1.
This is the state of being a gun enthusiast in today's climate. Just a little sabre rattling sets off a run on certain types of ammo. Aim surplus is currently sold out of x39 and 5.45, SG Ammo not too far behind. Have to admit I'm part of the problem--I bought a case of that generic white box x39 last week when I probably wouldn't have but for the news. But even if there are trade sanctions we still have Romania, Bulgaria, and of course Ukraine, so let's not go crazy.
This is nuts - AIM runs a live inventory, and the other day as a test i put as many cans of 5.45 in my cart - it was $186 Million dollars worth of this ammo. Nearly 11,000 tins. I find it very hard to believe this all sold to the retail market - i have to think that some middle man retailer picked it up - but man - that is a TON of ammo - nearly 12 million rounds!
2.
"Your arm's off." "No it isn't. " Can anyone identify the movie?
Its just a flesh wound!
3. Man - I really would like a matching TGO set to go with my 15's - i hate to lose out on a deal but any chance we might see a future GB? I need the rest period anyway on my gun funds!
4.
Cmt link has three "t" in it instead of two. Delete one and you should get there
Now the site is down - must be rush of TGO traffic - lol
5. I was planning on buying more at the creek - oh well -
6. CMT 308 link not working off their site. Any tips ?
7. Drop em into an ammo can of boiling water. Save your brake cleaner cost that way
8. Tons of posts - search and read young skywalker
9. Strangely the obamacare taxes haven't been delayed. Whazzup with that.
10. Would love a TGO set with the same serial #s as my matching 556 lower set! Put me down for the group buy when it happens!
11. Luckygunner and several other sites are all owned by the same guy - allows for some interesting pricing strategies
12. Steel combloc mags. Bakelite are nice too if you like orange. Yugo BHO's are my preference for seeing when you're out
13. The talking dead episode after this one was hilarious - possibly one of the best. You're missing some serious fun if you havent watched the talking dead! PS; the talking dead said the hanged walkers were killed due to class warfare from the staff.
14. So the coins are granted by creating algorithms which essentially create the bitcoin network? Weird - i can't wrap my head around that - at least with fiat currency, its supported by the faith i a particular country's ability to pay its debts. This is created out of thin air and can vanish just as easily (yes i know the same can be said about fiat currency, but its odds of disappearing overnight are less
15.
Bees have started showing some activity and it was warm enough for the top down yesterday. I'm ready.
My bees have been bringjng in white pollen - something is blooming in all this ugly weather!
16. Very nice pre war stock! Have you inspected the tang to see by who and when the receiver was made?
17. So Obama speaks for 90 minutes with putin? Must have been a lot of begging going on.
18.
I just assumed it wasn't worth the hassle for the store to be sure the gun was in compliance with C&R status. I've never asked though, maybe one of the vendors here can tell us how'd they'd handle it.
Most places are cool about it - just ask. The bigger advantage of the c&r is it allows you to buy out of state - so you can access a much wider marketplace - the whole country!
19.
That has the AK100 series folder on it. It folds to the left side and locks into place. The button is to release the lock to unfold it
Thanks - seems like you might accidentally press the button while firing?
20. What is the little bump on the buttstock below the cleaning kit hole?
21. Good grief - you really think that children shot at close range with a 223 rifle and 10mm handgun are going to be only wounded? The nutbag executed them without any hindrance other than the teacher who tried to fight back. The only conspiracy here is the left gun grabbing
22. Thank goodness for company cars!
23. What is it about the "mining" that creates value? What are the applications for the math problems that are being solved ?
24.
At first they're ugly but they kinda grow on ya. Plenty accurate and ammo is still cheap. Cosmolene removal is easy. Take stock off and wipe metal down with mineral spirits, then apply oil. Wipe what you can see off the wood (with just a plain rag, no mineral spirits). You are done. Contrary to internet Bubba BS there is no need to "strip" the stock. If you find it doesn't shoot where you want it to and it came with a bayonet put it on and try again.
Also be sure to disassemble your bolt and clean the Cosmo out of it. I like brake cleaner for this job, and if you're really lazy you don't even have to disassemble it to clean it this way. Just be sure to lightly oil after using the brake cleaner - otherwise you risk rust. Also clean up the magazine - usually a bunch of cosmo in there
25. Maybe Obama will threaten to use harsh language next
