. Springer makes some great pistols for sure.Congrats
  19. And so the addiction starts, its claimed a few of us.Nice pistol.

    1911 9mm mags

    Ruger SR1911

A local shop had one here back in July I was looking at,when I asked if I could purchase the pistol the guy kinda laughed(so sorry but its a display only),I can always order one for you.So I went elsewhere and purchased a Springfield RO for not much more than they were asking for the Ruger.
  22. There is a pretty decent young fella at Classis Arms in Cordova.I have bought a couple of Kimbers from them.He has helped me a few times.

  24. Springfield designed the EMP specifically for the 9mm round. The specs on the pistol is smaller than a traditional 1911.The grip frame is shorter and therefore uses proprietary magazines.Since they shortened the frame that also means quite a few of the internals are also made to fit only the EMP.As far as a carry pistol, all holsters for the Officer size frames including the Ultras will work. They are a nice little 9mm 1911 for sure.A person could do worse. Im bad,I assumed you were meaning the EMP in 9mm,same holds true with the S&W .40
  25. Yup,if I fire my carry pistol I always reload and put it back in my holster,I like to have it ready at all times.Even at the range.
