Total NICS Gun Buyer Background Checks 2009 AmmoLand Gun News Washington, DC --(AmmoLand.com)- Data released by the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) for the year reported 14,033,824 NICS Checks for the year of 2009, a 10 percent increase in gun purchases from the 12,709,023 reported in 2008. So far that is roughly 14,000,000+ guns bought last year! The total is probably more as many NICS background checks cover the purchase of more than one gun at a time by individuals. 11. Yea I went by there (ham place) and saw the building gone, and the store next door and thought that someone was pulling our leg since that business didn't look like it was moving and there was nothing next door to it so it had to be in the old circuit city building. Thats what I get for not going to Chattanooga often.
  12. Saw that and fixed my quote so it's not there either.
  13. Congrats. Now just a word of advice. Never lie to each other, never hide anything (except maybe presents for one another), and never ever ever goto be angry with each other.
  14. OK. I received it last night, have nothad a chance to shoot any yet butit does appear to be qualitystuff. I have bought some ammo that the tips were not smooth(like a tit hanging off). These are smooth, clean and good looking. And best of all it appears to still be on sale.
  15. Stop eating spicy food before bed.
  16. Hey what are you doing with my Taurus 38?
  17. That's Reverend Caveman to you.

    M&P .45

Hope you got the cosmo out of it. It happens to be the way the striker hits the frame without a shell being present, and yes it happens. I don't dry fire anything but that is MY preference. Don't call me stupid for buying snap caps, the is also my preference. If you have dry fired your glock over 1000 times with out breaking anything, great, more power to you but stop with the "holier than thou" attidude with the rest of us. No reason to "talk down" to someone just because you disagree with them. What about the fella who bought a M&P, sat in his living room and dry fired it around 300 times and broke the striker? He never shot it the first time so it was not "worn out". Fact of the matter is the striker in the M&P hits hard and they have been known to break from "excessive" dry firing. that said now back on topic. Get the M&P 45C, best of both worlds. and if you are worried about lack of rounds, get a couple of 45 mags (yes they will stick out some) and throw them in the car for backup.
  19. I have a 14.45 LDA, Stainless. It's for sale;)
  20. Where exactly was this? I'm not sure where "royal blue" is.
  21. Yep sounds like a clogged septic tank. If it is a tank and it's bubbling up from one point to another then get someoen to pump that tank quick. In the mean time open the top of the tank, use a shovel and poke around and see if you can find the pipe coming from the house, if so use the shovel to "chop" up some of the stuff close to the pipe, it will give you 3 or 4 days of use before backing up again. Been there done that. once it gets that far nothing will fix it except pumping. Once you get it pumped get a gallon of buttermilk and dump down your drain, and then do it once a month.
  22. No offense taken. No one is allowed to hook it up but me and I know to throw the main before plugging in my unit. Thanks for the warning though.
  23. I appreciate the offer, tomorrow isn't going to be good for me but I will be in touch. Maybe converting to lp is not the best option, and no I don't take it out and run it like I should, from day 1 it's been a sore spot with me. I bought it used it 2 times (once to prewire a house, and then to work on mine before I got power turned on). After that it sat in the building for about 6 mo. went to use it and it was bone dry (I know you are not supposed to leave fuel in them) dang thing had a busted tank, bad blo molding fromthe factory. When I said I spent 2 bills getting it fixed I may not have been as accurate as I could have been. Some one (not saying who) left it out of the building with a piece of wood covering it. Well that didn't work real well and had to have the tank, lines, and everything else flushed. and the carb either rebuilt or replaced, can't remember which, I know it ran great when I first got it back (for the 1 time I used it). I bought it for emergency power for the house, got a plug to plug it in to the house if we loose power for too long of period so no I don't run it like I should. And yes the gas you buy today is crappy, but what you gonna do? if you keep just a small amount on hand then if the "blizzard of 93" repeats it's self then you get 2 or 3 hrs of run time and then cold dark city:rolleyes:. If you keep 10 or 20 gals on hand for emergencys then it goes bad in a short while. Can't win for loosing. That's why I thought lp, I keep 3 or 4 of the 20lb tanks handy and they don't go bad. If I loose a little then I'm still gaining since I can get it started when I need to.
