  1. That's actually the one I found as well.
  2. Let me restate my delima, if you crank the engine (pull crank mind you) it will not start. If I spray fuel into the throat of the carb it fires off and runs great until the fuel runs out. I can sit there all day and spray a little at a time and it runs like a champ. I just spent 200.00 (2 summers ago) to have the carb rebuilt since it would not run properly, after I got it back it ran great, parked it in the barn, went to use it 3 or 4 months later and it would not run. I don't have the timeor energy to try and keep rebuilding the carb every other month. I want something relaible that I can go out, turn the fuel on, and crank it up. I found a "kit" on line for 157.00, seems like a lot but it elimates the carb (or the web site says you can not go back to gas unless you buy another carb). This is what I want but I was trying to see if anyone else has tried this.
  3. Anyone ever do one? I have a 10 HP 5000 watt generator thatI'm tired of trying to keep running because of a bad carb. I'm looking for someone with experiance with these to either convert it for me or tell me which kit you bought and if you would do it again. Thanks.
  4. You will be lucky if it's onyl a flood. My last one quit, and started smoking. I guess my wife failed to tell it we are a non smoking household. Dishwashers are not hard to change out, about the same as a washer.
  5. Wow.
  6. I got nothing gun related, just a PS3, handful of games (well some are gun related) a deer hunting game for the WII, and got to spend time with my family. And got to sit back and consider how blessed I really am.
  7. Yep, a heck of a discount. I just hopemine comes in so I can shoot a few before it goes off sale. That way if it's any good I can get another box or 2.
  8. Guess I've always been real lucky. I mean really really lucky. Ok no more playing with stoves unless I turn the breaker off. Thanks for the heads up.
  9. Funny, I've changed a crap load of them without unplugging or turning off the breaker. If they had "110 volts running throughthem all the time" would they not be using electricty all the time?
  10. Mike, If the stove is off then it's safe to change the element without having to unplug it. Just a suggestion, if you want to make sure there is no power on the stove just turn off the breaker (it's lighter then the stove:D). I used to build stoves and there is always enough wire to pull it through the front to change the element (but just barely). Now I'm off to hunt down an element for mine today.
  11. But that's steel cased. What I posted was brass.
  12. Funny thing you should mention the oven problem, while my boss was cooking she hollered at me, aparently my bottm element is going out, got about a 2 inch place that is twice as bright as the rest of it. Dan it it's only 10 years old too.
  13. it's getting some good reviews on slickdeals.net I just bought some. The price is only good for a short time (I think until 12/31). Oh and my title was supposed to read "Hot deal on 223 ammo" not how deal:screwy:
  14. Folks check this price out Home Page Once you put in your basket it drops the price down to 275.00 for 1000.00 rounds.
  15. REal good idea, just make sure I can import it into a tom tom.
  16. I might be wrong, wouldn't have been the first time today, yesterday or tomorrow. However even if they replace it with a 22 mag bolt gun, I would be better off.
  17. This is incorrect. They have to have your physical address but mailing address can be a p. o. box. That's just like your drivers license, you won't find one with address as p. o. box XXXX, it will have the actuall address on it, but your mailing address can be a p. o. box. Been doing mine that way since 1994.
  18. they have been making 22 mag semi autos for years. The pressures are different in a 22 mag than in a 17hmr.
  19. thank you. I did call, got an answering machine that said they were too busy to take my call, to go to their site and email them:rolleyes:. This was the info I had also. stay tuned. Well as stated before, taking no phone calls, just emails, so I emailed them, it was late so I did not expect a reply back until this morning (actually didn't expect a reply back at all but I'm skeptical), I was all ready for the " not repairable, send it to Remington for your "coupon" excuse. But NO. What I got back was a total shock and actually restored my faith in Remington as a company. Here is what Frank wrote: Word for word. So I sit here with egg on my face, I humbly apoligize to Alpha 7, for what he said was the truth, "he will take care of you". I will update again once I receive my new gun. Thanks again Alpha 7
  20. So if I keep this thing cleaned good thenI should be able to shoot it?
  21. That's great, my mom is so scared of guns, seems one of her ex's held a gun to her head a bunch of times and threatened to kill her. She doen't say anything to me about my carrying but she does not want to see it. Or know for sure I have it.
  22. No one ever told me. Just that they are recalled.
  23. you misunderstood, I know he is a authorized warranty gunsmith. I was doubting him touching a gun that has been factory recalled. Call him if you think I'm nuts but short of finding someone to rebarrel this into 22mag I'll just hang it up as a loss and never buy another remington firearm ever.
