We had a small function to view the conjunction. You can see the two planets, distinctly, with the naked eye - they appear very close. A friend had a nice telescope and Saturn's rings and several of Jupiter's moons were readily apparent. If you get a chance, look up abut 17 degrees from the horizon to the west around sunset.

The Ranger is a good size truck for me. I currently flog a Forester because I really like the short turning radius and short wheelbase when off road. As for Mavericks - I totaled a Mercury Comet variant. They sure weren't designed for safety - ouch!

Yeah, I think it is the perfect carry pistol and mine has never had a hiccup, either. It came with fiber optic sights and was less than $250. My LCP II was ~ $190. I couldn't pass that up.

I keep a set of index cards with manufacturer, model, serial number, at the top, and then each time I shoot I record the date, ammo type, round count and note any issues/observations. I start a second card, if necessary. I am a big analogue nerd!

Hey, my CZs are my favorite toys, but everything else I own is US-made (save for a few inherited shotguns). I consider my Ruger LCP II and LC9s to be inexpensive (at least they were when I bought them - lol). The LC9s is with me the most of the time. It's a great gun, easy to shoot and surprisingly quite accurate. Mr. Hickcock seems to do well with one, too

I Suspect the manufacturers will end up producing a glut of ammo and the prices will drastically drop by summer. Just a guess.

Awareness Along With Naiveite

I suppose I can get pretty freaky-looking and have noticed folks cross the street to avoid me. Sometimes it's not just your body-language, but hygiene that can create an aura of protection. At least my mail carrier loves me... -
Indeed, Pearl Harbor was a transformative day in so many ways.

Not too many Pearl Harbor Day music videos out there so this will have to suffice. It's an oldie, but....

Wow, that sucks. Thanks for the head's up! I just had an EZ 9 PC come back for warranty repairs with the trigger bar (it was not always re-setting). I must say, I hate the Performance Center's grip safety. ____ Edit: Thankfully, mine is not included in the recall. Mrs Ash will have a SWaMPy Christmas after all

Essential workers probably include the governor and county managers that refused to issue mask mandates.

We used to have that problem when we lived in town. However, once the pigeons came, so did the Cooper's hawks, which were awesome to watch. Effectively, we were feeding the hawks. Sometimes you would see a rain of feathers falling from the trees! Maybe you'll get an urban raptor to help you out

Welcome. Crab Orchard is a nice and quiet place; enjoy!

We ceded democracy to private political parties who utilize public infrastructure (primaries and general election) to conduct their internal business.

Given the choice between calibers, I'd pick the .357 any day. However, I don't think you have to worry about any dangerous animal encounters in TN that warrant either caliber (or the weight). I actually spend far too much time backpacking and camping (heck, I've hiked over 1100 miles so far this year!) and truly suggest you find a lightweight, plastic 9 milli that you don't mind getting wet or losing.

Haha - thanks! The PCR has the full-blown CGW pro kit (good eye with the race hammer!), plus 10x bushing and barrel crown with Dawson sights. It is super sweet and very accurate. The 75 is a Shadowline, fully stock (except grips). These came hot-rodded from the factory with no firing pin block, 85C trigger shoe and trigger/hammer upgrades. I haven't found the need to do anything else with it. -
