  1. That's because the darn things were sent with the front sight canted, Kel tec was fixing them for free but you had to send it in.
  2. Over on www.theberettaforum.net there is a guy selling a almost brand new set.
  3. Beretta's are great. while I don't own a 92a1, I do own others that came before it. The only problem I have with carrying one is the "lanyard pin" sticks out and has torn a hole in my seat in the truck.
  4. Well, I've had it happen. Not exactly the back glass but 3am I hear the awfulest crash coming from the kitchen (not back of the house) area. I grabbed my Cougar loaded with 180g JHP gold dots, flashlight and stuck an extra mag in a shorts (uncomfortable but works) and proceeded to check the alarm (no alarm activation since no glass break, which has been corrected), my wife right on my heels even though I told he to stay put, I come around the corner to find.................................................... Pile of dishes had fell out of the cabinet. Crap, lost a dozen or so dishes, bunch of scratches on my hard wood floor, and no sleep the rest of the night. After cleaning up the glass I was still charged so I could not get back to sleep. No dog, cats don't care who comes and goes as long as someone feeds them, good alarm on a cell phone with very quick response from the central office.
  5. Smith did a run of 10 for a friend of mine.
  6. If I got hammered, I might think I could play one.
  7. Sorry for your loss.
  8. Well the "belt clip" or paddle holster won't work in my situation, I now have a holster to put it in if I have to disarm in the future.
  9. That I have to disagree with. Where my hand was, if something hit the safety, the grip safety was already disengaged so that it would have gone off anyway. And those of you that are suggesting a holster. I have learned my lesson. I am getting a holster for the truck.
  10. Well not to sidetrack you on which gun is safer. My son brought me a little something this morning, I about busted a gut. He brought me a bandaid decal to go on my trucks boo boo.
  11. Yea, I just knew I was shot, hand was stinging, pinkie hurt like heck. Turns out the pinkie was hit by the slide trying to come back. Only damage to me is my pride.
  12. Guess it's a good thing I didn't get caught in Ma with my 945 years ago. Before my HCP, I carried for protection in my van, well had to do a job in Ma so it went too. Only after I returned and learned some of the gun laws did I find out how bad I could have been screwed.
  13. I understand, the only thing in the pocket was my 6 pack of extra mags, I'm thinking it got hung on one of those. I will be getting a holster to "mount" in there starting tomorrow.
  14. What caused it was I was not pating enough attention to what I was doing and "stuffed" the gun in the door like I always do, something got into the trigger guard and the rest as they say is history.
  15. Yea, me too. Talk about messing up your day, to see the damage on the truck I'd hate to see a wound from these 135 graig rangers.
  16. No I was driving down the road (hwy 30). I WON'T touch my gun once I cross that line designating school property. And a holster might be a good idea. I'll look into that.
  17. Nope, S&W M&P40C with the apex tatical trigger parts. It was totally my fault. I should have stopped the truck, took the gun off, secured it and then continued on.
  18. Well I'm not sure, but I would say something in the side pocket got stuck in the trigger. The only way I have found to make a gun go off is to pull the trigger.
  19. Well it finally happened to me. I was on my way to a job site this morning that just happes to be a school so I removed my gun from the holster, placed in the pocket on the door like I have done thousands of times before. When..... BANG. Through the plastic pocket, through the plastic trim on the door frame, through the weather seal, and into a section of the truck that is coverd by the door when closed. Good news is no one was hurt, bad news I shot my truck. Boy was the wife upset. Now I haven't taken a picture of it but it cut a big gash in my truck. The bullet is still there, not hurting anything so no reason to do surgery. And to dispellany rumors, I heard the gun go off but it was not nearly as loud as it is when I'm just shooting it. Be careful out there, it can happen to anyone.
  20. Yup. even tried a different tablet.
  21. With plastic/polymer guns I clean them and set them out in the sun to dry(so I don't clean them unless it's hot and sunshining. with all metal guns IE Beretta 92 for instance I clean the gun, turn the over on 250 and let the oven dry the gun completely, then I oil.
  22. Leave your guns in TN, it's the only way to assure you have them and your freedom when you return.
  23. Amen brother.
  24. I've got one. they work great.
  25. MY wife was dianosed with 2 or 3 "ruptured" or "bulging" disks years ago. Went the whole non surgical gambit, IE, shots (helped for a few days), pain meds (hated taking them), exercise(didn't help on the pain), Finally when we lost our health insurance she said "I'll just have to suffer with it" Well after about 6 months of watching her suffer with no relief, someone suggested trying a different bed. Now we had just bought a very expensive (IMHO) pillow top bed. She loved it, I hated it (I had to sit on the edge of the bed every morning and get the circulation back in my legs or hit the floor when I tryed to get up). I checked out different beds, nothing in my price range seemed to feel any better than what I already had, so in a final act of desperation I talked with a customer of mine who owns a retail store that just happens to have beds in it. He tells me of the stuf he was going through with his back pain and finally broke down and bought a temperpedic bed (course he gets a discount) and wonders and amazement he no longer has back pain and can move around normally. Ok, I can't afford one and he knows it, but I get the wife to go down there and lay on one for a few min. and she loves it. Figures. I manage to find a way to get one (now I got mattress and box springs and the stupid little pillows), and after just about 3 days I no longer had to sit on the edge of the bed in the morning, I hit the ground running, so to speak. Her it takes a little while longer to feel different, but after about 1 month of sleeping on it she no longer has back pain (unless we have to work on a concrete floor all day). Took the long way around to tell you that you need to at least try one, if you have a store that has them locally then go lay on it for 15 min. see if it doesn't feel good. I love mine and if I needed a new mattress today I'd buy another in a heart beat.
