Well go with her. My wife didn't want to go alone either, so I went and "sat in" on the class since I already had my permit. It didn't cost anything for me and she finally went and got her permit. Now if I could get her to carry.

Since that one is gone, hit this one: http://wdef.com/ Left side about 1/2 way donw the page.

I've been searching the site for 20 min. Either I'm blind deaf and dumb or they have made it either harder to find or taken it down since they were NOT getting the answers they wanted.
-
I can't find it. Help.

That there are 25 states with pending legislation telling the Fed Gov to kiss off. Anyone know where to find a list?
-
I too have farm bureau, it's like this: for theft they will cover 2 guns up to 500 each. That is all. for fire they cover it all up to your "contents" coverage. All you have to do is get them to up your contents coverage to cover your guns.

Yea but thats a fed tax stamp

Oh I know it's a tough sale but am I right in my reading of this bill?
-
I am not a "legalize" person, and never got into the common law stuff in school but am I reading this correctly if passed the state of Tennessee is telling the feds to kiss off and we can have/build any item the state of Tennessee says we can have, like build our own suppressor?

Thansk to all who had good suggestions and esp. those who offered links that enabled me to search out the drivers that were not "officially available" elsewhere. Also I want to say I'm sorry to Metalhead, I took your comment wrong and should not have. It was wrong of me to strike back at you and I'm sorry. I will say that because of what you said it moved me enough to figure it out and I'm happy to report I now have a working XP machine. I have 1 small video dll error that is not effecting the way the system works.

Thanks, I'll let you know if I need your help. I had a bad network cable and once that was changed I was able to get on line, in the middle of updating windows right now, once that's done I'll know if I need your assistance. Thanks. I think (because of your other post) I may have this beat. I'll update once I'm able to install and tesgt my programs. Thanks to every who has helped and offered valuable information.

Oh hell no, you did not just go there.
-
Fine. When do you want top get together?
-
How much you charge me to get all my drivers working correctly? I'll have the HD cleared off and XP installed (since it takes like forever).

Yea tell me about it. I learned how to build computers when an old geezer got me for 275 for a 40 MB hard drive. I just don't have the time to mess with this crap any more. I have a business to run and messing with a computer that is stupporn as an old jackass is not in my list of things I want to do.
-
These programs would blow up if you tried to put them on a mac. LOL
-
I should expect a comment like that from you. It's a laptop not a desktop. Hell I was building computers when an 8088 was top of the line. I cut my "computer teeth" on an old tandy 8086. I know a thing or 3 about building computers.

Bob Corker’s Policy Points Compiled by the Legislative Team of U.S. Senator Bob Corker Bob Corker: Protecting Your Right to Bear Arms As a hunter and sportsman, Senator Bob Corker is a strong advocate for the Second Amendment. He believes the constitution provides law abiding citizens the freedom to keep and bear arms. ü Support for an Individual Right. Senator Corker supports the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision striking down the DC handgun ban and affirming that gun ownership is an individual right. ü “I am committed to safeguarding the rights of law-abiding American citizens, and in the Senate I will be a consistent voice for the second amendment and fight attempts to weaken those rights that are granted in the Constitution.†- Senator Bob Corker Support for Restoring the Second Amendment. Senator Corker was one of the original Cosponsors of S.1001, a bill to restore Second Amendment rights in the District of Columbia. At that time, the citizens of Washington DC were required to register all privately owned firearms and possession of a handgun within the Washington DC city limits was prohibited. This bill would have allowed the ownership of a firearm, including a handgun, in Washington DC. ü Prohibit funding for groups who infringe on the Second Amendment. Senator Corker voted for an amendment that would prohibit any funding to foreign organizations that infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of lawful American citizens. ü Support for Conceal and Carry Laws. Senator Corker supports allowing state conceal and carry laws that would allow people to carry concealed weapons in National Parks and Refuges if state laws allow it. ü Support for National Shooting Sports Foundation. Senator Corker supported the nomination of a National Shooting Sports Foundation representative to be appointed to the Defense Trade Advisory Group to represent the interests of small arms manufacturers. This appointment will protect the interests of small arms manufactures within this group Revised: 1/22/2009

I may try this later today, got to work. It's a compaq Parsario CQ50-110US. Thanks CQ50-110us. Thanks Compaq's website only has 3 drivers listed and it's to crap I don't even want on the computer using Vista or XP.
-
I got the same letter. I hate "canned replys"

Appreciate the offer, I really would much rather have XP running with all my stuff working but that is a real pain. To think I used to build computers, knew every in and out of Windows 3.1 and 3.11, even could do things with 95 that they said couldn't be done, but I'll be danged if this ain't got me buggered up.
-
Good idea but won't work with Vista home premimum.
-
Good suggestion, I have tried that but getting my programs to work with vista is like getting a cat and mouse to really get along, the mouse is willing but the cat (my programs) says kill. These are special alarm programs, I've tried everything. Nothing works. I am going to have to do the duel boot (if I can ever figure it out) or go buy a junk laptop at a pawn shop and maybe shoot/sell this one.
-
I have got a mess on my hands, my laptop (older compaq with XP), is about to die. Knowing this was coming I bought a new Compaq (with the curse of Vista), and most of my programs will NOT run on Vista. I did try and install XP on the machine and 1/2 the crap won't work, can't even get on line wirelessly or with lan cable. I restored it back to vista and have been trying to do a duel boot setup, but XP setup will not let me install to the "D" drive, won't even give me that option. Any computer guru's around that might know a solution before I put 165 grains of hot lead and copper through it?

I bought a Glock 22 (lucky I didn't shoot my ass off) , took it home shot 2 mags through it. Decided it was not for me and sold it that day to a friend (he hasn't shot his ass off either). No straw purchase since I bought it for myself, and then didn't want to keep it.
