  1. Oh I've got the box, all the paperwork, and the poorly made club. What makes me mad abotu the whole thing is I had a perfectly usable firearm, killed a many crow and tree rat with it, and now I'm being told it's "unsafe", that the 597 "will not handle the pressures of the 17hmr" you would think they would check this out before selling a gun. On top of that the day before I saw the recall notice I had just bought about 500 rounds of 17hmr. And then they want to offer me a 200.00"gift cert." towards my next purchase of a remington firearm. Yea right, it will be a cold day in hell before I buy anything else made by them if I can help it.
  2. Can't answer your question but wanted to offer a heart felt thank you for your service. you are much appreciated.
  3. Kind of what I was thinking.
  4. I have a REm 597, 17hmr (yea oneof those). I refuse to let rem. have it back for the price they are offering on their "recall" so I want to see if it is possible to modify it to shoot 22 mag. Any suggestions?
  5. OK, I'll buy that.
  6. Well not really. No one was being served booze, they brought it with them.I may be wrong (won't be the first tiem today) but I would think he was legal.
  7. It originally had a collapable stock and was a Beretta RX4 storm. I wanted one but they never imported them. This is their answer a :poop:ugly gun. Oh well I got plenty of things to deal with, maybe when someone comes out with t replacement stock kit I might think about it.
  8. Gives you a warm feeling don't it.
  9. In before thread lock. While I agree with most of what has been said here, I thought David had put a ban on this type of posts.

The only problem I have in W7 is my HP laptop web acm does not work any more. Come to think of it I never tried it in Vista so I'm not sure it was working then. Anyways no biggie to me I don't "webcast" no one want to see my ugly mug on their computer. I have not braved w7 on my business machine but will soon. Microsoft webtech is a wonderful thing.
  11. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I feel like an old stuffed hog. Ate too much.
  12. Good idea. I'd love to have some but no way I could get over that way anytime soon.
  13. Oh I know, just didn't want anyone getting the wrong idea.
  14. Weel you didn'tmiss the mark by much, but no it's not a member here.
  15. Yep, already burned a dvd for both autos with all the Christmas music I could find, got 185 songs on the DVD. I love this time of year.
  16. Not looking for a deal, just wanted to know if the value he wanted to trade on was within guidelines. Thanks to you I know it's not.
  17. Ok, I've read this whole thing again and I must say that I was wrong about the boycott thing, we still need to petition out reps. and get this crap fixed. And 70below, I have to disagree, if a resturant did NOT post the in fact they were supporting us. I'm going back to life before this whole fiasco. I'm going back to what I was doing before we were able to carry in a resturant. That's all I'm saying about it.
  18. I have an offer for a trade on a Colt Combat Comander. What do these usually go for? I know prices vary depending on different wants and needs but while I'm not keen on getting this I would like to know if he has it "priced" about right.
  19. 4 weeks.
  20. Not had one done yet but got 3 slides and 1 barrel un there right now. From whatI have seen they are a really nice finish.
  21. I'm in. That's the one thing I don't have is a 22 mag pistol.
  22. Well you are right, but since I have to disarm to eat I guess I'll be eating a lot more at Cracker Barrel & Ryans. I would even go as far as to say that one of the resturants I regularly visit would probally not even look at me if I was to carry in there. As a matter of fact I was told by one of the employees that that they thought I was always carrying anyway (this was before the law). I will abide by the law and I will also let the resturants that did not post know that their "brothers" are the ones costing them money not us.
  23. Well I for one will boycott. Although I don't spend much I take my grand children out to Ruby Tuesdays every Friday Total= 70.00 (tip included), and my wife and I go to outbacks on sunday for a total of about 75.00. That's 150.00 per week. You tell me we won't be missed? Oh and I will be going to Outbacks on suday for 1 last visit. Just to let them know that is will be my last and why. Now what we really need to do is get a petition started and once everyone has a chance to sign it send it to every resturant. Probally won't help but it would let them know how many people are not coming into their resturants.
  24. :poop::poop::poop: I just broke the law. I just got back from Ruby Tuesdays and carried. I was not aware of this crap. I can't beleive these dumb:poop:s.
