  1. Free bump for being the most solid feeling rifle I've ever held. Wish I had some extra cash to pick this up too.
  2. Dear Santa, please bring me this rifle.
  3. I had never heard of that option. I will have to look into that.
  4. My brother and sister-in-law actually have one of these that are outside their home in the ground. Not necessarily a bad option, I just see using it more if it is inside my garage. Sure it could be a pain in the butt getting out of there if the house was to collapse on top of it but so would getting blown away and ending up in someone else's tree line.
  5. That would be a bad day for sure
  6. I think I'm going to go with the style that is more underground for the space saving aspect. Looks pretty simple as far as they cut a hole in your concrete, dig out a hole underground and then drop a steel box with stairs and a sliding lid. There's a few different folks that make them and they look something like this.
  7. Hi there! I too once moved from Indiana to TN. Welcome!
  8. We've been kicking around for years the idea of getting one of those storm shelters that are put in your garage floor slab. I think we are going to move forward on this as I don't see us moving anytime soon. Does anyone have one? How do you like it? Any advice or local installer recommendations? Thanks in advance.
  9. I've tinkered with a few 10/22s, not sure if they would qualify as "Sooper dooper". Most recently I picked up a 20inch barrel and single stage trigger group from Kidd innovative design and really like it. In my experience and research, the products from Tony Kidd seem to be a direct route to both outstanding performance and your bank account. https://www.coolguyguns.com/ You can spend a lot of coin in this quest and quickly your $200 10/22 has several hundred dollars of "upgrades". There are also tons of threads about the subject at rimfirecentral.com https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=13 Good luck!
  10. I have done several transfers at The Saddle Shop in Triune, even did one today. $30 and they have always been very quick with the process.
  11. I work in radiation oncology as a medical dosimetrist. I create treatment plans for people who need radiation therapy treatments.
  12. Just over the county line I believe https://www.fflscope.com/ffl/162119074g10323/spring-hill-gunsmithing-llc
  13. Sometimes I think about how I would try to explain something like this to someone who lived 200 years ago. Eventually my brain starts to bleed.
  14. I've logged in to more than one zoom meeting the last year as Turd Ferguson to see what happens. It's best when someone actually says "oh it looks like we have Turd Ferguson with us today. Turd, I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting you yet".
  15. Classic
  16. I have used these guys 3 different times. Great experience all 3 times. https://www.baronhoffsmoving.com/
  17. I'm wanting to see if anyone has a recommendation for a trustworthy HVAC repair service in the Spring Hill area. Thanks
  18. That is very similar to one I picked up recently. I stuck a hogue pistol grip on and put in an op sol mini clip so I can load it up with the 1.75 inch mini buckshot shells. So far so good.
  19. Stopped in a Bass pro in Prattville Alabama today on way home from Florida. They had quite a big pile of federal 124grain 9mm. $19.99 for a box of 50, limit 5 boxes. Not a bargain by any means, but I was encouraged to actually see so much there available. They also had quite a bit of 5.56 and .223 available too.

  20. Jeb48, yes it is called the opsol mini clip. Works great. https://www.opsolmini-clip.com/product/opsol-mini-clip-2-0-flex/
  21. I will definitely have to test the mini shells out on this particular shotgun for feeding reliability. I have used them in the past i conjunction with the opsol mini clip with other Mossberg 500 series with no issues s. I know they will not work and my 870 for sure.
  22. I'm gonna load it up with some 1.75inch mini shells, so hopefully won't be too bad on the wrist
  23. Well I ended up picking up a Maverick 88. Haven't got to shoot it yet but seems like it will be okay once worked in a little. This will be a new anti SOB nightstick for our home. Hopefully it never has to be used as such.
  24. I've been eyeing the 20 inch 12 gauge model. Seems like they go for between $200 and $300. If you have Maverick 88, do you regret not spending more coin on the 500 or 590 for any particular reason?
