  1. If you were close I would buy the blanks so I could use the grenade launcher on my Yugo SKS.
  2. I've heard this stuff works great.
  3. CMP 1911 About half way down the page.
  4. G48 slide on a G43 frame IWB.
  5. You can probably buy a new RMR cut slide for about the same money as having yours milled.
  6. I've taken a few deer with 300bo. Ballistics are close to 30-30 or 7.62x39. Where it really shines is suppressed with subsonics. With a bolt action or single shot you can really get creative with faster powders and it can be "Hollywood quiet."
  7. My favorite target load uses Varget and Hornady 75gr BTHP match bullets.
  8. Uric acid can also form kidney stones. I have had the pleasure of both kidney stones and gout. I try to watch what I eat. Don't drink much, but I love shellfish and liver. I will usually have a bout of gout soon after we return from vacation on the gulf coast.
  9. The 1:9 twist should do best with 55-69 gr bullets. The 1:7 twist should do best with 69-77 gr bullets. ARs with free float handguards are usually more accurate than those with standard handguards. I also came from a bolt action hunting/target shooting background and had to change my expectations when I started shooting ARs. All else being equal, bolt action rifles are just inherently more accurate than semi-autos. Not to say semis can't be extremely accurate if built and tuned right, but you seldom find one that will hang with bolt actions straight out of the box.
  10. It should work great for protection from dings and scratches. I wouldn't leave it on the gun very long as it could hold moisture and cause rust. I can think of many other uses for it. Camouflage self adhesive bandage wrap
  11. Two to three inches at 100 yards with bulk ammo is pretty much normal with any rifle. Most rifles, even the cheaper ones, are way more limited by ammo and shooter skill than anything else. I have a couple of ARs I built for competition that are capable sub MOA all day every day with my handloads or expensive target ammo. Both will only achieve at best about 1.5 - 2 MOA with bulk ammo.
  12. Add two daughters to the mix and it's even worse.
  13. The ducks and bowling pins are also suspicious.
