  1. What I use. Great holsters and the "evader" line is dishwasher safe:D , I own multiple carry lock holsters. If I am going to carry the gun on my hip it's going to be in a "carry lock" type holster. I do too much attic and crawl space work and don't want to chase my gun down (with a cell phone all you gotta do is call it, but your gun won't ring)
  2. And the final product:
  3. Try the old "c" rations.:puke::puke:
  4. Don't have a rubber but plate or plastic, it's all wood with a hole in the bottom (non threaded) so no worries there. You my friend are about 12 coats to late with the advice on sandpaper and sealer, I'm using Minwax wipe on poly and it's coming out fine. It does not change the colors. More pictures to come later this week.
  5. Do you lay hardwood?
  6. Thanks, After looking at it close I decided to wipe a few more coats on. Info for anyone who is thinking about doing this, word of advice, rub the poly oil in like you are waxing a car, don't worry about the fact that the first 4 of 5 coats won't really have a shine to it. If you don't rub it in the you will have flaws in it (mine does, but they are not shown in the picture), luckily mine is not "cured" (takes 24 hrs to cure) so I just rubbed out the flaws with another coat, I figure another 3 or 4 coats and then let it cure until the weekend before mounting it and it will be great looking.
  7. Before: and After:
  8. Been trying to get one of those for years, glad I didn't now. Gotthe judge instead.
  9. Unless of course you have a HCP.
  10. Phoinix amrs 22 semi auto. Dangest thing I ever saw, you had to put the safety on to remove the mag, you had to have the mag in place to rack the slide. I bought my wife one, we shot enough to know I would rather have a brick to throw and traded it off.
  11. Well thanks coop, sent you a pm.
  12. That's funny because that's what I bought. In the process of doing it now.
  13. My normal carry is in the shop so I'm carrying a Beretta 96d police special with custom grips in a bianchi OWB carrylock holster.
  14. I've been quit since July 3, 1992. Go buy some bubble gum, it will help.
  15. Casio make one, water proof up to 3 ft for 30min. Casio Cell Phone Home Page: The G'zOne Is One Tough Cell Phone
  16. Oh the programs work in XP Cmd prompt, but won't work with the usb serial adapter. Now you gotta explain the chicklet keyborad.
  17. I don't mind using an adapter for serial but one program I use minds. It won't work period. As far as Vista, I also am using it on my desktops, and 2 laptops,I do not have problems with Vista, but then again the programs I am using were designed around 95, 98, me, and XP, I am even still using some (Gulp) Dos programs:rolleyes: (these are the one's causing themost problems).
  18. Thanks
  19. It does matter to me, I won't buy pepsi products or fords for the very same reason, I'll just add dell to my personal ban list. I'll do that, is he open tomorrow?
  20. Well Dell anyway. Here is the lowdown: My wife has this "dell perferred" account. Today I contact Dell since I need a new laptop for a business application. Here is all I asked from them, "a laptop with XP and a serial port", well the "home department" can't even sell me one and transferred me to the business department. They have it, no problem, but her "perferred account" is no good on the business side. She told the :poop:heads to cancel the account. Dell has got the last of my money it ever will. On a side note, if anyone knows where to buy a laptop W/ serial (not the stupid adapter) and comes with XP on it I know someone who is looking for one.
  21. Can you believe I got that grip for 30 bucks?
  22. Well I'm turning off my Sirus radio as soon as I can get my new radio installed. I don't know about every where else but I can be riding down the interstate and the stupid thing will go out. I'm tired of it. My susb. is up in Dec I think but to me it's just not worth the headache. I even called to see If I could get a better antenna. Nope, not unless I want one of those "flying wings" on my roof. No thanks.
  23. Thank you kind sir.
  24. I lucked up on a new grip for my S&W 66 today. It's a Laminate grip. The only problem is it does not appear to have a "finish" in it. I was wondering what I could put on the wood to seal it and give it the gloss look of most of the laminates I see. Here is a picture or 2: I have test fitted them and they do fit and look great on it, but I would like to get a protective finish on them before installing them completely.
  25. Wait a cotton picking minute, i'm carrying a 96d, OWb right now. Itis no more "visable than my 40c I usually carry (but DavidTGO has it in the shop).
