  1. I see you have the most elusive M&P-the M&P EAA Witness S&W 10mm :shhh: Mighty fine collection you have there.
  2. Ruger has a better than $800.00 MSRP on these devils.I own a GP100 4 inch half lug that I only have $450.00 into.In my eyes they are a little steep price wise-but look heavy duty no doubt.
  3. After reading a lot of the news sites different articles over the last 2 days something about this attack has had a different effect on the general population.Reading a lot of the comments afterwards it appears that the American population is not buying the politicians anti gun rhetoric this time.I like a lot of the commentators feel that to enact any type of gun control would in fact make the people more vulnerable-not more safe.I guess what I am trying to say is that its about time some of these citizens are finally waking up to what the rest of us already were thinking.
  4. Vote for the Ruger 22/45-right in your financial ballpark and very reliable-well mine is.
  5. Same said here-the only ammo my Kimber Pro Carry and Ruger  SR1911 ever choked on.I used to pick a box up at the range I shoot at but no more.I have had several feeding problems with it.Now I reload all my .45 so no more problems.

Hoplophobic(its in the mind)or should I say mindless :ugh:
  7. I would like one in the .41 mag to match my Redhawk-I bet they are a fun shooting rifle.
  8. I have a Gamo Viper that is a .22 caliber air shotgun-a much smaller scale than the Air Venturi. It shoots about 10-#9 shot out of a plastic shell. It will put the shot thru both sides of a steel can at about 20 feet.Good for small vermin and the like.
  9. Just until you and the dog are starving and you start looking like a big bag of gravytrain :yum:
  10. According to almost all of the testing done by different entities it seems that most of the defense ammo does real well with Hornadies XTP bullet. And right on Fiochhi Extrema seems to be some of the best next to the Hornady Critical.I have shot most of this in my Kimber Micro and it all shoots very well.
  11. All this flag nonsense is really out of hand.I say if you can not even respect our countries flag maybe you should remove yourself to a different country. When I graduated in 1976(Whoa the bicentennial year no less)there was an American flag in every room in the school, and we said the allegience every morning when we were in the lower grades.Who are we offending other than ourselves-America get a grip already. If you don't like it here leave already.
  12. Good shooting-I also have a Savage but in .22 mag.Boyds does make some nice stock options.I went with the Varmint look on mine. They are really nice shooting rifles for not very much money.Actually I don't understand how they can sell them so cheap. .22 Caliber is becoming my favorite

I have not seen their new model .380acp in person yet-In fact I don't actually know when they are supposed to become available.I would like to see one in person-I think a little heavy for a mini 1911 but the gun rags make them sound interesting.Right now I think the Browning model is probably the closest thing.
  14. I have 2 Kimbers in the Pro variation-one in 9mm and one in .45-I carry the 9mm.9mm is so much fun shooting.
  15. What I fail to see is the problem to start with. It's not like everyday you see grandpa at the check out in Wal Mart holding the cashier at gunpoint until they hand over the Meta Mucil-I think there is a whole lotta fix looking for a non problem to start with.Where do these politicians dream this crap up from.Sounds like a straight forward gun grab to me.
  16. I have changed bushings on Kimber,Ruger,RIA,Citadel and Springfields and have not run into any that were staked-all of these were recent to new production pistols. You can do it-just take your time like everyone says and make sure you have a good square bit.
  17. I have seen quite a few this year near Memphis also-but there seems to be a lot of those red hornets everywhere near my house.
  18. Thanks fellas for all the input-I have a few decisions to make and I appreciate the input from everyone
  19. Thanks guys-I guess I am in this stage where I really don't know what to do-2 doctors and physical therapist is all saying the same thing-very long recuperation time and at 57 years old doesn't help either.Dr says I am a candidate for surgery but shoulder will never be the same-too much damage. And of coarse $$$$$$$ always helps-this stuff gets expensive and in a short period of time.
  20. So I guess I am looking for some answers as to a dilemna-I recently have been seeing a ortho specialist for left shoulder pain-only to find via an MRI that I have a couple of tears and a frozen shoulder too boot{adhesive capsulitis}I tried to go shooting the other day[key word tried]but the pain was pretty nasty.I am told that my shoulder is never going to be normal due to the several problems combination.I am toying with the idea of selling my large caliber firearms starting at larger than 9mm.Has anyone in our vast forum data base ever been thrust into this type of decision.Rifle shooting is darn near impossible-can't hold my arm up without lots of pain.I would appreciate any opinions from the brain trust-what say yee.
  21. The only time propane is explosive is when the air to vapor ratio is just right.propane is heavier than air and will drop to the lowest point when released.it is a lot more stable than what people think it is.
  22. Aww-yes little Johnie knows a lot of things
  23. Yes your correct-I must have been thinking of the .177
  24. I have had everything up to and including a RWS-Diana-springers are powerfull and trigger pulls are great-but require a little time behind the trigger to get good.I recently purchased a Benjamin model in .22 caliber.Nice wood stock and a very nice trigger pull thats very repeatable-hence accuracy is very good.800 fps is advertised velocity and without a chrony I couldn't vouge for that but it will put a pellet thru a steel can like no tomorrow.Whats nice is the ability to increase velocity with more pumps or the reverse-keep it low if needed.I installed a fully adjustable peep sight on mine and they are very accurate. I would definately purchase one again
  25. I like the little blurb at the end about taking the rebel flag down at Nascar could help-ohh those wild and crazy newscasters :usa:
