  1. It was a combo of AAC and Ammo Inc. Both subsonic. But the end cap was fine after shooting the rifle. I didn’t check the baffles until later. The end cap was broken only after shooting the Federal 9mm subsonic. Maybe the 300BO struck the baffle and the 9 struck the end cap? I dunno. I’ll be sure to check it out better when changing from rifle to pistol from now on. -southernasylum
  2. Bad news and good news. The bad news is that I had a baffle strike last range trip. The good news is that Silencerco has great warranty service. I got an RMA from them and shipped it off not sure what to expect. They received it Tuesday and sent it back my way today, Thursday! It's scheduled for delivery on Wednesday next week. Thats crazy fast! I went shooting with the wife and shot a couple hundred rounds of 300 Blackout with no problem. Then I attached the piston and shot maybe another 200 rounds of 9mm. I checked the suppressor for tightness after each magazine. I didn't notice anything until we were packing up. When I removed it, the end cap had 2 distinct notches where it was impacted. I didn't check the baffles until I got home as it was still pretty hot and we were traveling. When I got home and disassembled it the next day I took of the end cap and to my relief there seemed to be no damage. Then I removed the extension baffles and there was a strike on the one baffle. I don't understand how the 3rd from the last baffle was struck but not the 2 in the extension. Weird! Glad I'll have it repaired and back in my hands soon. Kudos to Silencerco for the crazy fast turnaround. -southernasylum
  3. Now if only the trust approvals would speed up! I’m really wanting a .22 can.
  4. I only have the Silencerco Omega 36M, but so far I love it! The low back pressure cans are the latest and greatest so going forward I'd like to get one of those and definitely a dedicated .22 supressor. Purchasing through Silencer Shop made it fairly easy to do. I'm waiting for another BOGO from Silencerco. They had one 2 weeks after I bought mine. Just missed out! -southernasylum
  5. Congratulations! That was FAST!
  6. Will do. So far I’ve only taken it out once and love it. I shot 300blk, both subs and supersonic, 5.56 and 9mm. I know your not supposed to because of fouling but I shot a couple mags of .22 as well. That made me want a .22 suppressor now! I did buy several muzzle devices and a piston mount while I was waiting for the approval. This makes shooting much more enjoyable and shooting a suppressed pistol is just plain fun! -southernasylum
  7. I’m considering the Hybrid 46 next but may choose a low back pressure can instead. I’m hoping they offer another bogo. Silencerco did the last bogo 3 weeks after I bought this one.
  8. Silencerco Omega 36M Got it just before Christmas. Just over 7 months wait. She’s a beauty! -southernasylum
  9. I never got around to sharing my TGO build. This was my very first AR15 from the old group buy. I just swapped the cheap yet sturdy UTG quad rail for a CMT HDM rail. To be honest I didn't hate the UTG Pro rail, but I felt like the rifle deserved better. It's a TGO CMT upper and lower set, 16" barrel with a Silencerco ASR flash hider, Magpul MOE furniture, AIM surplus BCG, sporting a Vortex 1x6. -southernasylum

  10. So, I went with the Silencerco Omega 36m. Praying for one of those unusually rare quick approvals! Not holding my breath. Gotta say the Silencershop purchase process with the kiosk and online so far has been fairly easy. I'm excited to get my hands on it eventually! -southernasylum
  11. From their site it looks as though the Banish Gold is not modular. Is that correct? I really like the idea of being able to run a shorter configuration sometimes. The Gold does seem like a decent deal. -southernasylum
  12. Thanks BHunted! I'll take a look at the Gold. With this being my first I don't want to pick the wrong one! Can the Banish end cap be replaced with a quick mount system? If so, I think with the weight savings I would prefer it over the Omega. Also, what was the process like? I like that both Silencer Central and Silencer Shop can set up an NFA trust. -southernasylum
  13. I’m researching suppressors for my very first. I’m considering the banish 30. I like that it’s modular and light weight. Has anyone here used one. I’m also interested in the Omega 36M. I want to start with a multipurpose .30 cal. Are there better options? Will I regret the direct thread if I go with the Banish? I will be building a 300 Blackout for it but I’ll pick up a threaded barrel for my Beretta 92 when I finally purchase a suppressor as well. Thanks in advance for the insight. Sincerely, southernasylum
  14. Still love my TGO CMT AR. It was my first! This seems like a bargain! GLWS
  15. With free shipping on 5+ my total for 8 mags was $78.93! I know this use to be pretty common, but I haven't seen em that low in a while. Use coupon code: PMAG -southernasylum
  16. Aero Precision makes some great cantilever mounts. -southernasylum
  17. Is mine the only first with a TGO logo on it? Surely there were others who's first was the CMT group buy! I'll add a pic when I get a chance. -southernasylum
  18. I saw this and thought it was cool. I didn't find it on here and thought some of Y'all might be interested. Enjoy! -southernasylum See Through Suppressor Slow Motion
  19. Yeah, I was wondering how people were gonna know where to hold that thing from!
  20. Exactly what I was thinking!
  21. Definitely check out AIM surplus for magazines. They have the 7 and 8 round mags for $16.95. Most other placers are $20 and up and $30 for the 7 round. I picked up a first gen recently and ordered a couple extra mags right away. Its a great little shooter and super easy to conceal! link for convenience: https://aimsurplus.com/smith-wesson-shield-9mm-8rd-factory-magazine https://aimsurplus.com/smith-wesson-shield-9mm-7rd-factory-magazine -southernasylum
  22. Sorry for the slow reply. I've been distracted lately. Here is an old post I made right after I got it. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/45771-my-latest-diy-holster-and-new-to-me-sig229/ Cheers, southernasylum
  23. I figured you checked but just had to ask. Mine is an old German gun I got from a member here. I love it.
  24. I got a few stainless Mec Gar 15rd mags from Midsouth Shooter Supply a few years back and they are great. The two factory mags that came with my gun were only 13 rounds. Are you sure the checkmate mags are 15rounders?
  25. I havn't kept up with the price of Taurus revolvers but my gut says that's a bit high for a couple of used Taurus guns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
