  1. The could always go to work making Soylent Green...
  2. Hi @Moped - The PC version grip safety is aluminum (the regular version is polymer), and it is larger with sharp edges (for some reason). It sticks out further when fully depressed than the regular version. I think the idea for the PC was to have a better purchase on the pistol, but the result is an uncomfortable and ridged protrusion in the palm of your hand. It is the same on the EZ 380 PC model and perhaps with .380 recoil this was not a problem, but, for a range session with 9 mm, it's not fun. And maybe that's MY issue - i like to shoot too much. For just running a mag or two through it, it may not really matter, but after a box or so I want to move onto something else. And yes, it isn't really that small, but it is very well-balanced and comfortable. For me, I still like my LC9S, but the trigger reach on the Ruger isn't good for my wife. The S&W the trigger is a bit further back and the gun is much easier for her to manipulate.
  3. I bought the Performance Center EZ 9 for my wife and can only speak to that version, but, it is indeed easier to rack, quick to takedown, very easy to load and a nice shooting pistol. It is, however, an 8+1 (not 10+1). I like it except the grip safety on the PC version and am hoping to replace it with a regular grip safety.
  4. As a CZ fan, this will be a good thing, I hope. CZ has owned Dan Wesson for years - I wish they still made Dan Wesson 715 revolvers, though.
  5. It's also timing. There were likely many high-ranking officials nearby that were in the process of being evacuated. The line couldn't be breached and the door appeared to only be barricaded. The Officer gave warning and stopped entry and seemed to prevent any further intrusion.
  6. Sorry to here this! Best of luck to you Thanks for the alert @bigun
  7. So, here's my girl (again) posing for our snowy hike this past weekend.
  8. Indeed, "groupings" often have little meaning other than offering insight towards the biases of those defining the groups.
  9. I ordered some holsters in September that went to Puerto Rico for over a full week before finally making in back to the mainland system. The leather was very nicely tanned.
  10. Yes. It was interesting this was permitted in the first place. I'm not certain guns -n- politics is a good mix
  11. Well, he DID bring his mother with him, too. Perhaps she needed to lay out better clothes for him (is it too much to suggest Grrr Animals?) Meanwhile, Bullwinkle (the dude with the horns) has been found at his secret location: living in his mommy's house - lol! https://www.12news.com/article/news/national/my-son-is-a-great-patriot-mom-of-horned-arizona-protestor-speaks-out/75-2e74d7b2-fd85-4771-9c34-8f1cd2162d40
  12. Darn, I thought this was going to be a dog thread, but I like trees, too. We planted several paw paws in a semi shaded/partial sun area a few years back and they are slowly taking form, but no fruit yet. They seem susceptible to late frost and have had some set backs. If anyone cares, paw paws serve as larval hosts to the Zebra swallowtail, which is the State butterfly of TN https://statesymbolsusa.org/symbol-official-item/tennessee/state-insect/zebra-swallowtail-butterfly
  13. I think gun control is a wedge-issue topic designed to rally the base, for the most part. While many politicians may run on such platforms, they may not necessarily vote on them. And then, matters must clear the Courts. We need to be calm, be reasonable and offer a historical/educational perspective of the importance of the 2nd Amendment and how it impacts and improves our safety/democracy. I think there are many relevant and current examples that can be used in our explanations. What I don't think we need are open-carry gun rallies and armed folks storming into legislatures demanding gun rights, etc as this seems to work counter towards the goal. Being cool, polite and empathetic will work much better than shouting matches and mutual disdain. Full Disclosure: I am NOT a card-carrying member of the Optimists Club - lol!
  14. Hopefully then, the pistol will come back, soon and all will be good Bugs aside, the EZ 9 shoots quite nicely; I'm sure the .380 is particularly smooth.
  15. You raise a heckuva a point, but history is conserved by the victorious.
  16. Big props to you and especially your Father!
  17. That's really awesome! My Dad earned the DFC and Bronze Star in Vietnam, but he ended up as a disabled vet and died due to Agent Orange.
  18. Wow, indeed. For a '94? Those used to be the gun of choice in the rack of a pickup. There is a M 99 in .300 in my life, too ;). I am afraid to see what those would go for, but then again, I am neither buying nor selling - lol.
  19. My family has a deep history with military service and this was always a part of my life. As a child, I followed the career and history of may folks. While there are numerous folks I of whom I admire their service and deeds - Patton, Farragut, JP Jones, JEB Stuart, JFK, Audie Murphy and Alvin York - one individual stands above to me. Stephen Decatur, a true hero and wicked badass. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Decatur
  20. How about a .357 magnum? (e.g. a Ruger Blackhawk with convertible cylinders)
  21. I understand, but the reason the other driver was reacting was from the OP's actions. Had this been unprovoked, then the OP may have had valid uncertainty about the matter. However, we have a duty to retreat whenever possible and avoiding a deadly encounter is best course of action. I think the OP used great judgement in not discharging the weapon.
  22. The Finger is Free Speech and protected by the 1st Amendment. No one has the right to physically assault you for making Free Speech. Period. That said, your life was not in jeopardy, you contributed to the mess and the nothing in the event comes close to requiring deadly force. It's a very good thing for everyone you did not discharge your weapon.
  23. and they didn't even take the field! https://www.knoxnews.com/story/sports/college/university-of-tennessee/football/2020/12/21/tennessee-football-liberty-bowl-drop-out-jeremy-pruitt-positive-covid-vols/3999313001/
