  1. This is not a 922r issue, but since its been brought up:
  2. Look at it this way: If you take an AR, remove the buttstock, can you call it a pistol and put a 7.5" barrel on it? NO You as a private citizen have no ability or legal way to take that rifle and wave a magic wand over something and call it a pistol. It doesnt work that way. If the OP wants a shorter barrel, buy an Uzi/clone pistol, or SBR his Norinco 320
  3. Not correct. You can not take something that was once a rifle, and simply make it a pistol. Pretty fast way to get yourself in a bad situation. If you take the Norinco 320 pictured, and remove the wooden stock, and replace it with a original Uzi folding stock, it will remain a rifle and you should be fine. To shorten that barrel, you will complete the SBR application process, and once approved, you can shorten the barrel, but again; its still a rifle/carbine, not a pistol.
  4. Yeah, we a couple DW 10mm bobtails in stock. We sell quite a few of them. DW 1911s represent one of the best values in the 1911 market. They have a very narrow product line, but the guns they do sell are first rate and a ton of bang for the buck. If you want to get snobby with your 1911 purchase, We have 20 or so from makers like Wilson Combat, Nighthawk Custom, Ed Brown, etc that will run you 2k and up.
  5. meh. He will just get tired of it, and sell it.....

    S&W 340 PD

I carry the 340PD daily as a primary or backup depending on how I am dressed, and what the zombie threat level is. If you make it down my way, I would be happy to let you shoot mine, and I can also give you an amazing deal on one if you wish to purchase one.

  10. Glen, if I could afford to pay you what you are worth, I would hire you yesterday! -or- If you win the lottery and decide to quite your boring day job, I will hire you fulltime for what I pay Sammy!
  11. FYI, Hero-Gear / HeroGuns will be donating several items to be given as door prizes. This is not a complete list, but we plan of donating: 1. 12. We would open a North Chatt/Bradley County store before we ventured West.
  13. Yeah, we are spending the day in the Custer park tomorrow.
  14. Its actually a HD video camera, but IF I had a purse, it would be a Tactical Man Purse (or TMP) complete with Molle attachment for my lipstick and nail polish
  15. As you guys know, Im out of pocket for 2 weeks. Dan is evidently giving the store away while I am gone, so make sure you get down there and take advantage of the deals! Here is a picture from today...
  16. Yeah, I have but they were all LE/.Gov models. My unit actually has them inbound
  17. NONE of which you really need in a range environment.
  18. Yes, you can put a carry handle, BUIS, or optic on any of those A3 receivers.
  19. Quit working for the day that is... FYI: I am leaving for a much needed family vacation in a few minutes. I will be home on/around the 25th of July. In my absence, Dan, Sam, or Rod will be available to help with any of your questions or needs. I am also happy to announce that Hero-Gear has recently added 2 new employees: Roger Fox aka Foxy- Foxy is young (and hopefully trainable) and will be serving in a sales/shop support role. He is learning the business from the ground up, and will have the scope of his responsibility increased over time. Roger is serving in the Army National Guard, where he works as a mechanic for the 20th Special Forces (Airborne) Jamie Colfelt- Jamie is a former Marine (we dont hold that against him...) and is currently serving in the Army National Guard. Jamie spent a year in Iraq, and then moved off to Colorado where he spent two years at the Colorado School of Trade being training and certified as a gunsmith. Jamie will be working as our fulltime gunsmith, and will also be helping out in guns and ammo sales. If you guys come by the shop while I am gone, make sure you welcome the new guys, and do your best to talk them into giving you a crazy discount! They're new.....they dont know any better
  20. Single Stage GI Trigger: + Cheap + Easy + Reliable + Has worked for over 40 years and and a dozen conflicts - It's a GI trigger - Traditional hunters/bolt action guys hate them (but they forget this is a battle rifle) Two Stage Match Trigger: + SMOOOOOTTHHHHHH + Can assist in more precise grouping (if you do your part) + You can brag to your buddies about how much you spent - Expensive - Can be less reliable
  21. I dont have personal experience with the BC stuff, but have had nothing but good results with Del-Ton. Added: If you can save a ton of money, the BC stuff is worth a try. Its not like you are taking this rifle to Iraq, so if it does fail on the range, its not a matter of life and death. My guess would be that the BC stuff is fine, because if they were putting out total crap, the tinfoil hat guys would be foaming at the mouth on arfcom
  22. There are several great deals out there for people wanting a quality, factory built starter rifle (ie: doesnt have the uber maxed out SOPMOD/Kitchen sink option) Greats deals: DPMS Panther Lite 16 (available with A1 or A2 carry handles) in fact, all of the DPMS Lite configurations are great deals. Del-Ton DT15 (M4 style rifle that sells in low to mid 700s)
  23. Correct, Metro has it's own academy.
  24. I also own a rifle built up using the Vltor VIS2. Owning both, my vote goes to LMT.
  25. I highly recommend that route Here is my humble little rifle: LMT MPR upper Wilson Combat Tactical Custom lower (full auto) LMT 10.5" barrel 5.56mm 1/7 twist LMT 16" barrel 5.56mm 1/7 twist LMT 16" barrel 6.8mm 1/10 twist LMT bolt assembly 5.56mm LMT bolt assembly 6.8mm LMT supplied and calibrated torque wrench PRI Gasbuster charging handle EoTech 553 Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40 Arms BUIS Troy Industries front sight Surefire M900 Magpul CTR Magpul MIAD PRI 6.8 mags HK 5.56 mags Yankee Hill suppressor Enroute: LMT 6.8mm SBR barrel
