  1. Not really, just get a bill of sale when you sell a gun, that way if anyone comes looking you can show them where it went when it left your hands.
  2. No you got it muddy. 1 guns are NOT registered to you. 2 You fill out a 4473 so they can be traced back to you at any given time. Here in TN we have No gun "registeration" the info that is used to do your "background" check is done is deleted after (I'm not sure but you said 72 hrs). but the 4473 is kept for 20 years.
  3. I conceal carry most of the time. My concealed is pulling my shirt down over my OWB Bianchi 82 carrylock with my XD 40SC in it. If I am working it has been known to "show" but not intentally. The reaction most of the time is "what kind and what caliber" nothing more.
  4. Hey people, over on THR "somekid" has posted that both these bills were killed in the house, Tell me it ain't so.
  5. I do a lot of business with my bank (my kind of business and theirs), I was in collecting a down payment for an alarm system and the gentleman was acting "squirrely", you know eyes darting back and forth, checking everyone that entered very carefully. I had to ask was everything OK? He said, if I duck under the desk then you had better follow cause I saw a gun.. I looked at him a little strange and asked him was he expecting trouble, he said no but I'm always prepared. I said tell you what, if you duck under the desk then just stay behind me cause I ain't dieing in your bank, and if all they want is the money then fine but if they start shooting people then I will have to act and try and protect myself. I think maybe I scared him into reality, every time I've been in the bank since them he just smiles at me a waves with a relaxed smile on his face.
  6. never came out on trading seems I pay more than they are willing to give
  7. Well I have nothing official , however I was told by a little bird that we have the votes to get this passed already:D. I just wanted to thank all who have emailed, called, and sent letters to our reps. Although I was told what I was told I would NOT let up. Hammer down and keep up the good fight.
  8. Legends outdoor in athens has them.
  9. Yea, if someone busts in my house and places a 45 to my head, he might want to watch out for the one my wife will be holding and firing at his , I have a para ord, 14.45 lda sitting on the head of my bed for just an occasion. If I don't grab it she will. Of course I WILL NOT open the door for someone I don't know and if they "bust in" well lets just say I was in fear of my life since I didn't know them and did not know what they intended. Now on the off chance this was to happen, anyone want to come help clen up a 150 gal saltwater fish tank? Sure enough it's gonna take one in the heart:(. Anyone know what 150 gal of slat water will do to my hardwood floors?
  10. The 82 is a through the belt type with auto retention, I wear one all the time climbing around in attics ETC. Being a belt type it pulls up nice. I for one don't like the holster that came with my Xd, the way the slots are cut it just hangs out there for anyone to see and catch on everything. I bought a kydex paddle holster and it did the same. I guess over all I have come to like the Bianchi holster so much that when I buy a new gun that I might end up carrying I go ahead and get a holster to fit it. Hope this helps.
  11. 2 things, 1st, for your Xd, unless you just have to have IWB, try the bianchi 82 carry lock. I ues it all the time, pulls up nice and tight so a slightly oversized shirt would cover nicely. 2nd, not sure of how but was reading the paper today and it seems Rep. Bell is push for a bill next session to make handgun info (carry info like the Tennesseean posted) "private".
  12. Yea, believe it or not not of the "deleted" emails I got back was from Eddie Bass, one of the sponsors of the bill.
  13. I was not aware of this. I just figured they had gotten so many they were just deleting them.
  14. I hope you have better luck with your emails than I did. Most of what I got back was "deletes without being read"
  15. Ok, when does it go into effect? Is this one of those laws that we have to wait 6 months before it's active or was it active the minute the Gov. signed it?
  16. Well we have all heard this one before. Is there ANY information in writing that states whether or not we have to be a victim when we go into a post office (not the retail store, just checking the mail at the boxes)? I'll be honest I have carried my firearm into the post office for 4 years . I quit doing this since I found out that it is supposed to be a "federal" building. Initially I was under the impression that the "public access" area was considered just that. My post office has a sign posted at the entrance to the "retail" side, but NOT on the main entry doors to the building. I would like to get something I can use to determine what is the correct assumption. Thanks.
  17. If the email server handles all their mail I can tell you that being blocked is not the case. I got 1 reply, and 3 or 4 "read" messages (for some reason when I send an email I get a "return receipt") I would never send a message out with a title like that:devil:. I'd be afraid "big brother" is watching to close.
  18. Well maybe I'm just not important enough for him.
  19. I have gotten 1 reply, and 3, Eddie Bass and Michael McDonald and Doug Overbey, deleted my emails without eve reading them . Did they forget they are there to serve US? I am almost beginning to believe I offended them by emailing my request for support.
  20. Well I tried to send it, dang email server rejescted my emails, said I had to many to send at one time. so I sent 1 email, to ALL of them.
  21. My LGS has a sign posted that states "all firearms must be check at desk", when I asked about it they said it only applied to the "cowboy idiots". Seems some DA went in there with a loaded 1911 on his hip, yanking it in and out, checking different holsters ETC. I told them that if I had to disarm before coming into the store I'd take my business elsewhere. they told me in no uncertain terms that "I was a valued customer and they knew I carried and that they were proud to have me shop there". I've printed up some of those cards and have started using them in places that don't carry. I only go in BPS to look around and maybe buy something that is on sale that I can't get elsewhere. I have made 2 purchases there totaling less than 75.00. The last time I was in there (Sevierville) they acted like it was a burden to wait on me so I'll probably not go back. I work too hard for my money for some punk kid to act like it's not his job to help a customer.
  22. Your welcome, I got them off the Beretta forum. Now if I could understand what you said other than thanks I'd be doing good.:stare:
  23. Thanks, That is some very good info.
  24. Thanks for the help. Now if I could just get them to "view"
