That's unfortunately true! It was a kid who had very bad ideas that day, for sure. Perhaps they'll determine how and where the kid obtained the weapon/ammo? Maybe schools need metal detectors to back up the SROs? They seemed outnumbered and in need of support.

Fair enough. I don't pay heed to social media nor lump it as news, either.
-
Because simply criticizing an evolving headline (if it is even the case) seems like a really minor point to argue and casts folks as insensitive and myopic. PS. I never saw anything about a "Mass shooting" except here. Everything I read said "Multiple people shot", so I fail to see any real purpose to suggest the media was "wrong" or "sensationalizing" the story.

With all due respect, I don't think criticizing news articles or other commenters who are reacting to a school shooting will do anything but push folks further away from the interests of law-abiding gun owners. Perhaps we should recognize the bravery and utility of SROs in protecting our children, instead? This was a textbook (pun intended) example of the role of the School Resource Officer in creating a safe place for kids to learn.

They may have to re-schedule as the vaccination sites generally have ~ only enough for their appointments, particularly because of the cold-storage requirements for Pfizer and Moderna

I only saw a headline about "multiple people" shot?

Good for you! Logistics is the key here. Yes, it's a bit of a free-for-all and I just thought I would alert folks to be persistent and to call TN Dept of Health at 866-442-5301 if they have problems registering! The folks there were quick to resolve the issue!

I had a dickens of a time trying to schedule my 2nd dose appointment via the web. The system would not confirm my appointment nor let me proceed further, so I ended up having to hard-dial a real, live human to set this up. I'm at a different Health Center than the first time, but will be happy when it's done Oddly, you aren't automatically signed up after the first shot, which would be sensible. Maybe they'll work out the distribution bugs in time for the next pandemic.

I'd like to see gun classes that merge Civics/History and Physics/Chemistry. I think having students not only understand the function of guns, but the historical context and then, incorporate a STEM approach and make them understand, calculate and determine the chemistry of exothermic reactions and the physics and math of motion and ballistics.

I can't believe this douche bag is cussing out the cops and causing them a problem because they asked him to move (See ~1:30:00)

Holy strokes not another massage parlor incident. Gee and I thought the QB was supposed to be the hands of the team, too...
-
I certainly haven't a clue on the History of massage parlors, but, camp followers, "Hookers" ( Gen Hooker), etc have accompanied campaigns, camps/bases and war zones probably as long as we have had organized campaigns, camps/bases and wars.

Yes, but Capt Jay Baker pulled out a flaccid excuse for this guy's actions, which was not necessary at all. In fact, it may taint the case. He discounted the killing of 8 people as having a "bad day"? I agree, let's certainly focus on the nutcase kid, but I question that comment, too.
