  1. Hey Eric. I guess you just talked to Dan when you called. I didnt see that the 19 kit was not in stock when I posted this morning. Sorry dude FYI we have kits in stock for the Sub-Compact (baby) Glocks and for the 20/21
  2. 80% of the time, their prices are higher than the other big distributors when I am pulling numbers for a large sale. If you want to compare notes on distribution and supply, I would be happy to offline
  3. Fun to use if you want to look at guns, but Davidson's is the most expensive distributor in the industry...
  4. Have you visited all of these local retailers yet? http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=Jc1&resnum=0&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=38230+gun+shop&fb=1&view=text&sa=X&oi=local_group&resnum=4&ct=more-results&cd=1
  5. Oh, I dont know. My shop is in the middle of East Bumble F*ck, and we seem to be ok. There are several good shops in the Nashville area that should give you a fair and competitive price.
  6. If you cant find anyone in Nashville, I have Advantage kits in stock http://www.advantagearms.com/conversion_kit.html
  7. Hmmmm. Sounds like me What is a big loud Harley? (of course, I had to work today so I didnt get to ride)
  8. Looking at Bud's, here are just a few price comparisons. Smith and Wesson M&P Buds price 518.00 and 523.00 My everyday price: 509.00 Smith and Wesson 642 Buds price 403.00 My everyday price 417.00 CMMG Gas Piston AR Buds price 1299.00 My everyday price 1299.00 FN PS90 Buds price 1657.00 My everyday price 1699.00 GSG-5 Buds price 470.00 My everyday price 499.00 Heckler and Koch USC Buds price 1398.00 My everyday price 1400.00 We can do this all night, but my point is that Bud's has good prices but not the "absolute cheapest" and it may do you some good to establish a good relationship with a quality shop.
  9. I don't think there is anything wrong with buying from Bud's or some other online shop. If you choose to do this, perhaps you can do a few things: 1. Do all of your research online or with the e-merchant you plan on buying from. 2. If you plan on walking into a local gun shop (not pawnshop. I dont consider those real gun shops) to do your research, touch all of the guns, spend the owner's valuable time, please be considerate and let them know you plan on buying online. That way the gun shop owner/employee can decide how much time he wants to spend helping you and letting you select that perfect gun which you plan on buying elsewhere. 3. When you DO buy online, and can't figure out how to work something, need something fixed or repaired (for low or no cost) need that shop owner's help, please dial 859-987-9929 and ask the helpful guys at Bud's to troubleshoot your problem and fix it for you. I think that online shopping is fine, so long as you don't expect your local shop to help you if/when you have problems or need help/advice. For all the bargain hunters: Bud's Gunshop http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php 859-987-9929
  10. Yep. Very concise.
  11. +1 Keep it HOLSTERED (in the holster, open or not) or LEAGALLY CONCEALED (meaning we expect our CC customers to have valid permits)
  12. Try this image http://www.geocities.jp/e_custom00/sozai/PC9111.jpg
  13. Can you drop a 1911 in instead of the S&W and drop the firing line bit?
  14. I would be willing to be that the same guys having NDs or handing you loaded guns, are the same retards that wouldnt read your sign, regardless of what it says.
  15. What are you talking about Eddie? We make you leave all of your guns in the car when you come in... Yeah, I think most of us see those situations (unfortunately) all too often. I had a dude clear his loaded XD while pointing it at my chest. I had to do a quick side step and then remove the firearm from his hands....
  16. My opinion as a consumer and HCP supporter is that if a gunshop doesnt allow legal carry in their shop, they are part of the problem and you shouldnt support them. My policy as a gunshop owner is that legal carry is allowed and encouraged, but they must keep all loaded handguns in their holster. If they wish to show off their new carry gun, we ask that they go outside and clear it first. *Loaded longuns are not allowed.
  17. You can have as many short uppers as you wish, so long as you have 1 SBR or Pistol lower. There should be no need to quarantine your NFA items from your Title I stuff. Your SBR/Pistol lower will be marked, and no matter how many ARs you own, you should be able to remember which is short barrel legal, and which isnt.
  18. I have 12-15 1911s in stock from Nighthawk, Wilson Combat, and Ed Brown. I will try to find time to take and post photos of all of them, but I am 103% sure there is no gap. As been stated, if you are paying 2000.00+ for a 1911, it had better not have that unsightly gap. In defense of the CCA gun, it seems that they have addressed this issue in current/future builds.
  19. I have a half dozen $2000.00+ 1911s. I am on a self-imposed strike for awhile....
  20. 2.5 inch groups? at how far? How is that better than my Wilsons that group 1" at 25 yards? Added: I am 100% in favor of trying new things just for the sake of doing it, but I have to ask WHY would you want to run a 1911 in .357Sig? Hell, Sig Sauer doesnt even like selling their pistols in that caliber anymore...
  21. +1 Got Cookies?
  22. +1 Both guys are class acts. Now that Crookston guy...you gotta watch him...
