How about you bring your wife to Hero-Gear, and you BOTH pick out nice gun packages? Get her involved in a sport that you like, and that could one day save her life. We have lots of lady friendly guns and gun packages and im sure she would find something fun that she couldnt live without.

Gutterboy hasnt/wasnt tasked with anything. Your heart was in the right place, but work and life got in the way of your doing anything. I couldnt afford to wait another 6 months. Easily was interviewed for the gig, but he has a busy schedule as well, which meant he wasnt able to produce in the timeframe needed. In the end, I found a local webgeek that could set up a simple site powered by WP which allows me to make on the fly changes without getting all geek-a-fied with code and other skills way beyond my capabilities. Its not exactly what I want, but its miles ahead of where we were at, and with the shopping cart being only weeks away, I feel good about the project.

Well, I guess my point is that sometimes we get someone working to get the absolute lowest price on the gun. If the gun is listed at 559.00 and we knock say 40 bucks off to 509.00, and we have both agreed that those are fair prices everyone can live with, so prick will then come in at the last moment and say "thats out the door....right?" So basically saying "I know we just negotiated the price to a fair price, but how about you take another 60 bucks off" Most of the time (especially on handguns in this range) 30-50 bucks MORE off would mean the dealer is losing money. Which I prefer not to do.

We have the Mako version in stock, and its much nicer than the original Grip Pod. They are sorta long and unnecessary on the sorta rifles I like to run, but I could see using one on a SPR or DMR type gun with a 18" or 20" barrel.

We had issues with a Wilson Combat 9mm 1911. We had to send it back to Wilson because of FTF/FTE/FTW (failure to work) issues. Wilson said one of the biggest issues was the magazine, which they were outsourcing at the time. They got it running, but it took a few times to get it right.

I dont think anyone is saying you're a prick for expecting a reasonable transfer fee. We have discussed this in great length (im too lazy to search, maybe someone can and post the threads) and I think most of us came to following conclusion: 1. Most understand that dealers need to make money to stay in business. 2. There is an acceptable cost or fee associated with transferring a gun from another dealer. 3. The average "acceptable" cost to do so was 25-35 dollars. So, if you find dealers that are rude when you ask them to accept a transfer, or in your case charge a fee outside of your comfort zone, my suggestion is to smile and walk out the door and continue your search for a FFL that better meets your needs.

Isnt there a shop in East Nashville that does free transfers? I thought there was some old guy that only charged the 10.00 TICS fee, just to get people to come talk to him at his shop

Are you asking if you can drop a complete 6.8 upper on a 5.56 lower? Then YES. You will need to run 6.8 mags, but other than that, you are good to go.
