  1. Congrats. NFA is averaging 10-12 weeks in most cases.
  2. Looks like being in a rush will do no good... When I couldnt get in touch with LMT (after like 15 attempts) I called the outside factory rep. He let me know that they are currently shut down due to severe storms/tornados. All power and phones are out. I will continue to monitor this, and let you know when they are up and running and I have the upper in hand.
  3. I have a call into LMT, but was on the road today and was stuck in meetings all day with several Police Chiefs so I may have missed the return call. I have another full day on the road tomorrow, but will try to call between meetings and get you an answer. *If I had to guess, I would say 10 days until the upper is complete and ready to drop onto your lower.
  4. Hey Paul if you want the DMS-1, no problem! We have several in stock ready to go. Remember what I told you; YOU are the only one that has to be happy with your rifle. If it works for you, that's all that matters. (Unless someone here wants to step up and start paying for your gear ) The DSM-1 is a great little scope, and gets good reviews from 3 gun shooters and guys wanting an SPR type rifle. So, don't stress man. We can revisit your optic selection when you pick up the completed upper.
  5. +1 I wish the best of luck! I hope that both parents are able to keep focus on who its really all about.
  6. This has been discussed here: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10405
  7. Glocks and M&Ps have a 600 MSRP and sell at 509-545+ depending on the shop. So, dont deal with guys in Memphis if they are offering you 300 bucks. Thats borderline criminal. I can put you in a new G17 or MP9 for 50 bucks out the door. Thats like giving you around 550.00 for your gun. Not a bad deal in my opinion.
  8. Yeah, its worth around 450-500. Where are you located? Perhaps you can find a dealer to swap you out of the Beretta and into a carry friendly replacement. I could get you into a new Glock or Smith and Wesson M&P for very little money
  9. I will echo the fact that I am sorry you are dealing with this. I have two personal situations that may not give you much hope: 1. My exwife moved our daughter (joint custody) from CA to TN about 5 years ago. I fought her tooth and nail in the courts, and to make a long story short; I now live in TN. (which has worked out very well for me, so I guess I cant be too mad) 2. I met my now wife 4 years ago and she moved her and her son to Winchester when we got married. Her ex fought her in court, and could not stop the move. The first thing I would do (which im sure you may have already done) is sit down with the ex and discuss WHY she wants to move him. See if you can explore all issues with her, including your relationship with the child. Next, you may want to contact a very good lawyer, and seek their advice. You have an uphill battle here, but I wish you the best of luck.
  10. We played with one in 06 and it was "close to being released" then...lol Its an interesting concept but it has a few things going against it: 1. Kel-Tec cant keep up with production demands for their P3AT, how are they going to find time to produce this rifle? 2. Kel-Tec will have the same problem VW had when they introduced their 100k luxury car; people dont know them for high end items, but for cheaper, lower cost, and smaller ones. Are you going to spend 700-1000 bucks on a plastic Kel-tec rifle? or will you spend it on a Remington?
  11. As I said in my PM, shoot me an email and we can build it on paper. Once we get something on paper, we can price it out, and then move forward on the build.
  12. ok, my point was; call and verify with whoever you are sourcing your upper from.
  13. Look, the real advantages of building your own rifle are: 1. (and most importantly) you get EXACTLY what you want, not just the closest thing you could find from a dealer or manufacturer 2. You save a bit of money by not having to take a pre-built upper, remove the parts you want to replace, and then purchase the desired equipment. So, with that being said, it looks like you are in a situation where sourcing the upper/BCG from the maker of your choice would be the first step. Then source your barrel (which may come from the same provider as the upper) You can then spend 3 weeks looking at options for: Gas Block Front sight (perhaps a folding unit integrated into GB) Quad rail / Forearm There are plenty of members that would be happy to help you take that box of parts and help you build your dream upper. (and not have any left over parts from having to disassemble a prebuilt upper)
  14. Thanks for putting on a first class event Len! We look forward to supporting again next year. (but I want to be seated next to Yeager next time )
  15. Congrats and good meeting you yesterday
  16. As promised: Hoselton Ventures Unlimited 122 Turkey Creek Church Road Tullahoma, TN 37388 931-455-5553 Al Holselton: Owner Tell Al that Joe from HG sent ya!
  17. Yeah, it should bring every bit of 1200-1400 to the right collector. I have a beautiful 1968 SP1 plus my SP1 transferable machinegun. Not really the ARs I like to shoot, as I prefer more modern and reliable rifles, but they are great investments, and I jump on every SP1 I find at a good deal. With all the Colt geeks out there, its like money in the bank!
  18. Its HOSeltons (or spelled similar) not to be confused with Rick Uselesston of recent TGO fame. The new shop is very nice, and has the nicest collection of high end sporting guys our area has seen since Ray Judge's hayday. He is a full-line Browning dealer, carries some very nice Beretta doubles, etc. Very few pistols, most of which are on the high side pricewise, but keep in mind that he isnt focusing on that, but more so the well heeled sporting buyer. Rod and I spent some time with the owners, and they are very nice people. We wish them the best, and have promised to send most of our top shelf brown gun business to them. I will post the address and phone number when I get to work.
  19. Want a real deal commie death trap? Russian T34 tank will run you around 85k. I have guy that is looking to sell one if you are serious....
  20. Actually Dave, we DO have a beautiful pre-lock K22....
  21. There is also the new Leupold unit: http://www.leupold.com/tactical/products/scopes/prismatic-riflescope/prismatic-1x14mm-tactical-illum-reticle/
  22. Stocks and grips can be had for around 100 bucks on the web. There are fake short barrels that are available for 20-30 bucks. As you (may) know, that those barrels are designed to be very easy to change. There is a detent that you push, and then the indexed barrel nut is screwed off to change the barrel. When the Norinco 320s were imported, they did a small spot weld to keep the barrel nut from turning. You will need to file/grind on this to allow the nut to spin. Once you get the barrel off, you can take some time and clean up your work with a file.
  23. He cant because your Federal Government says he cant.
