had friends in from Pennsylvania a few years back. I dropped part at the golf course while the rest of us went shopping, When I picked them up they were complaining about the clover on the fairways. I explained that we are in Tennessee, we have red clay, if it weren't for the clover the course would be brown or barren. So why won't mine cover the brown spaces where my dogs pee?

since you brought it up. Kel Tec .32 ACP has been with me for over 20 years. I also have a Browning Baby if I need something REALLY small. Both are reliable with the Browning being 100% And the Kel Tec failing once. I did slip my 8 round 4 inch .357 in the pocket of my shorts Sunday not intending to get out of the car. Wound up having to traipse through walmart. we had no issues. carry and concealed comfort are relative to clothing and determination.

Welcome to the semi free. Macon Co is where I call home. I'll move back when I retire. Swing by and tell my brother in law to get his a$$ back here.

THANKS much!!! I had done the math but was afraid my grain to pound source was flawed. you just confirmed what I found. Good to know all that math I took works for something.

I'm a novice having only replicated my favorite 30-30 rounds. I have a silly question as I am about to start rolling .45 ACP. How many rounds would one get per pound of powder using 4-5 grains per round? approximately and provided we don't spill. you know, just a rough estimate so I know what to expect.

oh hell, I commented on reds offer before I got to the goats. I have tears from laughing (well the pollen is helping there) seriously, we have an everything else, goats are great currency. well they USED to be, now they are like the covid dogs and being given away (or maybe they are just used up)

that seems a good way to bring in lifetime members! I applaud your efforts!

I carry auto because they have a thinner profile for the same round count. I also shoot better with autos. now caliber and size depends on where I'm going.

I got hit with some high prices due to buying different calibers than what I normally keep. Did so to ensure I would have some choices. (if the store is out of .45 I can buy 9mm). bought my first ever 9mm while looking for a .40 S&W chambered pistol. BECAUSE at the time .40 S&W and .44 mag are the only things on the shelf. It has caught me off guard in that respect, thought there would always be at least a limited supply of everything. Should have known better, last time I couldn't get any .32 ACP.

fed ex already hates me. I buy dog food from chewy in 50# bags twice a month.

Restrict NEW members from sending private messages?
papa61 replied to TGO David's topic in Feedback and Support
I agree. my vote would be for benefactors only. and yes, I'm one of the guys who complained about armslist changing. but I believe they did it for financial reasons and didn't grandfather in existing members. yes, I can spot the scammers and believe in freedoms but this is a private forum. I joined not for the classifieds but for the information and camaraderie. I thought long and hard about it because of big brother and my lack pf privacy so it isn't something I did on a whim. Glad I made the choice I did. -
we have two shelter dogs and a registered great dane pup. I searched the shelters before buying her from a dedicated home breeder. I love all of them.

It's terrible the way people consider pets to be disposable. We wouldn't let ours go for anything. Though I had forgotten how hard puppy training is. Ours are part of the family and are treated as such.

Congratulations to you all! Good Luck to him for the future.

I thought of that after the fact a few years back. kid yanked my wallet while I was filling my bike. I jumped off and went after him, reached in my empty pocket. Lucky for both of us I had been in a building where firearms are prohibited.

Auto Manufacturers pushing synthetic oil? (I’m a bit long winded today)
papa61 replied to Randall53's topic in General Chat
saw several comments on oil on sale/rebates and changing your own oil. I used to all of the time. then I found it to be less expensive to have it done. that also geys the vehicle up on a lift to more easily see other issues. with Buick sending me coupons for oil. filter and tire rotation for $40 I'm not crawling under it. yep, that is up to 6 quarts full synthetic. -
Situational Awareness. Depends on where I'm going, what time of day, what the social climate is, etc. Some days it's just my 7 round Kel Tec P32, some days my Para P14-45 with a back-up. If I lived in certain areas of the country I wouldn't go out without an AR and a pump 12ga. I just purchased a Taurus 608 and it's the only revolver in my collection at this time, so no, 6 isn't enough LOL

Auto Manufacturers pushing synthetic oil? (I’m a bit long winded today)

This is true. I do believe synthetic is superior over he long haul. Less wear on critical surfaces due to the smaller molecules. You also get the benefit of running lighter weight oil that increases fuel economy. I had an instructor who was running his wife's minivan without complete oil changes. he changed filter and topped off every 5000 miles. She had over 300K miles last I heard. Synthetic just does not hold the dirt like conventional.
