    FN FNP 40SW yes no?

I have 500+ rounds through mine. Very accurate and shoots anything I put in it. Great trigger and I like the feel of it. I liked it so well that I also got the FNP9.
  6. Anyone decided on a place yet? I fully intend to be there
  7. According to chnl 4 news website, the restaurant carry goes into effect at midnight tonight. Am I reading this correctly? Chancellor Bonnyman said the case should be explored n 90 days. I take it by this that we can carry where alchohol is served at least for the next 90 days.
  8. Wouldn't it be a hoot if 15, 20 or more people showed up at one of Rayburn' places about lunch time and just had coffee or tea. Just occupied table space thereby preventing the meal-buying clientelle from spending money? No weapons, no holsters just a bunch of non eating coffee drinkers (hope refills are free)
  9. Isn't this the same state that elected Jesse 'The Body' Ventura their governor a few years back...must love the celebs up there.
  10. Did anyone hear Rep Henry Fincher's comment to channel 5 news tonight? He said "People have been carrying guns into resteraunts since 1994 an as far as I know the Golden Corral hasn't turned into the OK Corral yet". He also said he feels that they do not have legal grounds to file the suit, and that it's a waste of money doing so. I like his style!!
  11. We folks from Madison are growing in numbers here...welcome Lisa
  12. I saved it in PDF format, will print out fine for you. Want me to pm it to you?
  13. I know that I can convert my G27 to 357 sig by just a drop in barrel. Can the G27 be converted to 9mm the same way and with using 9mm mags? I see barrell conversions offered from Lone Wolf and others. Has any one done this? Thanks
  14. Has anyone seen the article by Nate Rau in Today's (6/18/09) Nashville City Paper? It is obviously slanted and anti, but gives the impression that Tennessee is the only state witch will allow guns in establishments where alchohol is served. Among other states he writes that in TX, KY and GA carrying where alchohol is served is expressly forbidden. A law firm is sited as his source. Seems like to me that someone didn't bother to do any research at all. The stats cited are not in the web version of the paper, only the print edition.
  15. There sure is a wide range of occupations here, but no body mentioned being in the tourism industry. Well here I am. Visitor services supv at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum.
  16. I believe HCP went into effect in TN in 1996. I don't remember the great wave of concern then. There were some arguments against it, but not to the degree we have today and the majority of the media seemed to concentrate on just reporting the news and editorializing...there wasn't the blatant attempt to sway opions as there is now. The HCP law was passed with little fanfare, some businesses posted the "no gun" circle, and that was about it.
  17. I absolutely couldn't believe what I was seeing. Destroying a beautiful, custom Gibson!!! Chet Atkins would have come out of the stands after him.
  18. Tuesday is a normal day off for me. Lunch or supper okay here. Guess it's okay to bring spouses; she doesn't have a HCP but is a member of NRA.
  19. Ole Charlie is on his game tonight, ain't he:lol:
  20. JayC Thanks for the helpful info, with your permission(I hope) I copied to file and will use a lot of it
  21. I just emailed Michael Craddock and Tim Garrett. Being in the hotel/tourism industry for about 20 yrs, that's the angle I took. ie people leaving the county for dining and entertainment and the consideration for Nashville for conventions; the convention planners look at every little thing about prospective sites. It will cost us revenue and add expense in litigation in a time of recessed economy and budget tightening. Maybe they'll listen ... will keep you posted
  22. At work today, been keeping up here, thanks to all of you for that. Just saw the piece in theTennessean about it getting reactions from restauant owners; I think this one is a classic: Ben Goldberg is the owner of Paradise Park. When told that the veto had been overturned on the gun bill, he was so taken aback by the news he said he could not comment. It's a bar/dive/honky tonk on Nashville's Broadway set in a trailer park motff Not my idea of fine dining to say the least
  23. The Tennessean on line this morning states that it takes 40 days for the law to become effective. Giving a date of mid-July before restaurant carry is legal. Does anyone know if this is factual or does it go into effect upon the signitures of both of the speakers?
  24. When the speakers sign, I wonder if they will do it at the same time, surrounded by a platoon of police?
  25. He needs to sit down and have a glass of selenium
