Yep, been working with YHM for well over 3 years and they have been nothing but top notch.

I got a little confused halfway through your post, as its hard for me to focus posts from condescending experts, so let me ask you to actually tell us what YOU would do. It SOUNDS like you are suggesting that unless you are a prize fighter, that the correct response should be to go to guns. Is that what you are saying? I will refrain from giving my opinion, until you clarify exactly what you are suggesting, but for the record I have absolutely no problem go hands on as the next evolution in my use of force continuum. And personally, if someone (that knew me, and my experience) suggested that the next logical step would be for me to go guns up, they are an idiot and dangerous in their preaching. (your situation and mileage my vary)

*One thing to remember; some manufacturers jacked their lower prices to the dealers last winter. I can tell you that Spikes Tactical jacked their price 50 bucks per unit. So yeah, im sitting on around 300 of just their lowers (we have more from other manufacturers as well) that were purchased at the "new and not improved" price of old cost +50 bucks. Its a crazy market right now, and like Phil said; there were manufacturers (Spikes for example) distributors (Lew Horton for example) and dealers (many...) that jacked their prices to take advantage of the hysteria. I sucked it up and paid the extra premium for 500 Spikes lowers, but I will tell you that I doubt I will be reordering large quantities from them in the future. I no longer do business with a couple of distributors because of the same thing Phil mentioned; gouging to dealers. I also think that those dealers that tried to take advantage of their customers during uncertain times should be made very aware of their sins. I just spent an hour on the phone talking with a buddy who works at the largest distributor in the industry. He said that he as dealers in free fall right now, and many that will not make it. They overpaid and overcommited and their markers have been called. Scary stuff for sure! Another indication that this industry is clueless and retarded: I had a manufacturer call me on Monday to let me know my SHOT Show order was ready to ship. I said great, how much of it? His response? ALL of it! Huh? So let me get this straight; You are calling me in JULY to tell me you are shipping 50k worth of ARs that I ordered in Jan, and you are shipping the order COMPLETE. They could have certainly shipped partials for the last 6 months like most of the other manufacturers, but no....you guys let rifles sit on a shelf until you had the entire order ready to go. Really smart! Great way to screw your dealers. lol

I think the term "skull drag" comes to mind. At this point, I would be pissed and ready to protect my personal property, but in no way feel my life is threatened. Both of my hands would be free, as my gun would still be holstered, which allows me to snatch his thieving ass out of my vehicle and onto the ground. I still believe in a good old fashioned beat down, so lethal force remains my final option.

FYI: I have Serial Number: 6 coming my way. I also have 3 more available, so PM asap if you want one. TGO Benefactor Price: 3100.00 cash/check/mo

Yep. and I hope that the consumers all remember the dealers that jacked prices on Mags, Lowers, ARs, etc. Those dealers should be rewarded for their customer loyalty and integrity during the big Gun-Scare of Winter 09.

If you dont want to add a quadrail, the ole Harris #5 is the way to go. http://www.cactustactical.com/osc/harris-adapter-for-ar15-p-1537.html -
We all received emails regarding the charge a few weeks ago. Check to see who the inside customer service rep is sending emails too. Also, I would bitch to Stuart next time you see him. (he will be at my shop tomorrow, so I am assuming he may head your way after that)

NEED TO FIND ELITE TACTICAL SYSTEMS OWNER

Don't hold that against The Outpost. They didnt know his history when they hired him, and once his "issues" were presented to the staff, his presence was no longer needed, so you can be assured that The Outpost is Frank-Free. -
There are two schools of thought on this: Start your own shop, or go to work for/under an existing smith. Its a great feeling to own/run your own shop. You're your own man, and accept 100% of both the risk and the reward. The downside? (dont take this the wrong way) but 99% of the new graduates from any gunsmithing program are not ready to run their own shop. Regardless of what CST tells you; you need several years of training under a master gunsmith. 12-16 months in Colorado and a few years using a deadblow mallet on your unit's 240Bs don't prepare you for running a successful shop. My general gunsmith (we also have a dedicated 1911 smith) graduated at the top of his class from your exact program about two years ago. He came to me highly recommended from the school, and was "one of their very best" I will tell you that I did him a disservice by hiring him right out of school. I should have required him to work under a master for 18-24 months for additional mentorship and instruction before coming to me. Good luck, and let me know if I can do anything to help a fellow Army guy follow his dream.

This is my first time to Destin, having not grown up or spent a lot of time in the South. My wife Kelly has been coming here since she was a kid, and has told me about 49430873 hours worth of Destin stories since we have been married

Hows the weather up there? We are down in Destin and enjoyed white beaches today, and will enjoy dark beer at Mcguires tonight Dolphin. The other, other, OTHER white meat.

Anyone here running a LWRC piston driven upper on your AR?
BimmerFreak replied to TGO David's topic in Long Guns
yeah, but he got shutdown later in the thread. Yep, which is why I built the little PSD up; just because. You (and many others) have seen my 10" full auto DGI gun which runs a suppressor 90% of the time. It now has close to 10,000 rounds of auto/suppressed use (some call abuse) with zero cleanings. ZERO. It continues to function perfectly. -

* I still see NO reason why one would NEED a GP gun, unless then are running their guns suppressed. I see this as the only REAL benefit. If you want one of these to be a cool kid, I support your decision, but the DGI system works, has worked, and will continue to work in every situation and environment it faces.
