  1. Yea I shot a cantalope (had to put it down, rabid I guess) from about 12 to 15 feet using gold dot 165 grain and the dang thing exploded. I was picking up pieces of it for a week.
  2. That in it'self is reason enough for me not to comply, My family would be right there doin what they could to keep the wolves at bay.
  3. You will be glad you did, just do it before you make a decision. I have the M&P 40c and it is very nice. Got the CS red dot grip for it and put the pinki extenion on all my mags, and it does have interchangable back straps to get a better "feel" and fit. If you were close I'd let you try mine out.
  4. I would consider the S&W M&P 40C.
  5. Between Biden acting like that and now I heard the Bill Clinton was campaining for obama again we might just pull this one out of the hat yet.

    HOME SECURITY

Just give me a call. I'll be glad to come out and see what you need.
  7. Lucky, that's funny. I was born in New Bern, I'll bet I haven't spent more than 6 years in NC total. And how did you find Eden?
  8. Nope. Exactly.
  9. The only problem I have is feeding them. Dang those things eat everything I throw at them. I don't recommend wolf steel case ammo for them but anything else is fair game. If you get one go out and shoot it just after dark (not late enough to disturbe the folks living around you) and watch the fire ball that comes out of the barrel.
  10. Heck, I've got 2 of em. They are a blast to shoot. Put a red dot sight on it and it's good to go, pretty accurate to. If you get one make sure and get the forearm grip thing, that barrel gets pretty warm.

    HOME SECURITY

I would contact a local reputable alarm company and see what they can do for you. A double wide should not take a great deal of equipment to secure. A hardwired or wireless system could be installed easily. On 3 acres I might forgo the "outside" siren and opt for a 2nd or even 3rd inside siren. Noise and the yard signs help a bunch.
  12. Hey Tarheel78, Where in NC do you hail from?
  13. My first experiance with a 40 was a 1st gen Glock 22, hated it, put 2 mags through it and sold it the next day. Now that being said, the 40 has become my fav. round. I carry a M&P 40C, I have a glock 22 3rd gen in my bug out bag along with keltec's sub 2000 in 40 (uses the glock mags). The 3rd gen glock shoot much better than the 1st gen did. I have a bunch of 45's and a bunch of 40's. But the 40 is a great round. Oh and BTW there was an article (cant' find it or I'd post it) where this guy got shot 7 or 8 times with a 45 and lived. It's not caliber but shot placement that gets the job done, 2 to COM and 1 follow up to the head will assure that the threat is stopped.
  14. Yes it was, haven't seen it in a couple of years might not have been popular.
  15. Their fire sauce is ok, but stay away from their green sauce. That stuff is nasty.
  16. Thanks for the update.
  17. If it was any body else arguing like that the thread would have been locked PDQ.
  18. I'm talking qualifactions. Not birth or age or anything else.
  19. Thanks, but he still is not qualified to be president.
  20. Also buy locking gas caps.
  21. Yoiu are probally right.
  22. Removed usless information
  23. Me too. All I can say is WOW.
