Not a Glock is right. There must be a reason the 35,000 member NYPD banned Kahr as an off duty gun for officer use. I want something that is going to work and not break parts/malfunction when you need it.

If i do not like it I will dump it quick.I have the 42 and think it is the best carry gun ever made,at least for me .Same cartridge, just a little less power. I had it at Owl Hollow and the owner (Charlie) wanted to try it . I put up a target for him at fifteen yards and he shot six rounds at it and I did not want to tell him he missed the whole target, until we walked up to grab it and he had put all six through the the small black center about the size of a dime. The gun will shoot through the same hole, only wish I could.

Picked up the cheap 9mm&.40 Perfecta ammo From WM after reading the thread on here how good it is. Now have plenty when I pick up my G-43 in a couple weeks and put .40 away until the G-44 comes out next year.

Has anybody ever rented a table at a gun show?
Will replied to bigez's topic in Events and Gatherings
Normally do it in Fall when shows pick up again. Rent one table and cut your cost and a few buddies usually send some stuff with me and toss in a twenty for table rent. Mark everything up 10 percent as everybody will want a "deal". If you sell or buy a gun make damm sure they have a Valid TN DL and are 18 or 21 same with ammo sales even though it is private sale, and you will also have a couple people ask if it is private because they are not able to to pass a background or are out of state. These are the Felons the ATF send in to show and they will be waiting at your house with a warrant and remove all your guns and cash. I have seen this happen to people I have been set up next to over the years. Follow all laws. Bring a couple hundred cash in ones and fives as a lot of people will hand you a hundred, also put out a large sign saying prices are so low because cash sales only. This will prevent everybody handing you a credit card. Just the basics, have fun. -
Once again ,none in area then three in same weekend. Sparta always great small town show. Goodman@ fairgrounds large crappy show, but Outdoor Expo will fill the parking lot and bring in a lot of people that otherwise would not go. RK @Lebanon,small show but he does advertise heavy. Looks like Goodman and RK are having a P"""""G Match like Pope and Rk used to do running shows same weekend. If only area could get a couple large shows a year(good promoter, large clean building with plenty of parking, good lighting, climate controlled, within 30 miles of Nashville)

A couple of ER Doctors on one of the sixty minutes type shows claimed they turned an otherwise non lethal wound into a lethal wound because the sharp edges would throw off a lot of debris making the wound untreatable in addition to things posted above. Most LE Agency's had quit using them already because of their poor stopping power compared to other loads.
-
Because it is only 10 minutes away and a good place to buy small gun parts (mags, holsters, ammo) at a good price from the private vendors, otherwise it is not much of a gunshow.
-
At Lebanon Gun Show Today $150.00 for 150 rd box And people buying it. At Gander Mountain-Mt Juliet 10 min away same ammo everyday price $89.00 stacked three foot high and nobody buying.

They did have some problems, but have straightened them out. They added two full shifts to catch up on a few hundred thousand backlog thanks to Obama and they had some quality control issues. The new plant in NC is also up and running.

States Recognizing TN Permits (Reciprocity) With Links
Will replied to JohnC's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
IL would be a nice state if you did not have to drive through Chicago Or Springfield to get to it. A lot of hunters and shooters and most of the state has the best deer, upland and waterfowl hunting in the states. It is a shame a handful of libs turned the state the way it is and a shame all the good people let it happen. At least it is starting to go in a better direction. Maybe we can get a nationwide carry and not have to check each state when we travel. -

I drive to MO&IN quite often and was glad to see IL new carry law,I do not stop there and spend any money until full carry is in effect as they are under a lawsuit to allow it. The rest of the states are fly in for me so it don't matter. -

IL. will allow a TN HCP Holder to carry handgun loaded in vehicle. If You get out for gas or whatever it has to remain locked in vehicle. -
Always try to make it,but did not know if Great America would have the same large crowd as RK always brought in.

I took an advanced firearms training class in Mid TN last year and the instructor who is quite tall and large and ex LEO- Swat ,early sixties said "I am a fat old man with back problems and if somebody plans on hurting me with or without a gun,I am shooting them." I left out some language to clean it up. So there is one trainers opinion. If you want to pm me I can tell you who it is.

