  1. I thought as much. Now the other way around will not work for some strange reason. I discovered this since I was gonna use my plr mags in my Ruger Sr556, well that ain't gonna work:rolleyes:, guess I can always try and site it in without "benching it". All I know is @ 100yrds I hit the paper 6 times out of 30 rounds, of course I guess that's pretty good since with open sights all I could see was a square that was covered up by the front site:screwy:.
  2. Thanks, so apparently the 10 round factory kel tec mags must have a stops on them to keep you from using them in an AR. No problem. I'll figure out something on that. Also I have 2 extractors coming from KT. Mine is not acting up (yet) but I figure I might as well have an extractor handy just in case.
  3. I have a PLR 16 (223 pistol) that comes factory with 10 round mags, I have always used my 30 round mags in it with no problems. That said here is my problem: I just purchased a Ruger Sr556 and in order to use my "bench rest" I need to use the shortened mags in it, well they won't fit, won't go in my S&W M&P15a either. Now here is my question, Are you supposed to be able to use the regular 30 rounders in a PLR 16? The reason I ask is last week I went out shooting (finally) with my son and his PLR 16 kept jamming, failing to extract. I don't think the problem is related but wanted to ask all the Ar guru's. His problem sound slike an extractor problem not a mag problem, am I correct? Thanks in advance for the help.
  4. Love a German Queen tomato, wished I had 2 bushels of them.
  5. Why? As I said before I eat anything I want, Jerky, Apples, Taffy (now that takes some practice), Snickers bar (nuts are hell though), even almost frozen zero bars. I had bad teeth from lack of care and military experimanters (can't call em dentists). Had em all yanked in 92, 1st set of teeth I glued in for about 2 years until I reliased, I went to a different denture place and had a cheap set made, I just replaced them this spring and only because they cracked, I did catch you know what from the dentist. They were wore out. Asked me what I had been eating with them. I told him anything I wanted. 2 things to consider, if you get your first set within 6 to 9 months of having your teeth pulled (unless you went from teeth to dentures in 1 sitting (very painful from what I was told) you will need to replace or reline them within 1 year, second try affordable dentures, unless you have a "special needs mouth" they can fix you up for less than 4 bills. Oh and get a dremel tool, with sanding drums. Get some popcicle sticks or anything else to "adjust" to get the hang of the tool BEFORE you touch your dentures, and only take a very small amount at a time cause you can't put it back.
  6. Just got back from the Outback in Cleveland, as of tonight they ARE NOT POSTED. The owner of that location said he was NOT going to post. Also had a nice talk with my waiter and he wants to get his HCP also. . Watch out fella's, the outback in Cleveland may be better armed than we are.
  7. Dang I had to look twice to see who posted this, thought "wow someone knows the locations of all the liquor stores in east Tn." then it dawned on me, gotta be Mike.357. Relax folks he has a license to carry that liquor.
  8. As of last Sunday they had not, I will check again this weekend, but I will tell you I was told by the owner (the man running that location) they would NOT be posting. It may be different franchises. The group that owns the one in Cleveland also owns some more, one I think in Calhoon (I'm assuming GA).
  9. Kinda off topic but when I was taking my son to the drs. office in Chattanooga when it was winter I'd drape my coat over me and have my gun at the ready the whole time I was sitting in the parking lot. Anyone that knows Chattanooga knows the area I'm talking about.
  10. Three things come to mind, and I say this with experiance. 1. if you have to use the glue they ain't right. 2. some things will always be different. and 3. You will get used to them, it takes a while. Now me, I can eat an apple with mine, no glue, bite right into it and take off. I also eat most anything I want. I'll add this as a PS, not trying to gross anyone out but this has to be said. If you get anything under them, don't be shy, get it out. Little crap will cause the most pain I have ever seen.
  11. Name of Park: All Parks City or County: Red Bank Results of vote: Carry allowed One of the members spoke before the vote and told the others that "we don't need to tell criminals that our parks are free range for them. (more or less).
  12. Ruby Tuesday's I75 Exit 81 No sign visible. They were not open yet but there was no sign that I could find.
  13. You guys ain't right. LOL.. Anyway I owned a XD40SC, bought as M&P40c, I liked the M&P so much I sold my XD. XD was a good gun but I liked the feel of the M&P better.
  14. Glad to hear she is ok. I'll bet that 38 barrel looked like a 50 cal to the bad guy.
  15. There is why. I sent off one rebate for 40c mags and didn't get them until the next rebate program ended. They will get them to you, S&W is good folks but it could take a few.
  16. Not that it matters but it's not supposed to be "an eagle" it's a representation of our fighting resolve and spirit to get the bastards that tried to take down our great nation. Now of course this was placed into use before Obama got elected and the way he is going about "saving" our nation it might already be too late.
  17. Let's see if I can derail this thread. LOL. Smith, take a close look at your gun in the avitar. Tell me what is wrong with it. Now back to the topic on hand, This is by far the best site around these parts and if I gotta pay a little to paly alot then so be it.
  18. Have to use an online service for hosting pictures.
  19. Ruby Tuesday's, same story. No gun fights broke out. It's amazing that we didn't have blood running in the streets.
  20. I drove by there since he made a big deal about the new law and "gonna get corporate to let him post". No signs that I could see, I'll bet corporate over rode his but and told him to deal with it. I'll check on it in a few days to see if anything changes.
  21. LOL, Ate at Ruby Tuesday's today for lunch. Sat far away from the bar, the funny thing is, no one paniced, no one went yelling through the streets "man with a gun", my service did not change one bit. And to beat it all, my gun did not jump out of the holster and start threatening anyone. It seems once again the Tenesseean was wrong.
  22. Meigs county: Will not ban: Source: Daily post athenian (our local rag)
  23. I have a customer that was in the same setup, he had them run the meter to a power setup between the 2 buildings and run both off 1 meter.
  24. I knew it was coming, Pres Obama has now started censoring television. It seems that some of our older beloved programming will be destroyed, never to be seen again............ He has banned the Jeffersons from being aired, seems he dosen't like the theme song.
  25. Take the spring out of a good mag and put in the bad one before doing anything else, that way you KNOW if it's the spring or not.
