  1. Mazel Tov! I recently left a career of 16 years across three company merger/acquisitions myself. Its hads sometime to realize that your skills are unique and valuable - when its what you do every day it seems "normal" My new firm paid me a significant increase for those same skills which my prior employer had been slowly cutting benefits, increasing cost shares on benefits and very tiny raises. Sometimes its just time to move along.
  2. Seriously - What is with all the michiganers coming to middle TN?
  3. Interesting headline by the paper of course..... http://www.lebanondemocrat.com/article/crime/739416 Road rage incident leads to gun being fired into ground Mt. Juliet police say a road rage incident escalated in a neighborhood, where a man fired a shot from a handgun into the ground after being threatened with a club. On Wednesday about 2:45 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Bench Lane in the Providence Landing neighborhood in reference to an argument with possible gunfire. Officers arrived to find two adult men arguing in the street. Police say the two individuals first had contact on Hobson Pike, where a motorcyclist, identified as Larry Seigfried, 53, of Michigan, followed a 38-year-old male motorist to his home on Bench Lane and threatened him with a club. The motorist. who said he was in fear of Seigfried, pulled out a gun and shot into the ground. Seigfried was charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct. The other man was issued a citation for discharging a firearm within city limits.

  7. Got to love liberals / They create a "right to feel safe" of which there is no legal construct, and insist on limiting a constitutionally protected right.

  10. Great price! Try John J Bowman - it's even better and no one has figured it out yet
  11. His remark at the debate to defend his moderate positions on guns was because he was from a "rural state" I hope the folks in vermont appreciate the backhanded insult he just gave then
  12. Be careful with brake cleaner on painted metal. Good chance it will strip the paint
  13. Yes but it will be even weirder to not see her mom (and her mom to not see her) for half a year. I assume your wife loves your daughter, and if she does not visit Your wife will be very lonely, and could develop resentments that last well beyond the 6 months
  14. Agreed - likely on advice of the company lawyer so if someone does go postal they can claim they had a plan and try to avoid being sued for negligence
  15. Any idea when the BTAC will be out? Would love to get a bottle of william larue weller
  16. Best of luck! I think you'll quickly find that the stinking masses will finger-f$@ your knives far more than buy them. But thats the game of retail
  17. I kept thinking they should roll a 55gal drum of diesel off that cliff and light it. The fire in the quarry will become a giant zombie BBQ, and the zombies would all burn up since they are attracted to fire they'll all get lit up.
  18. Its not really that hard to run a trace when the firearm is in the possession of law enforcement. Most all manufacturer records today are computerized, as well as a large number of FFLs. They call the manufacturer with the serial # The manufacturer can then tell them what FFL they sold it to. Then the FFL is contactEd and does the same look up. Most firearms are not resold multiple times so generally these two steps are sufficient. If a private sale occurred then the detectives will contact the original purchaser and on ir goes. The better question to ask is what useful information actually is provides based on these searches? None really
  19. I hear Hillary might be interested in that record destruction job -
  20. I got one of the brownings from the safe house a couple years ago - forget the model name but it has spots in the door for scoped rifles. Great feature. I've been able to cram Far more long guns in there than its rated for [emoji41]
