  5. Great suggestions by everyone above I'd recommend getting some temp living for a brief period so you can find the home and locations that will work best for you and your family, and also have a personal lay of the land to know how far work, school, shopping would be from your potential homesites
  6. Yes - almost had forgotten! Then while watching The walking dead, i suddenly remembered! Nothing like flying too close to the sun!
  7. Sorry to hear that you're having to wrestle with this
  8. Scored a couple bottles of weller 12 yesterday and poured a finger for me and a pal to drink bu the outdoor fireplace today. Weller 12 is a good value for the money and as Close as ypu can get to pappy nowadays
  9. My order confirmation from CMT says otherwise. Hurry up folks and get those last orders in!
  10. Or find the very drunk one :)
  11. Holy crap - its hard enough to find pappy already and now they're stealing it from the warehouse!??!?!?
  12. You are "making" an SBR - therefore you must engrave your name and city, state on the firearm
  13. Order the fingerprint cards from atf - there is a special code that must be on the card for them to accept. One tip - for the box "reason for making" i always write "all lawful purposes". Other folks i know write "for collection purposes"
  14. Complete two originals of Batf form 1, get two pics to affix to te forms, get your CLEO to sign both originals, order fingerprint cards from ATF and get printed twice, complete one form 5330 (certification of compliance ) make out a $200 check to the BATF, send everything in to their Atlanta address and wait 8-10 months While waiting you can engrave your receiver per atf specs Lots of details here: http://forum.pafoa.org/nfa-class-3-title-ii-34/20540-sbrd-ar15-brief-guide-my-experience.html
  15. I might have some spare flares - shoot me a PM and let me know what you're looking for
  16. You can call trijicon and have them check the serial number if its usgi or private issue
  17. Spent Friday at the creek. Perfect day! Best deal I found was a couple vendors selling used beat up ta31F acogs for $300-350. They worked, and a quick call to trijicon confirmed they were genuine and NOT military issue. Scored a deal on some 7.62x45 ammo for a vz52 rifle that I hope to own some day - $200 for 750 rounds! Vendor ammo prices were all over - not much combloc moved at $190 per crate of 54r. I suspect prices will be reduced today and again Sunday. Militaryshooters ran out of inventory and had the most Competetive prices on everything. Sunday will be the best day to go and snag an ammo deal
  18. So i like weird calibers and So I'm thinking of a 50 Beowulf as well as a 6.8 or 30 blackout. Oh yeah - in a shorty pistol of course! Would I be able to use the CMT upper for either of these calibers? Also, is it possible to buy just barrels? Seems like a lot of places have complete uppers - is there a cost savings buying a complete upper vs the individual components? Thanks for all the help!
  19. Does the man have nothing else to do? He's not getting the rise out of America yet for the gubbermint shutdown so he tries this tempest in a teapot? Lame
  20. His use of fake statistics and assumptive causal relationships is astonishing. In the US, Medicaid and Medicare make up 50% of healthcare spending not 18%. And his declaration that there is limited price negotiation in the US is patently false. What he fails to account for is the difference in quality available in the various countries he mentions. Using his artificial hip example in the UK, its all great sounding to say the the UK's NHS bids out their hip business to one vendor at the lowest price, except it means you are not likely to have the latest technology available to patients since older tech is what will win a bidding war. I can go on tearing apart his nonsense , but I'll just leave it that he has a punch able face
  21. Those CNN SOBs completely lie in their opening statement - when they say machine guns are illegal for most people.  Thats factually untrue.  In fact Machine Guns are legal to own for for most people, since the same 4473 questions used when buying a semi are used for the check.   The only things standing in the way are the $200 tax, local regulatoins and LEO approval (sans trust).    I sent CNN a note requesting them to correct the article - we'll see if the commies bother
  22. I went for a half hour. The guns I was interested in sold for more than I was willing to pay - typical auction. Kwik Kash will still be buying/selling guns. They just had a a large surplus of firearms
  23. Well thank goodness they're starting the cost savings with the High dollar expenses. If these idiots worked at my company they would be fired in a minute. Oh wait - they do work for me.....
  24. Oh the humanity! The suffering of the children! Funny to think that a webcam which has no paycheck somehow must be turned off to "save money"
