  1. You will be hard pressed to beat the accuracy and reliability of Savage rifles straight out of the box without spending >2x or more. I bought an Axis in 6.5 CM a couple of years ago when Walmart was getting rid of them for less than $200 and it is a great gun. First thing I did was replace the cheap Weaver scope that came with it. It shoots about 1 moa with factory ammo and about 1/2 moa with handloads. It is lighter and the stock feels cheaper than my other Savage rifles, but it still performs.
  2. Wish you had posted this a few days earlier. Just got back from G-burg the other day. Any chance you are headed to west TN soon?
  3. Turkish m1903/38 8mm Mauser with 20 rounds $425 Spanish m1916 carbine 7mm Mauser with 20 rounds $350 Both for $700 FTF Jackson, TN
  4. Take every opportunity you can get or make to spend time doing things like this with him. My dad is 86 and was still active and going strong until a couple of years ago. The past two years have a downward spiral for his mobility and health. I will be surprised if he is still here in another couple of years.
  5. Not on 240 you won't. 90 year old granny in her 1978 Ford LTD will treat you as a speedbump if you are only going the speed limit.
  6. Well, that sucks. Maybe a visit to Chickamauga Battlefield? The visitor center and museum is awesome. Hell of a firearms collection on display. And, at least a few years ago, you could take a driving tour around the park.
  7. Train ride on Tennessee Valley Railroad
  8. Something like this should work. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083WNTC7L/?coliid=I3JRT4EBFH1NFZ&colid=2DHR7B3WVRME4&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
  9. Is the bucket food grade?
  10. Double action with holster and 39 rounds of surplus ammo.
  11. The only thing worse than losing an argument with the wife is winning one.
