  1. Dang, I must have failed, the bear distracted me and I only got 9 of the passes.
  2. We heard you were getting a name change. GLOCKLESS. lol. Just kidding around.
  3. Figured as much. Sorry
  4. Me? I just replaced the plugs in my daughters KIA, shop was gonna charge her 150.00 to do it and it only took me an hour and I haven't turned a wrench in years. When I was in the AF KIA meant killed in action, it sure wasn't the name of a little rice burner.
  5. True but a car is a titled instrument. I firearm is not. Around here the LE's call the original complaintant to retreive the item. It's up to the person to "do the right thing" There is a 95% chance if it's recovered he will end up with it because the ins. company can't just "sell" it to anyone, it would have to be handled through proper channels, IOW they would probally want it to go through a FFL on the out side also, to cover their butts. I hope he ends up getting it back and it's in good shape.
  6. Well it's like a car being totaled, once they pay you for it, it's theirs. You may be able to buy it back from them for a "discounted" price but it would actually belong to them. In all probality you will not see the gun for a while and when/if you do it could very well be trashed (all scratched up, etc.) which would lower the value quite a bit. Say for instance, cops findit ona robbery suspect, he drops it on the ground, when they cuff him they kick it around on the pavement, then it's kept 3 years in the evidence room. Once it's returned to you it would be worth very little. Call the insurance company, tell them that it was returned to you but in whatever condition it actualy is in. You would have to ask them what they want you to do with it. Once they give you "disposition" instructions you can offer to buy it for whateveryou want to offer. Now that being said. Ifyour insurance co. is out of state. They will just tell you to keep it since they would incur more costs in even getting it to them. Also, if they want it back, insist it goes through a FFL and they pay the "fees" that way it's no longer in your name;).
  7. I've got one, went bang everytime I pulled the trigger so far. 180 is a good price, is it blued or stainless? If you decide you don't want it pass the info along, I know someone who does.
  8. I'm in as well as my wife and son.
  9. That is true. I just misread it to read "can't get tax, you have to pay it" and wanted to throw my uneducated 2 cents in there.
  10. I didn't call you anything. I just compared you to a former member who caused all kinds of problems for handgun owners around here. Looks like you are proud to be headed down the same path. Some people never learn.
  11. That may be true, but if he has to buy a replacement then he has to pay tax on it, so it should be included in the estimated value.
  12. Well if being compared to a real dip**** who is out to screw the normal gun owner is what you were looking for then you are welcome. Hopefully kwik will never be heard from again.
  13. I'm probally going to get flamed for thsi but the people who drive up the shoulder really get pissed at me. If I see them coming I pulll 1/2 way into the shoulder to keep them from getting around. Their life is no more important than mine or the other 200 folks stuck on the interstate. Funny they don't even try to go around my big white truck once it's blocking most of the shoulder.
  14. Dang man, sorry to hear that. I just came in from shooting my new G23. They really do shoot real nice don't they.
  15. Get the 6.8SPC upper. They rock.
  16. That's what I'm thinking.

    Gorilla Glue?

It's a funny story actually. But not for here

    Gorilla Glue?

The only thing Gorilla glue has not worked on for me is glueing a tooth back in a set of dentures.
  19. According to the news it said it was cancelled because the iman had decided to move the mosque at the WTC but the news said that he had not agreed to move the mosque.
  20. Myself, my wife and my son are gone also. Should someone call the DOS? Just to be sure, ya know.
  21. I used a vise and wooden dowel.

    M&P 9mm

It won't hurt the gun. Over on the M&P forum they actually said it's a desired design. Said they did it on purpose.

the only way to stop this is to NOT slam the mags into the gun. Other than that, enjoy the fast mag changes
  24. In a word.... NASTY.
