  1. Yes - a UTV is the thing I'm looking for - something to use around the farm hauling stuff, minor trail riding and just accessing areas that you don't want to drive a pick up to. Do these depreciate like cars, so that you save some coin by buying a couple year old model? I'm assuming most people change their own oil and wouldn't really have any service records? Thanks !
  2. I would like to buy a 4wd ATV with a Rear lift bed (ie Kawasaki mule, etc) - what models do you recommend and what should I look for when buying a used one?
  3. Not really - the old leaf sights are still on the thing - just a picatinny rail added for a red dot
  4. Would it have been easier to print a list of what the still are making? Looks like the zombie ammo is suspended - yikes!
  5. I can't think of a worse weekend to have a gunshow
  6. I wouldn't assume that an HCP holder is automatically a "good guy" if I were an LEO. The HCP only proves at the moment it was issued you were "ok". Anything can happen after its issuance is
  7. That "grinding" is really just the paint/park that's on the rails getting worn down by the cycling of the action. I've seen many people handle new AKs and complain about how "rough" they sound/feel. It's a temporary condition that goes away once the rifle is broken in.
  8. I love that new phrase : "weapon of war" Is there any weapon that's not of war?
  9. You haven't seen my latest prices then ;). Well under a grand - I'll let willis68's comments speak for themselves. There are three categories of AK rifles 1) Saigas Pros - built in Russia! Cons - no threaded muzzle, need to be "converted" and won't take AK mags without a bullet guide mod, need to make 922 compliant if converting 2) Current imports : Romy WASR Pro - cheapest AK around Con - erratic workmanship, no bayo lug, no muzzle threads, relying on century to properly open up mag well IO AKs Pro - not much more than WASR Con - basic AK - don't expect anything beyond a basic wood stock Various Yugos Pro - yugo beefiness Con - hard to find wood stocks nowadays Arsenal Pro - good rep Com - expensive 3) custom AKs Pro - wider range of AK countries, styles and types to choose from. Can get a numbers matching gun, better quality vs century monkeys Con - more expensive
  10. I've got a couple for sale on the trader :)
  11. Matches are open to non- members
  12. Check out gallatin gun club. They have a cmp match every month
  13. I watched Rubio get interviewed last night by Gretta. He said that the guest worker program will allow us to have workers here to do jobs Americans won't do Like pick crops. All I could think was that he was advocating modern day slavery. Guaranteed that the next step in this story will be the left wing declaring the injustice of the guest workers paying sales taxes, property taxes (directly or indirectly) that they live here and don't get the benefit of representation but suffer taxation. And they must also be granted a path to citizenship. It's so obvious. And yes, this is a sop to agribusiness in the short run but a left wing win in the long run. See Caesar Chavez for a historic lesson
  14. Haven't seen the film yet, but this seems to sum it up: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/wwz
  15. The stores will ask and they don't accept guns. Just call ups and ask if they will pick up with a manufacturers call tag. I bet they will
  16. If you have good relations with a LGS you may inquire with them to see if they'd be willing to have your ups package picked up from their business
  17. Excellent advice by all The invisible hand of the market is sufficient in policing itself. If its a priced to move, it will - if not it will sit waiting for the right buyer, see a price reduction or be withdrawn. Why anyone feels the need to be the price police is beyond me. By not buying an item, you're making a statement already.
  18. What's worse is that Alexander has signed on as a cosponsor of the corker bill
  19. +1 for rafting the Ocoee! Where else can you raft in the same rivet used for Olympic competition (96 Atlanta) Other suggestions in Nashville area: Big pink Bus Tour http://www.nashtrash.com/ Cheekwood Bell Meade Plantation Frist Gallery Nashville Children's Theater - great place to take kids - excellent performances Chattanooga: Lookout mountain and Chickamauga battlefields Watertown Jazz festival Stardust Drivein movie theater
  20. I hope they all were able to safely buy their $180 sneakers after that ;)
