  4. I like that. . .looks like you get co witness out of that little set up. .
  5. I purchased this from a fellow TGO'er a while back. . .Great shooting gun in fact it is the most accurate 9mm I have ever shot (except for possibly the CZ 75 BD Police I had briefly, it was a tack driver but just too big to carry). Its had the Cajun gun works trigger job. . wears a set of Meprolights and as of today a set of Zebra Wood grips I acquired from Marchall grips. . . 6. Thanks for  the replys to my question. . .and the general jist that I got is where my thoughts and heart was at on the subject as well. . Makes me better cause I didnt take lightly making even a little money selling some of that old ammo. .  .even if I didnt take it off the current shelves and why I would not sell for more tht the best bprice I could find.  .but heck Ive got a family I cant give it away either. . although I did give away some .22 that I had laying around to a guy my wife works with . . its been years since Ive had a .22. .   I didnt see that post with Benton B actually defending buying at current retail and jacking up the price. . . I would just prefer him to say Im sorry you feel that way but Im gonna get mine rather than try to convince everyone that something that is wrong is right. .   I agree with David it is no different than  somebody buying all the generators and other needed gear out during the Nashville flood and selling for double or triple on Craigslist.  .same concept just different subject matter.   God forbid their ever be a crises involving baby formula. . somebody just might get killed. . .
  7. What a mess. . .I aint trying to hijack this thread but I would really appreciate some opinions on whether or not it is gouging or taking away from the shooting community. . just because the virtual community that is TGO is important to me and and I dont want to be someone to harm people that I do care about,   I have sold some ammo on this sight. .but I have never bought anything anywhere for the purpose of selling here. . Examples i sold Poordog some 7.62x39 at the best price SGammo listed (they were out at the time but it was the cheapest price I could find at the time). .I did not pay that much for this ammo a year and half earlier and told him that at the time . . I sold some winchester white box 9mm at best market price I could find that I had bought when it was cheaper along time ago but only to replace it with the winchester 124 grain nato fmj which I kept because I have a very mild tendency to occasionally limp wrist with lower pressure loads ( it is rare but sometimes happens to me) but never with hotter ammo. . I sold 6.8 AR a bunch high power buckshot that I had gotten when it was cheaper only for the purpose of getting the low recoil that was the same price that I sold the high power in the same brand from AIM . . .When SGammo finally starting getting the golden tiger in I sold a case of Wolf for the same that it cost to get the GT just because I like it better. . is that hurting the community? Is that gouging?   I personally dont think that it is it. . but I know everyones moral compass is not exactly alike. . are sales like that harmful like trolling gunbot, walmart or whatever just to buy something to jack up the price and resell it above current retail for profit here or on Armslist. . but I must admit I did sell ammo for more than I paid for it . . so to the community am I percieved to be "beyond unscrupulous" by the community that I care about?   Edit for other than grammar. . I guess I wanted to make my community understand that anything I sold was NOT removed from the shelf during hard times for the purpose of making money at the gun communities expense.  .especially when seeing this thread take the turns it has over someone (whether profiteer or not) was just telling this communtity where they could get some .22 and Im certainly not defending Benton B. . aka nunya because I too dislike the idea of taking stuff off the shelf just sell to someone who wants to consume it at higher price. .  as there are obviously good folks on this sight who are passionate about this subject I only wanted to clarify my actions and calibrate my moral compass with my community. ..   Thanks
  8. My first handgun was actually a pair of  Ruger P95 DC's that I got on a trade. . . I had bought an old 1974 Ford pick up for $500.00 bucks.  .put a radiator in it used to remodel my house to keep from scratching up my 1996 Ford F150 (and the 74 had a long bed which made lumber and OSB and the like easier to haul). . when the remodel was finished I traded the truck for the 2 P 95's and $750.00. . I kept one and still have it. . it currently wears a set of meprolights and serves as my wifes night stand gun. . .The other I gave to my best friend who I had purchased the truck from originally and was the contractor for my remodel. .  .he still has his. . .good times
  9. I like Rio shot shells. . .been real happy with them never had a problem at about 1/2 the cost
  10. Welcome from the greater inner city metropolous of Lenoir City. . .
  11. When my daughter was a baby she was called "the Turkey" or "Turkey-Boo" or "Turkeylicious" . . hense I am turkeydad.
  12. +1for CDNN and +1 for AIM TopGun has been good too
  13. I have personally seeen an employee buy amo at the walmart here in Lenoir City at 3:00 am. . .granted that was about 9 months ago
  14. I could see how it could certainly help contain climb. . if you notice the ange of the front edge of the dong. . it seems to me wrapping your biscuit grabber around that dong and pulling it toward you would also pull down slightly on the front of the rifle resisting climb . .
