  1. The Underwood mag you are talking about that looks like new (marked U on back) sounds like the aftermarket ones I described in above post. They have been bad luck for most carbine owners. Try A real USGI mag with a good spring in mag.
  2. May be weak op rod spring, but almost always mag. A lot of aftermarket U marked reproduction mags floating around and Carb works best with USGI Mag. Is anyone near you that you could try them off their gun?
  3. Have it with You ,call South Store and ask for armorer they will walk you through it over phone.
  4. 06 Surplus Ammo, that is it there is none anywhere else. You are allowed ten cases a year and they will sign you up for required membership about thirty five bucks. get all you can because turn around time on mail order is 2-6 months. Cmp has a book there they will let you use to check your serial# and it will tell you what parts gun came with as they all have lot numbers on them. Bring a high limit credit card because of all the stuff in store you will want.

  6. Yes,but it could have been a whole lot worse. About 12 yrs old we snuck .22 rifle out of house and about five miles down railroad tracks buddy spots a shed door on hill with master lock still locked on hinge and before I could say don't he puts bbl next to lock and fires. It works for The Duke but for me slug broke in three in came back and hit me in chest. Felt like a baseball bat, looked down and white T Shirt was already soaked in blood, sure I was a goner an hour walk from anywhere. Got back to the house and felt fine, ditched the shirt and never said a word because the old man would have been another story. Very careful who I hunted or target shot with after that.
  7. Welcome-With that gun you will never have a need for any other.
  8. Goodman gives out one ticket each day to get in,RK uses ink.
  9. Buddy has a private range with plates, had never shot them before what a ton of fun. The Owl Hollow Group has looked for a range for two years with no luck.
  10. Goodman Show -Nashville Fairgrounds started this at his last show all sales in show must go through background, some of the private sellers packed up tables and left. People walkng floor were also told this is new policy for them also. Do not know if it was enforced.

  13. Open choke #8 or #9 shot. Trick is pick out only one and stay on it untill you shoot then you might get another fast shot in at a couple birds or covey. Watch wher some of them land and you can kick them up again if you let them settle in a few minutes.
  14. Oscars is the place, worth the drive. I think he called it Taco Express when it was a couple blocks down the street.
  15. John @Game Fair -West Nashville-353-0602 He does this for insurance companies and individuals
  16. As above post-buy a new one and if you do not like it you can get all or most of your money back. Nice used ones bring almost new price as demand is high for the 19&23 models.
  17. Parking is main concern at both places. Hall Of Fame, stay parked at downtown hotel if that is where you are staying. It is near 2nd&Broadway where most things are at. Cha Cha on Belmont Univ Campus,LA type place highpriced little food in middle of plate joint. Skip it and stay downtown, lots more fun..

  21. 1917 Era Colt 1911 GI If original(see frame pitting) 80 percent? Approx $1800.00 Plated 400-600 You could take to plater and have nickel reversed and you will have no finish, can then have blued cost 200 -300 and will not increase value much. Just a shooter with history.
  22. Great choice, may be the only gun still made by 2015 as no need for any others. Most important with a Glock get the best quality holster you can find.
