    any H&k guys?

I sold both of my USP-Compacts (V1) but still own a few: 1ea PSP 2ea MP5A2 I plan on buying another HK soon, just havent decided what I want yet.
  2. Congrats. What sort of upper are you going with?
  3. How did you guess?
  4. Totally off topic...here is my "big truck" in the Badlands of South Dakota last month
  5. Soldiers assigned to US Special Operations Command, US Special Forces Command, and the 1st Special Forces Regiment (1st,3rd,5th,7th,10th,19th, and 20th Groups) not assigned in a Victor (Airborne Ranger) position, or with a PMOS within CMF 18 wear a maroon beret. All soldiers assigned to the 1st Special Forces Regiment (1st,3rd,5th,7th,10th,19th, and 20th Groups) wear the Special Forces Distinctive Unit Insignia on their berets regardless of beret color. The male soldier in that picture looks to be a former 11series Infantryman (Note the CIB, but no blue cord) assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division.
  6. Yeah, I know for a fact the 75th had 240s in inventory back in 93*, but wouldn't know about 101st or the Deuce. *The M60 may have still been on the property book, but I am pretty sure it wasn't the primary crew served MG at that time. I PCS'd from Benning back over to Germany around that timeframe and we had 240s with the Bradley crews (obviously) and also two assigned to each platoon's dismount section. It sucked signing for 37 Grunts and over 15million worth of equipment the week I signed in, and loaded the buses for Graf/HTA for a 60 day train up headed for Macedonia and their jacked up UN mission. Added: Thinking back, I know the RTB still used the M60 for students in Ranger School back then.
  7. The same color you use to paint your toes with... PINK
  8. Where were you station in DE? I think I spent half my life at Graf/HTA! While in DE, I was with: 4/7 (3AD Division Scouts) and later 8thID Pathfinders 1/15 Infantry which turned into 1/18 Infantry mid-way through a deployment to Macedonia.
  9. I would put a dab of blue Loctite on them. (dont over do it) You can also use finger nail polish for a field expedient build when Loctite isn't available.
  10. Jack's shop has been a non-starter since day one. Want to hear something funny? He actually had the balls to tell everyone he was going to "put me out of business" when we were first opening up.... I guess that didn't happen.
  11. Ohhhh....gotcha. Dont worry man....I bet your daughter is darling too! We will look forward to meeting her next time you come in.
  12. Good meeting you the other day. BTW, your daughter is darling! You're going to be in trouble when she gets older...(says the guy with the 11 year old daughter that just started middle school....)
  13. The M60 left Active Duty inventory (at least for the Infantry & Ranger Regt) long before you came in. We were using the M240 back in '93 (maybe earlier, but im getting old and my memory sucks) I can remember leading a platoon sized Infantry task force through the streets of Brcko, Bosnia back in '95 with four 240s and eight 249 SAWs along with all the other M16/M4/M203 in the platoon. I think during that time, the ash and trash units may have had M60s, but we didnt really deal with those guys much. I know the National Guard and Reserves had M60s into 2000-2001 time frame as I had to evaluate some of the NG Infantry units at the NTC around that time.
  14. No I went and asked.
  15. Thanks for the input guys. It really helps.
  16. Yeah, thats the plan. Group them by categories so the customer looking for pretty brown shotguns can find them without sorting through all those scary black rifles
  17. What are you talking about!?! Thats has NEVER happened in my shop!!!!
  18. The customer can rotate the stock.
  19. Thats just a google picture. I can assure you these cases are not cheap! Its always hard to make an investment in something that doesnt pencil out to represent an increase in sales or profit, but im biting the bullet on this in an attempt to better display and (hopefully) serve our customers.
  20. Here's a question for the masses; We have a hard time displaying our mid to higher end long guns. I am always afraid that some knucklehead is going to be knocking rifles around in my racks, and scratch, dent, or ding a nice 1000.00 rifle, or jack up a rifle with a nice Leupold or Zeiss scope on it. So, to help with this, we are going to put all of our nicer rifles/shotguns that we dont want banged around into rotating display cases. Like this: (only not camouflage) We have 4 of these units showing up this week, and they should in place by Monday. Question: Are shoppers turned off by not being able to root through the rifles the very moment they walk in the door? Is this a bad move on our part? My thinking is that it will allow me to place nicer and sometimes more delicate rifles out for display, and also encourage customer/staff interaction as we assist the customer by opening the case, clearing the firearm, and helping them with any questions they may have. Thoughts?
  21. +1 Thats the ONLY way to promote a non-biased sales culture. I hate asking a sales guy a question about "what is the best one for me" knowing he makes money based on his answer. I will add that I originally said our staff received no commission from the sale of guns. I will expand and clarify that by saying we have ZERO spiff or commission opportunities here at Hero-Gear.
  22. Interesting. How many shops have employees that receive commission or spiffs from the sale of firearms? I would think very few do, but maybe im wrong. *Hero-Gear employees/staff receive zero commission/perks/spiffs from selling guns.
  23. Yes, its the exact same process as converting/registering a regular rifle receiver.
  24. Really?! You are more than welcome to come down and adopt all of my used .357 autos....
