  1. I think Carter's has a $20 yearly membership option. $10 per visit (guest under 18 free or $10 for an adult guest). 423-344-1099
  2. I've put about 400 rounds through mine with no problems.  The grip safety does a slight rattle but haven't did anything to it yet.  Mine is the commander size and I'm waiting for an OWB holster for it.
  3. Thanks for the replies and I'll let everyone know the outcome. And I'm not gonna call.
  4. Me and the family were planning a trip to visit Mayfield Dairy, and I was wondering if they were posted against carry? Not really a big deal but I hate getting to door then having to go back to the car. thanks

    Ruger SR22

When me and my daughter go shoot I don't keep one in the chamber, insert 10 rd mag and rack the slide and bang bang.
  6. Try loading up the mag and letting it sit a day or two. Some mags have very stiff springs. I also purchased 2 Wilson Combat mags just because their supposed to be very reliable. Nice gun also, I was looking for a Loaded Champion but ended up with the Ruger commander.
  7. Finally made it to the range. Everything went good. Put 200 rounds down range with no failures. Didn't bring an allen wrench so you know the grip screws would began to loosen up after that first 100. Grip safety still rattles but not nearly as bad as before.
  8. I' ve done the basic strip and grease. YouTube here I come!!
  9. We would have good weather when I'm working. It will probably rain or snow on my next off day.
  10. Finally one of the lgs received one. Got it taken down and greased, just need to put a couple hundred through it. Didn't pay much attention at the store but the grip safety rattles like crazy. This being my 1st 1911 probably will not make any changes for a while. I'll get a couple more mags & 2 holsters.
  11. Nice grips. Im looking for a commander to come home with me.
  12. I haven't seen any at Wal-Mart's here. Except for that day they had some Tula 50 round boxes but they only let me get 3 boxes.
  13. There is a store that will honor $25 a mag even if its on back order. Got a shipping info yesterday for some that had been waiting on.
  14. Me too. They showed in stock and I tried.
  15. M&P 45 compact or Ruger SR45 compact
  16. You need a photobucket or picasa or flickr or similar host. Then you can you paste the img code in your post.
  17. Not as easy as I thought In the dark I couldn't get the phone to pick up good but I could definitely see the front standing out. I also tried one against the red jacket but it blended in. So as long as they don't have on red shirt I'm just kidding. My eyes picked the sights but the camera phone didn't.
  18. Basically you just need another members life member number, call the NRA Membership department, select the life member option, give the person's life member number, and then sign up.
  19. http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/350601935/m/5350052203 I'll try to take some pics. You can order the sights or send him your slide only and he'll install. I think as a guest you can still read SIGforum or if needed I can get his email address.
  20. I received my slide today. Shipped it off to get sights installed. The orange shows up very good. I'll try to get out tomorrow and check it out more if its sunny outside. Compared to Ameriglo night front sight (white) the orange stands out and my eyes focus a lot quicker.
  21. Since I don't remember the previous high capacity magazine ban, would my 12 & 17 rounds be illegal to carry with my permit. Should I perhaps pick up a few 10 round mags for carry while they are available? Just read this is about rifles but if someone has an opinion on this they can send a pm. thanks
  22. If that doesn't work out Dick's Sporting Goods had some M&P's with Troy quad rail or the Optics ready version.
