While it is done in a way to appear as every other topic/thread, it does have a blue tab in the top right corner, making it easy to spot.
I am getting it also on any forum i visit on tapatalk and i have a paid app. Annoying -
So what are some safe use for a pricy knife like this without ruining it? Also what method of sharpening is recommended?

Writing our Senators and Representatives about SBR's
Hershmeister replied to btq96r's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Incrementalism is something politicians like as it keeps them from fully committing to a position. The left uses it the time - why not gun owners? Why not also ask that SBR definition be changes from 16" to 14.5" since that is the length of the modern US military's rifle. The military chose that length for a variety of reasons, all of which are equally applicable to the civilian gun owner. Any reasonable person would agree that it doesn't make a difference in terms of concealment, which is the alleged purpose of a law for sbr's. It would reduce the burden on the feds to process nfa applications and increase their processing time for the remaindet -
Here's a interesting thing i picked up much to my wife's horror. Its a lamp made from an artillery shell casing and fuzecap! It needs rewired and then i have to figure out what kind of small shades to put on it

I Spent the day yesterday at the knob creek machine gun shoot. Ammo was moving briskly, with 54r being the fastest mover along with 5.45x39. Here's a pic of the century booth's prices, which were slightly higher than average, but not by much
My collections tend to be self-limiting, because I usually have goals and once the goals are met, can quit the addiction. Even the gun collection is "near complete" because there isn't much else am that much interested in. Have a small collection of slide rules. Condition doesn't matter as long as they are functional, and I don't care about acquiring every color or model variation. Just certain high points in the history. There are only two additional Picketts I might like, the N300 pocket model and there is a huge N3/N4 sized electronic model (ie, vector scales customized for electronics) but apparently they were rare and haven't seen a good price on one. OTOH there was also a neat aviation-navigation pocket rule, some artillery oriented models, and a pocket model for aerial photograph calculations that would be kewl maybe, at the right price. Then again, there were several other slide rule manufacturers who made iconic rules, but tend to be more expensive than Picketts. I keep meaning to make a wall display case, with a little brass hammer on a chain and a sign, "In case of power failure, break glass." :) From top: K&E 4054, Pickett N515 Electronic, N3 Power Log Exponential, N4 Vector Log Log, N531 Electronic, N902 Simplex Trig, N600 Log Log, Simple Circular Rule.
You should get into collecting CURTA calculators next ;)
