  1. Yea, it takes a state and a half the size of Texas to turn at top speed. And it's done by computer because any sudden monuments would make it fly apart. I did hear tell of them launching. A missile from the s71 once and only once. The blackbird was so fast it goto in front of the missile and got locked on. Had to outrun it. True of not I don't know but it's been going around the air force for years
  2. Thanks. I feel like a new man already.
  3. To be honest the "diet" pills I was taking only worked for a few weeks. I haven't had any thing in months. I eat, I don't starve myself. I have cut down on my consumption and log everything I eat. What I have discovered: 1 bread is your enemy. 2 everything comes with bread (see the problem) 3 don't be afraid to cheat once in a while, you like something that's not good for your diet? Eat it anyway once in a while and in moderation. 4 get a fitness tracker (I like fitbit) and log everything you eat. It will surprise you how much you really eat. 5 if your joint hurt all the time, hurts to walk, it's time to do something. It hurt me just to walk and now I can climb a ladder all day long and my knees don't hurt. 6 cheat foods to keep handy, pickles, nuts, fruit. Nuts and fruit in moderation, pickles have very little calories and will curb the desire to eat something sweet. I've got a long way to go but to be honest I've already gone further than I thought I would. Oh and one more thing, Your weight will fluctuate, it's not a setback. It will happen.
  4. As of today I'm down to 328. That's from 395 since November 1st.
  5. Welcome and thanks for your service
  6. Need to show you pork chop. He stands on his hind legs and pulls apples of my red delicious tree in the back yard
  7. Some ABC store in eastern north Carolina
  8. Mike, my brother told me to look for a pecan bourbon called William wolf. You got that?
  9. At 395 I could hardly walk. My knees hurt all the time. Today I ran up and down a ladder about 25 times, I'm sitting here and I have no pain. I still have a bad knee but it no longer hurts like it did before (hurt it when I was 16) I'm not stopping now.
  10. Thanks, my goal is 265. I'm not hurrying it, not starving myself either. Small changes do wonders.
  11. As of this morning I was at 337. That's down from around 395 on Nov 1st.
  12. I sure like that. I'll have to sell the 40 and get the 45.
  13. David, I know where to get some excellent very rare vintage.
  14. You need a bottle of wine.
  15. Well it was fresh wild caught and I cooked it myself. Not a bunch of breading and very little salt. I came back from eastern north Carolina a few months ago and brought back about 100 lbs of jumbo shrim .
  16. Before I started I would be out of breath if I walked to the dumpster and back. I'm doing much better now. Of course I crashed it last night. Had fried shrimp, flounder, hushpuppies, and soft shell crabs. I guess it's back to the ole drawing board. But it was so good.
  17. My wake up call was when I got life insurance and I weighed in at 381 lbs, thinking something was off I ignored that and continued about my life. I estimate I was around 395 before I took control. I've lost 50 lbs since Nov 1st. I use the fitbit charge hr as well. And yes it's off a bit but what helps me most is tracking everything I eat. I've cut out most sodas. I might drink 3/4 a 16.9 Oz bottle a day, most of the time it's closer to 1/2 bottle. I drink plenty of water 5 to 7 bottles a day. I'm down to 340 and my goal is 265. I'm 6'4" so it was not apparent I was that heavy. My knees quit hurting and my aches and pains have diminished substantially.
  18. I made it. I was having dt's for a while there.
  19. Well if someone wants to arrest me, I'll be sitting here having a glass of wine with my trusty sidearm well within reach. :D
  20. So what you are saying is that I can't have a glass of wine in my own home unless I lock my gun up? Let them try and enforce something like that.
  21. Prayers for fast recovery Gordon.
  22. Being under age they won't do anything to him