I see .25&.32 at our local Nashville WalMarts quite often at a good price. Was seeing 100 pack of .380 all the time but that is hard to find again. I also found that some of the WM'S have .22 in stock and keep it under counter and all you have to do is ask.
-
Its all about marketing, let everybody else put one out first then put out a superior product , Then .380 first than a 9mm because you would not sell many .380 s if 9mm was put out first. Now that they have tripled the plant size in GA and can now make smaller guns there probably be a lot of new models coming out. I would guess .22 cal will be Shot Show Of 2016 I am like most shooters when I seen a Miami Police Officer with one about 1987 I said I will never own one and the first one I shot I hated and could not hit a thing with it,but with a little practice found I shot better than any other brand. I now see why they have near 70 percent of US Law Enforcement Market.
-
Not when there made in Smyrna GA ,no import issues anymore. I get down to factory and work with them at times, but it is like insider trading in the stock market, all just my .2 cents worth with no change and my opinion only. Have to wait and see.
-
I think it will be like the 42 it will be shown at the Shot Show. It will be just a little bigger overall and will be 9&.40 with .22 lr&mag to follow. My Guess.

Talking to a few folks that live near that exit and they said getting in at 9 AM would not be much of a problem but leaving the show will be brutal unless they have a traffic cop at exit to get back onto main road from Expo Center. The State just said they halted construction on and off because of cold weather and are now hoping to have bridge open by Thanksgiving Day. I sat at a table for a few hours last Franklin Show and we seen about fifteen people come in,it was bad because it was a good show at one time. It looks like the large shows are over in the Nashville area unless a promoter can start one at a nice central location that has lighting,heat/air,&parking.

One of the reasons there are so many .40 M&P'S on the market is Atlanta dumped two thousand+ after two months because they could not keep them functioning ,and went with Glock 22 Pistol. This is after Atlanta using S&W for about sixty years. Combine this with other Police&Security getting rid of them at a fast rate now market flooded with them. (G&T Dist.@ $319) wow Plenty of G-22 Gen Three on market because they make PD'S an offer they can not refuse to upgrade to Gen 4 Pistols and quite a few departments going back to nine or forty five. I used to prefer S&W in the 6906/4006 era stainless and function.

Next question, will we now have to pay sales tax on items ordered through Buds/KY Store as they have a TN location? May have to contact KY store for this.
-
Got one and really like it much better than LCP,was at factory couple weeks ago and had them look over for any updates and they replaced the mags. The new mags have a # 1 printed into mag on rounds window. Single Stack 9 will be brought out at Shot Show just like 42 was a little larger overall.

Is this part of Bud's Guns out KY?

What kind of belt do you wear with your holster?
Will replied to jeff43's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
After many years of holsters and belts I had an instructor tell me the secret and it is mentioned in above post Kydex Insert Any leather gun belt would sag then try another holster. About a year ago I got a Aker Kydex lined leather and now carry a Glock 22 & extra mag under a T-shirt all day and hardly notice I am wearing it and it pulls everything up tight and flush and never find myself adjusting it,hard to believe it took me fifteen years to stumble across this simple fact. I have mentioned it to a couple buddies and they said" Your just finding this out" I think Galco&Bianchi make them. I got mine from a guy advertises on the Glocktalk Board under the holsters for sale and goes by Pesky He is retired and lives down the street from Aker and turns in orders daily. If he is still around he will get size, color, width&buckle You want. I paid $45 shipped for it last year and still look brand new. -
Went to last one there and it was moved into the back corner of building with no air because a retail store moved into the original part. Talked to promoters people and they said not only were they unhappy so were all the dealers. Said they were trying to find a permeant location like the old Smyrna location. The building has to be able to give a min. one year lease or more allowing 2-6 shows,a large lot allowing plenty of parking, clean, well lit with heat and air working, allow plenty of tables with room for wide isles and be affordable, within about thirty mile radius of Nashville. No luck so far.