  15. I think it looks good leave that dong if you like it. . . aesthetically speaking the lack of a cleaning rod is the only negative I see at all. . .good looking rifle
  16. I sure hope the .22 scene settles down by Christmas. . .want to get my 11 year old daughter a 10/22 and hopefully not have t ogo on a quest for ammo. . .
  17. And another point. . you walk into someones business open carrying. . and if he has other patrons complain. . congratulations you just forced that business owners hands into posting. . not because he or she wants to. . .or even agrees with the concept. .  but because of the need to protect his or her business. Remember folks those who would not do business this a location because it is posted are far out numbered by those who would not go in becasue they were concerned about someone in there open carrying their "hog-leg" trying to get their mall ninja on. .
  18. I was thinking the same thing I'm sorry I dont mean to offend anyone. . but everytime I hear about or see someone open carrying I think. . "great another wannabee kwik". . All it does has ever done is upset the sheeple and get more gunbuster signs posted and provoke the libs to pass more restrictive laws on behalf of the sheeple. . .   As I have said before you may be within your rights to stand in front a kindergarten with a bag of candy. . a tube of ky jelly and a copy of the Kamasutra. . just because its your right doesnt mean its the right or smart thing to do. . .   This whole notion of "raising awareness" by open carrying is assinine. . and in my opinion is practiced by those who are "compensating" for some other inadequacy or just doing an adult version of "Stewart" from Mad TV. . going around saying "Ive got a gun.  ..look what I can do". . .
  19. I would love a Benelli M4. . but alas I cant aford it.  . but if I could I would not bat an eye at the purchase. . although I can attest that I do love the ghost ring sights on my 590 A1 with meprolight tritium front post. . .I do with however wish there was an option for a tritium dotted rear ring. . .   My 590 A1 was the compromise shotgun I bought since the M4 was out of my budget . . I would go ahead and get a high end pump before buying a semi-auto less reliable than the Benelli is with any ammunition
  20. It will certainly get more attention there.  .. welcome to TGO and good luck with your sale Im sure its a nice rifle
  21. Thats pretty cool. . .I think Ill wait for the tactical model in semi auto and propretary 30 round mags. . .I would call it the "herniator"
  22. Screenplay of Voldemort in jail. . .Prisoner number 1: "Whats your name fish?". . .Voldemort: "I dont have to give you my name". . .Prisoner number 2: "Lets get you them little panties off". . . Voldemort: "Am I being detained?" . . Prisoner number 1 and 2 "go to work" on Voldemort. . ."Voldemort I do not consent to this prison plowing". . . yet plowing continues. . .rinse and repeat. . .
  23. If its just a 25 yard indoor range to plink at for a few cant beat Farnsworth in Vonore. . .yes the range is dirty buts it functional and only five bucks and you can shoot anything you want up to 30 06. . if Im not mistaken I think I even saw a shotgun being carried into the range there but I might have been mistaken
  24. Ok. . .after watching that video I have concluded that this guy is a complete idiot. . he is obviously using every inch of the few firearm and protection from search and seizure freedoms we have left to entrap law enforcement into violating rights that he is exercising way out of context for the "spirit" in which they were written.   I understand the need to reaffirm the 2nd amendment but this isnt it. God forbid that there any more kwiks come out of the woodwork and start fighting for my 2nd amendment and freedom from illegal seach and seizure rights; if just gives the libs more ammunition to pass more laws to further confine these rights to protect public interest from idiots like this from inciting the sheeple to be fearful and causing law enforcement to waste time and money screwing around with this moron.   I wonder how many calls to that areas 911 were received while he was doing this.  .I wonder how many alarm calls were put on hold because the lines were full of people calling in for this idiot. . Id hate to think grandma whoever who just pressed her life alert button because she was having a stroke had to wait because the ensuing call from the alarm company to an agency having jurasdiction in this area for a paramedic had to hold for 5 minutes and possibly see the grand ole gal end up with irreversible nerve damage that could have been prevented if the call went through immediately. . .as an emergency dispatch operator I can tell you this happens. . these resources are not unlimited and wasting them can cause someone else real harm. .   Kudos to the officer in the video I think he did a pretty good job being civil to this jerk. .to me the wanton waste of emergency response resources is a form of reckless endangerment and should be charged as such.   By the letter of the law a person might be within their rights to stand in front of a kindergaten with a bag of candy, a tube of ky jelly and a copy of the kamasutra. .  .but who would not want a cop to poke his nose into that situation too. . .
  25.     It definetely is a made for export gun. . that Poly USA is a dead give away.  .  certainly made for Da Keng. Keng was always able to get the cleanest rifles. . .
