I have 2 sets of RCBS .44mag/spcl dies. A friend wants me to reload .45 Long Colt for him. I'd like to trade a set of .44 dies for 45LC if someone has a spare set they dont use. Thank you

Mine are not for sale!!! But... I have a CZ P-09, P-07, Cajunized 75B, Cajunized SP-01 Phantom, and a SP-01 (my EDC). If you can wait a week, you can try them before you buy something you may not like (your ammo, of course). Obviously I like CZs. I live 2 miles from the Stones River Gun Range on Hobson Pike. Its only open on Fri, Sat and Sundays. I plan on going next week to try and sight in my new PSA Dagger.

ad closed Black Powder Revolver everything you need- $325
mikadosoft replied to FireMedic's topic in Firearms Classifieds
It would be cost prohibitive to ship the powder and caps (probably), but everything else is legal to ship in TN. Disregard, just noticed the face to face only... -
About how many rounds through it?

Where do you buy your reloading supplies?
mikadosoft replied to enfield's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I'll agree with A&H Reloading. Good prices and good selection. -
I like the idea of a boat. But I would use it to get to an island in Percy Priest Lake. On an island, you could have great cover (build it). You will have great fields of fire (no cover on the water as people/zombies approach). Shooting at the waterline will slow approaching boats even more. Access to food (fish) and water. Lastly quick avenues of escape. John

Think powered paraglider to get out of there if overrun. I have to think there would be good wind (updraft) at the top of a steep hill. John

I recommend a AR15 chambered in .45ACP. You can get the lower here. http://www.cncguns.com/projects/AR45lower.html . You can get the upper here... http://www.rmwxtreme.com/rmwxtreme/ . SBR the rifle and add a suppressor. You still should have enough left over for a midrange 1911. That way you use all the same ammo and both your sidearm and your rifle can be suppressed. ALL .45ACP is subsonic. If you have to shoot farther than a .45 can reach, you don't need to be shooting it. Here's a cool video of a .45ACP 7.5 AR in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTEpwk9JukM John

I work the metro crime scene unit. I was not involved in this case, but talked to the officers that were. There were witnesses. There is more to story. You will find out in court. He was arrested. In my opinion, he should have been arrested that night. John

Oh shoot, Zombies are not buying guns and ammo. Zombies wait for the government to give them guns and ammo. The people that are buying all the stuff are the people that looked at you like you were crazy when you started talking about zombies once upon a time... The people that trusted in the government until just recently they noticed the government trying to take away their right to defend themselves. A large portion of the populace has had that cathartic moment that most of us here have had long ago. They now realize that the government is not their friend. People in the government are out to maintain their power any way possible. I have friend that never made any rude comments when I talked about the ZA. He just sat quietly. When Obama started talking about banning guns, he called me wanting recommendations for an AR purchase.

Sorry... Didn't notice that it had already been posted. As for the zombie connection, people that are preparing for zombies, can avoids the mad rush. Once the rush is over, buy stuff. I think a lot ot the people are buying stuff on credit. In a few months the credit card bills will come due and they'll sell the stuff to help pay the credit cards. A fool and their money are soon parted. I am a zombies prepper and I know prepping for them takes a lot of money. Just trying to maximize what fellow preppers can get with their money. I've even sold some of my stuff with the intent to buy it back once the rush is over. John

I don't have an extra $20 to spare at the moment to renew my TGO posting ability in the trading area (I'll have it on the 22nd payday) so I thought I'd post this here to get the word out. I figure everyone on here are the ones that need to know this anyway. I recieved this information in an email and found a link for it. Believe it or not. I'm just putting it out there. http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2013/01/update-status-of-gun-industry.html Here's a cut and paste from the site. Status of gun industry Attention F.B. fans: to follow will be several IMPORTANT Info updates about the status of the gun industry currently, followed by an INVENTORY UPDATE: We traveled to Texas for Industry meetings concerning the shortages, here's what we were told. Smith & Wesson-is running at Full capacity making 300+ guns/day-mainly M&P pistols. They are unable to produce any more guns to help with the shortages. RUGER: Plans to increase from 75% to 100% in the next 90 days. FNH: Moving from 50% production to 75% by Feb 1st and 100% by March 1. Remington-Maxed out! Armalite: Maxed out. DPMS: Can't get enough parts to produce any more product. COLT: Production runs increasing weekly...bottle necked by Bolt carrier's. LWRC:Making only black guns, running at full capacity...can't get enough gun quality steel to make barrels. Springfield Armory: Only company who can meet demand but are running 30-45 days behind. AMMO: Every caliber is now Allocated! We are looking at a nation wide shortage of all calibers over the next 9 months. All plants are producing as much ammo as possible w/ of 1 BILLION rounds produced weekly. Most is military followed by L.E. and civilians are third in line. MAGPUL is behind 1 MILLION mags, do not expect any large quantities of magpul anytime soon. RELOADERS... ALL Remington, Winchester, CCI & Federal primers are going to ammo FIRST. There are no extra's for reloading purposes... it could be 6-9 months before things get caught up. Sorry for the bleak news, but now we know what to expect in the coming months. Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted... Barack Obama, Dianne Feinstein and the rest of the Statists have done more to promote gun ownership than the NRA ever did. Well done, Democrats! They didn’t know when they’d be getting anything back in stock, from magazines to rifles to pistols. Manufacturers were running full-bore, but couldn’t come close to keeping up with market demand. It wasn’t just the AR-15s, the AK-pattern rifles, the M1As, and the FALs that were sold out. It really hit me when I realized that the World War-era M1 Garands, M1 carbines, and Enfield .303s were gone, along with every last shell. Ubiquitous Mosin-Nagants—of which every gun store always seems to have 10-20—were gone. So was their ammo. Only a dust free space marked their passing. I’ve never seen anything like it. Every weapon of military utility designed within the past 100+ years was gone. This isn’t a society stocking up on certain guns because they fear they may be banned. This is a society preparing for war.

It is simple ecomonic... supply and demand. People that have been postponing buying guns, mags, ammo etc are now thinking their time is running out. Guns, mags, ammo are like stock. Buy them low and sell them high. A fool and his money are soon parted. The value of an object is what people will pay for it. John

I haven't read the book so there is nothing for me to compare it to. It looks like a great movie. I have heard the book is great also. Perhaps they only share a title. I will judged each indepentantly. I've got to get that book... John

Has anybody seen the WWZ trailer. I don't think you can ever have enough ammo (don't misunderstand, I'm still gonna try). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcwTxRuq-uk Fast Zombies working like a group of army ants overcoming obsticles. John

I agree with you relating to the term "lethality." The .22LR would be making them "re-dead" or "perma-dead." I think the .22LR would "deanimate" them via distruction of the brain. I think those little 40 grain lead BB's bang around in your skull once they make the initial penetration. I don't see how the lead itself (toxic) would have any affect. Following your train of thought, undead have no circulation and therefore the lead would only affect the prion or virus that is actually touched by it. Relating to 'lead free' bullets... It seems like its another hippy, tree hugger, liberal way to ruin a good apocalypse. I blame Obama. John

The 28 Days Later zombies are way more scarey. The Walking Dead are obviously "walking!" You can outrun all of them with a slight trot. Even a "fatty" like me can outrun them. If you could breed a 28 Days Later zombie with a Zombieland zombie I think you'd have the best breed of zombie. A 28 Days Later zombie can run. A Zombieland zombie can problem solve (climb towers and fences). I could see a Zombieland zombie riding a bike. They seem pretty smart for a zombie. John
