I wan't hit by a truck but I can sympathize with your issues. I have an alien baby now just below and left of my sternum, pins and screws in my neck, two hernia repairs previously. THAT'S why I work at a desk!

I was looking at the classifieds and noticed an "EXTREME WEATHER" model 70. It brought a few questions to mind regarding stock materials as I prefer the aesthetics of wood. Would the weather, ie cold, snow, rain, affect wood, fiberglass or other synthetics more or less fro each? When a rifle is bedded is the inside finished and sealed to keep moisture out? not something I would expect to need, just general curiosity. What say ye experienced riflemen?

no 30-30, only Wolf in 300 BO. .22 is high compared to Sportsmans warehouse and Acadamy. Local shop doesn't have any calibers I need on shelf except 22 though. -
I did that bit. Most guys wear their back out before they retire. congrats on making 35 years.

Glad you have a plan, I'll retire when they pry my mouse out of my cold dead hand LOL

I read and learn. Don't shoot 257 but the knowledge will translate. TGO people are great!

thanks much! it does have a burr on the follower. I hope the 25round plinkster mag will work, that would be great.

finally made it to the range today. I polished the feed ramp and straightened the feed lips on both mags. ran both mags with Federal bulk, Winchester red box, Aguila all 40 grain, Aguila bulk and stinger 36 grain. plus a couple more mags of stingers ang fed bulk. not a single malfunction in over 140 rounds. I got a Rossi .22 rifle for my birthday. it shoots great. I was surprised by the light clean trigger. rifle shoots great, NOW I get to fix THAT magazine. sure it's a cheap rifle but it works and shoots terrific except for the mag. why build a good firearm and put a cheap piece of crap mag in it? Maybe it will "break in"

Looks like 22 LR ammo is slowly coming back

Sportsman's Warehouse has Aguila 250 rd packs for $14.99. both 36 gr hollowpoint and 40 gr solid. I got one of each. The Murfreesboro store has plenty in stock and the sale runs through Dec 5 I believe. -
glad you are doing better. hope your recovery continues. I understand the struggle.

very good points all. I have been reduced to voting for the lesser of two evils. our process is not broken, it is our ideals and fear of God that are missing. we no longer as a nation strive for the good of all but stand for our own self interests. me included. my belief is that we got here by not standing against small evils until the small "concessions" have become overwhelming. remain involved, speak up against wrong regardless of the fear. hold the fight until the end.

I am thankful for my health, family, and friends. I am most thankful for our loving forgiving God almighty. happy Thanksgiving and God bless you all.

had a blue 6 inch 669VR back in the 80s. it took on some very hot reloads with no issues. had to pawn it to pay my divorce lawyer along with a stainless 85. Taurus makes some good pistols, never had problem with any I've owned. have yet to own a 44 but it is on my list with Ruger's Alaskan being tops and raging bull second. but for EDC 45 has been my choice as long as clothing allows. only got a 9mm this year. 357 would still be my woods piece.

Brownells did a utube vid on how to repair that. have to steam all of the oil and stain out before you epoxy it. I'll try to find it and post a link.

yeah, I got that bug too.

Paid almost $24 for Federal 325 round pack Sunday at wallyworld. Academy in Smyrna has Aguilla 300 round packs of 36 gr hollow points and 40 gr solids. about $21 per box, On Target had Aguilla 50 round 40 gr at $4.99 per. Sportsmans Warehouse has bulk packs too, can't remember the priceon those. I picked up a couple boxes of 208 gr sub sonic sig ammo for my .300 blk at $32.99 a box. -
well that's just sad.

Western holster rig makers in Tennessee?

have you checked Arrington tack and gun shop? I had to look it up. It is Triune Guns and Trailers now. Used to carry local made leather there. Along with saddlery. -
I have 3 .45s and got my very first 9mm this year. It does feel like a mini gun compared to the 45s. Sold it and got a PF9. great little gun. You made a great purchase, congratulations. I personally prefer 1911 but the M&P is a great pistol.
