  1. Mike is good people, alot of people don't know some of the stuff he does "behind ther sences" I'm going there Monday, Joe offered me a killer deal on a new S&W, can't pass that up These guy's rock also. Also CCA, good group of guys. only had 1 problem and when I brought it to JWP's attention it was taken care of quickly. Aparrently an employee didn't like JWP telling me he would hold a couple of popular guns for me and gave me grief over it. JWP took care of it since every time I've been in there since I've had no problems. Shops I'm not impressed with: Benton Shooters Supply (talk about additude)

    Jerky

I've made jerky (I have taken a break from making my own to try some others to see what I could do to make mine better) (is that better for you dirty minded folks?) for years but never "perfected" the recipe. This one has promise. Got just a slight bite to it, even my granddaughters liked it.

Wow 23 views and no one else has a good jerky receipe?

    Jerky

Anyone got a good jerky receipe? Here is mine: 1 cup soy sauce 1 tsp garlic powder 4 tbsp bron sugar 3 tbsp ketchup 1 cup worchester sauce 1 1/4 tsp salt 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp ground black pepper 1/2 cup bbq sauce 3 tbsp honey 1 1/2 tsp old bay 1 5oz bottle of uncle franks hot sauce Mix well, soak stips of meat over night in sauce (in fridge), and dehydrate using dehydrator. It has a small "bite" to it. If you want "hot" jerky then put 3 tbsp cayanne pepper in the mix.
  5. I use the 82 carry lock. I love it. I can crawl around under houses and in attics all day and my gun stays put. I have a carry lock holster for each gun I plan on ever carrying. They are tough and in 5 min you can train yourself to grab your gun and push the lever over at the same time.
  6. I got one that looks like that, except it has pockets on both sides not the mesh. That thing is my gun tool bag, those plastic cases will fit a lot of crap in them. Oh and for a range bag I use my Smith & wesson FREE range bag.
  7. You could even carry 4 guns at one time:D
  8. Basic is easier:p. Basic is shorter:p. E4 in the Air force make the same as an E4 in the army:D. Aif force has much nicer mess halls, barracks, BX's and comms too. I spent 5 1/2 years in the Air Force. I would probally still be in (actualyl I would have retired either 10 years ago or this april), if I hadn't had other problems that the AF couldn't help me with. (or wouldn't). Heck I enjoyed my time, had a blast most of the time. Even got to set fire to a dumpster once with 15 MP's and 4 officers watching. Long story:tough:. Ain't that the truth.
  9. I might be about to piss some one off here but here goes.... I agree that we need a "clean bill" let us carry anywhere and everywhere we want. Make it a FELONY to drink while carrying (I wouldn't care any more or less), and lower the BAC for drunk driving to .04 , I used to drink and I NEVER even got behind the wheel of a car with even 1 sip in me. (Watched my dad wreck too many cars drunk).
  10. Tell me about it. I keep 50 or so around and use them for all kinds of stuff. Every year after haloween my wife cleans up in the clearance sales.
  11. Yea, I bought the gerber, tossed it in my tool bag. and used the pouch for a mag holster. Wore it out, called the company and asked if I could buy a couple "since in my business, I seem to go through them" and they sent me a couple for free.
  12. M&P all the way.
  13. Ok, I'll play. I carry my S&W40C with 10 in the mag, 1 in the chamber, 1 extra mag in a gerber pouch and 1 in my pocket. Then there are the 2 12 mag holders that ride shotgun most of the time @ 10 round each. And on election day I also carried my PLR16 with 4 30 round mags in the truck as well. so added up, let's just say I was going home that day and leave it at that.
  14. Yea exactly.
  15. Well Marine, Thanks for your service. Gun shows around here are all the same, mostly high priced stuff that the sellers are hoping to find an unsuspecting buyer for. I went, you didn't miss anything. But if I had met you there I would have bought your ticket in just as a thanks for your service. God bless you.
  16. Pm me a layout of their home. I'll try and see what I can do.
  17. They might. There email addy is info@henryrepeating.com They have a lifetime warranty on them.
  18. Glad you got that fixed, dang a sparking connection causes heat which in turn can cause a fire.
  19. I tried some CCI mini mags. Thought they were good stuff. I included that info on my email to them and they did not offer that my problem could have been caused by ammo. I only use "bulk" 22 when plinking. I was testing this to go into my BOB.
  20. Well I can't say I wasn't told. I finally got around to shooting (or attempting to) my Henry Survival Rifle. I got 2 mag through it. That's 17 rounds. 2 failure to fires, 6 failure to feeds 5 failure to eject. So I cleaned it, calmly placed it in the box, and sent an email to the email addy on the paperwork. . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . Would you believe I got a email from the dang president of Henry Rifle? They are issuing a call tag for it and going to fix it. But the president, Dang.
  21. On a mopar product, this is usually the actual switch in the dash (at least it used to be when I had my older dodge van). Easy way to find out is plug the rear fan into the front switch and if it works then it's either the blower motor or a relay under the hood (yea there is a bank of fuses and relays under the hood).
  22. But, if you hit the poor soul 3 or 4 times in the head they will still be just as dead.
  23. Well here is what you get: You either get an alarm system that you paid for, and you pay a reasonable monitoring charge per year, and little or no contract. or You get an alarm system that you pay 100.00 to install, no service when something goes wrong and at least a 36 month contract where they are taking out 34.99+ out of your checking account every month. I own an alarm company and can tell you things about some of the "national" chains that will make your skin crawl, but I won't. Where is Clarksville? (never mind, looked it up) You Might try 3D alarm out of Franklin. Fella's name is Brian Dodd. He is a good person but you will have to pay for the system.
  24. Sorry for your loss. Our prayers will include you and your family as well.
