Well ive owned 2 an egyptian maadi arm that i was very satisfied with....then i got a preban polytech aks 762 galil sidefolder....the trigger on the chicom (double hook) is much smoother and as crisp as a pringles potsto chip...the internals on the poly are much heavier and the barrel and trunion is much heavier and i did find it to be more accurate especially when very hot...and certainly fit and finsh cleaner on the chicom...the thicker 1.6 mm receiver on the poly i think adds to better accuracy as well

Yes I have. . its almost comical. .you're certainly right about the Israelis. .course they are known for that. .I bet they could make a sling work. .oh thats right they already did. .

I love how the French MAS and the Chauchat were referenced so quickly. .only the military savants that brought the world The Maginot Line could produce such effective hardware. . "Oui Oui Pierre. .those pesky Germans will never try to take our truffles again! Oh, merci Jean-Claude. . Im sure they will never figure out you can just drive around this thing. . now give me a big kiss. . "

I feel I think its safe to say the cat is out of the bag. . . they are a great bunch to deal with. . fair prices for product and shipping. . no bee-bop no bull-. . there site is user friendly. . and you dont have to send them a copy of your drivers license and a DNA sample or a picture of your mom to buy ammo from them. . good times. . good times

I told ya. . I havent bought any ammo from anybody else since I discovered them. . .(except my surplus yugo m67 from AIM. . but thats just because they dont have it). . .

Ive never had one of these. . but Ive held and shot a few that various friends have had through the years ( I seem to be a magnet for pistol caliber carbine comparison since Ive owned a Ruger PC 9 since the late 90's). . these little hi points remind me of the ugly girl that you may or may not have kissed on the playground in the 7th grade. .she aint no prom queen. . she may not be the one you want to marry. .but it was still fun and she aint a bad ole gal. . you just dont want to let your friends catch you doin' it. .

Unfortunately there has never been a "drop in' replacement aftermarket stock of any kind made for the PC's. Since the trigger group housing is actually part of the factory stock there never will be. . However I have seen 2 PC 9s with choate sidefolder stocks grafted onto a factory stock PC 9 that was cut right behind the trigger group housing. Both examples I saw looked pretty good but I would never do that to mine. I saw one on the internet. . the other may still be at Farnsworth Firearms in Vonore TN. . I noticed it down there a couple of months ago when I was there. .I actually picked it up. . it made it feel a little front end heavy Just like you I thought a folding stock would be a great addition . . but eventually I became satisfied with the knowledge that I could use the factory stock to beat a door open. .bust a car window out. . or even beat a rabid gorilla to death should any situation of these or similar ilk ever crop up. . and never worry about it leaving a mark. . much less causing function failure.

Where To Find Winchester Ranger T-Series?
turkeydad replied to wcsc12's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Im gonna have to disagree. . sgammo.com has them beat. . .and their shipping is very fast and reasonable. . I bought a 1000 rounds of 9bple and the shipping was $16.00. . shipping on a case of 9mm at Ammunition to go was $19.64 50rd - 9mm Winchester Ranger 127gr +P+ T-Series RA9TA | SGAmmo.com -
Well you know how "value" is so subjective. . but considering wasr 10's can be had new for $425.00. . and the general consensus that in most circles that I run in SAR-1's are maybe $75.00 to $100.00 more. . .maybe less maybe more. Then take off maybe 20% for gently used (assuming thats the case) Id say a nice fair number would be in the $400.00 range. Some people might pay more but considering I have seen Mak 90's sell on this forum not too long ago for $500 to $600 I wouldnt want to have anymore in it myself. . .

I am an AK guy. . Ive owned 2 Maadi's one Norinco Mak 90 and my current AK is a preban Polytech sidefolder. . but Im not a Romanian efficianado for sure. . but my understanding that the Wasr 10 and Sar-1 are pretty much the same except that a Wasr 10 was originally manufactured to accept low capacity 10 round mags and later the magwell was opened up to accept hi-caps often having excessive wobble etc..to me they are both just garden variety low end AK's..all will work but fit and finish may be poor and I would certainly check for canted sight block and poorly fitted trunion on both. . Neither is going to have a heavy barrel. . heavy internals. . spring loaded firing pin. . thicker (1.6mm) receiver or the fit, finish and accuracy of a Polytech. .but in my opinion a well fitted sar-1 (or even Wasr10 once again if well fitted) wouldnt perform much different than a garden variety saiga. .maadi (not misr 10 or misr 90. .these are the worst) or any other 1mm thick stamped AK of average quality. . as far as telling them apart. .the Sar 1 would have a "depression" in the front of the magwell that aids in mag insertion that the Wasr would not have. Im sure there are production or import stampings that differ between the two but I dont know the specifics. .

I bought a Sig Sauer STS-081 from a member of the forum. .sight looked brand new (pix of sight on my Ruger PC9 Below) but it didnt come with the honeycomb filter and I was concerned as could be issue in very bright light. Couldnt find one to buy anywhere on the web. I called Sig Sauer customer service to see if I could buy one from them or if they knew where one could be purchased. The veryfriendly lady that answered said she had those and she would be happy to mail me one free of charge. . . What a refreshing change of pace! I never had any business with Sig before this but I can tell you one thing Ill sure consider that call if/when I decide to get an AR...

Where To Find Winchester Ranger T-Series?
turkeydad replied to wcsc12's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
IM pretty sure I saw T series in 124 Grain +p 9mm for $24.95 at sgammo...the regular pressure 147grain T series was cheaper. . and both are cheaper in bulk -
Everybody needs a 10/22. .But I dearly love my Ruger PC 9. . they are a little heavy but bullet proof. They are getting a little hard to find. Goes great with my P95 DC... interchangable magsand all.

+1 on the yugo m67. .dont worry bout that "corrosive" label. .Robert Farnsworth over there in Vonore was telling me that he's seen the test that determines whether or not it gets the corrosive label . . . it barely does. . only the slightest differential from neutral ambient conditions could be discerned. . but not in all test examples. . .so they give it the corrosive label. . .he said that was all he's ever shot in his personal AK's and he confessed that he seldom cleans them. He said the red stuff around the primer gunking up around the firing pin if you dont keep it relatively clean can build up with long periods of sustained fire. . he siad and that didnt hurt function he could just see it. . I keep mine clean. . but I dont poor ammonia down it at the range then run in the door and clean it. . . I dont worry if I shoot it Fri. . then Sat. . then Sun. give it a little Hoppes #9 and very very very very lightly oil. . good to go. My Poly's barrel and internals are pristine. . .and Ive been shootin the crap out of mine. .

Those are Federal Hi-Shok's. . in standard pressure. . 147 grain JHP. . Federal's production code 9MS. .pretty much the same thing as a 9BPLE except a heavier bullet and standard pressure instead of +p+. . .

Farnsworth Firearms in Vonore is by far my favorite here in East TN...Robert is great to trade with and knows his stuff. .and hes got a lot of used guns in inventory that he doesn't over price and he has always gave me a fair price for anything Ive traded. The place is disorganized and a little dusty. . and his dad and the other old guy that work in there are a little cranky. .but I only deal with Robert anyway. They have a range and only charge $5.00 to use it but its pretty rough. .but at least you can shoot rifle calibers there...
