From what I remember in an article from a long time ago it was more about with factory ammo you could recreate the scene easier and be able to verify your accounts of what happen. Say I said he was 7 feet ago when I fired, with factory ammo they could recreate test and retest to see how that ammo would penetrate at that distance. With a reload they assume consistency couldn't be recreated.

I'm new to AR's. But where the take down pin is for the rear there is a pin in there because I had to slide it back so I could keep up with it. I think that's it, I guess I need to go find some new vocabulary word also. Thanks

Put a qd end plate and lost that spring. Not the one with the pin for the buffer tube. Locally in Chattanooga can these be found or do need to go online? If I go online what other pins, springs should I get since I'm going to pay shipping. thanks

I'm still new to 1911 but I read about using a small piece of card (like from a deck of cards). Too kept from scratching the frame until you more comfortable.

I've got the commander also and really like it but my back doesn't. It's a keeper and now that the lightweight commander by Ruger is out that may be next choice. I had be set on get a Dan Wesson Guardian but now I got to decide which one to get.

What I've done with magazines with sleeves is to slide them up and put a piece of clear tape around the base then slide the sleeve back on. Nice snug fit and it doesn't move around.

I got a 9 & 40(w/357 & 9 barrel). The 40 was purchased 1st but I believe it's gotta go and I'm gonna keep the 9 and get the full size to be complete. But I also keep looking at 45c.

I bought my M&P 40 first, then my wife shot it. Had to get her the 9 and she likes it as her nightstand gun. She carries the Kahe more. More and more I've carried and a different brand and caliber but I shoot the 40 pretty good. Got a Crimson trace for her, and 357 Sig barrel and a Storm Lake 9 conversion barrel during the ammo craze. I'm pretty much covered if ammo went side ways again. But I've since went in different direction and I'm keeping the 40 the more as 2 is 1 so if any thing happens with her 9. But it's also the 1st I think about selling when I something new. Less than 1000 rounds through all barrel but the trigger has got a lot better. In the hand feel made the difference for me. For me also getting rid of of 2 caliber (buying ammo) would help me but I haven't got there yet. I believe in your case it's gonna determine which feels the best in hand along with the $$$.
