  1. I finally have internet, Verizon went down last Sunday. Seems like the common denominator is: if it’s sealed it’s fine. Desiccant & dehumidifiers can’t hurt. I’ve spent a ton of time prepping brass & I’d like to keep as pristine as possible. I took a closer look at the devastation from the recent tornados & will be moving everything into the big safe in the back of the shop which is subterranean. Hopefully nothing big enough to yank 2000 pounds out of the shop hits here. When I volunteered in Nashville a few years ago it seemed like the bulk of destruction happened when a large amount of air was able to get under things or it was the impact from flying debris but I’m no tornado expert. ohell, I just might have a pistol, an ar & a few thousand rounds buried out in the back forty with some cash. There’s gotta be a lot of guys on here that make my cache look like child’s play. Doin 3 or 4 gun drills can kill 1,000 rounds in a few short hours. Adding long range into the standard 3 gun is incredibly challenging & fun. Im in the market for a dozen 50 cal cans with the snap latch on the end & rubber seals. Along with another 30 plastic cases.
  2. Gentlemen (hopefully ladies too), In the next few months my stock pile will be complete & ive been thinking a lot about storage. Not safety, humidity. 15k rounds in 8 different calibers for reference. I was thinking about water tight 50 cal Ammo cans. However it seems that having the rounds stacked on top of each other would expedite corrosion even with silica packets in each can. Cardboard boxes I would think would help absorb moisture but then trap it. Then I got to thinking about air movement & was wondering if moving air would be beneficial. My Ammo safes are in the back bedroom with the best circulation from the AC/heat. Currently I have a mix of mtm cases for the match Ammo, personal defense .45 & the hand loaded .308. Everything else in steel cans, factory boxes & the shells are in big cardboard boxes. I have a lot of silica packets on every shelf. What are you guys using for containers? Have any of you stored Ammo for 10-15+ years in an environment like here in middle TN. Is there an ideal humidity level for polished brass cases & jacketed bullets? The reusable dehumidifiers that you plug in to dry out don’t seem to last with all the moisture we have here. I had been shooting so much in years passed that nothing sat for more than 8-9 months but that was back when Ammo was available so I never really worried about a stock pile. My main concern is the hand loaded match Ammo & the .308. Thanks
  3. In stock as of this afternoon; 30,000-209’s/ lpp’s/ spp’s/ srp’s, (no LRP’s but on order) brass, wads, shot (8.5,9,5) lots of Lee & rcbs dies, a good selection of 1lb powder jugs, factory Ammo/shells, obviously a decent amount of weapons & accessories, etc. The best inventory I’ve seen for 2 years. Best part: pre-scamdemic prices!!! No bull####. $100 per 1000 primers, 1lb powder $27-35, complete die kits $40, wads $14, shot $50. You get the idea. I bought more than needed because the prices were respectful & that whole small business thing the government is trying to destroy. Check em out FYI: the brick & mortar is a separate business from their online sales so be sure to go to kings online web store if needing shipping LETS GO BRANDON!
  4. Kings firearms (Columbia Tn) has a lot of hard to find stuff. I was in store today & surprised they had so much inventory. The brick & mortar is a separate “business” so be sure to stay on the web store.
  5. I’m looking for a big bench vise. The bigger the better. It’s ok if it broken. Cash or Ammo trade. Thanks
  6. I’m looking for any powder designed for .308 & large rifle primers. The more the better.
  7. It is bedded but it’s not HS, it’s most likely bell & carlson. Hard to believe they think they’re worth $320. The complete rifle was only 800.
  8. 1,100 large pistol primers available. 2k small rifle
  9. I’m looking for LRP’s or 209’s of any brand, preferably not magnums to keep me busy if winter ever comes. For Trade & TRADE only I have 1800 large pistol primers & 2000 small rifle primers. I believe omega wants 400 of the pistol primers, leaving 1400 available however he has dibs on as many of the LPP’s as he wants to trade for. This is a straight up trade, 1 for 1 regardless. PM’s best so I get notified of your message. I’m 45 minutes west of Nashville down 40 or 840 but in Nashville/Franklin/Spring Hill occasionally.
  10. Stock stock from my 7mm LA long range rifle. It’s in great condition as it was never used. Forgot who made these, it’s name brand & of decent quality. I put no value on this but if you have LRP’s or 209’s I’ll buy them & give you the stock for bringing them to me. I’m tired of driving & it’s not worth selling. If you want the stock & don’t have primers I’ll take a sleeve of grizzly winter green long delivered to Nunnelly.
  11. I bought this years ago when stuck in CA for work. Can’t remember what I paid, it wasn’t cheap but not high dollar. I made the plate to lower the pad so it wasn’t so uncomfortable for my lanky ass. Let’s put a $60 trade value on it. I’d be interested in primers, another ar stock, good slings, wads, shot, ammo, slugs, tracers or pretty much any accessory a guy would use for shooting or reloading or a good shock collar for a big dog.
  12. 1800 LPP’s straight up trade for LRP’s or 209’s. It doesn’t matter what brand or if they’re magnum’s. Not for sale unless (like some guys) you think they’re worth $250/brick then I’ll consider it. Never mind, guys in this community need to take better care of each other & I’m not participating in gouging anyone. I’m west of Nashville down 40, we can meet in the middle. I found a couple thousand small rifle primers at, close enough to, pre-scamdemic prices last week which will arrive next week & they will be up for trade as well. Same terms as this post.
  13. 7448 Weymouth rd NJ. Does anyone have any experience with this place or is it another pop-up firearms scam? Ive searched business listings, google, Zillow, etc & found nothing. Seems off that they have a lot of reloading supplies at pre-scamdemic prices. Plus there are many basic grammatical errors that foreigners typically make. Things a web designer would never let slide.
  14. It’s time to stock up for winter projects in the gun room. If you have primers & don’t think they’re worth a buck a piece shoot me a message. I live in Nunnelly but will be working on a project in Lavergne soon. Looking for several thousand of each. Thanks. I do have a set of mint condition (maybe an hour of run time) echo power tools that were bought by an elderly client of mine & used as a partial payment for some remodel work. They have been collecting dust so I wouldn’t mind finding a new home for them. Blower, weed eater & 18” chainsaw. All homeowner models. Small enough for female to use easily. Weed eater got a new oem carb last winter but never used after that. I imagine they will need fresh fuel & possibly a carb clean.
  15. Look at archeological supplies. They have dirt sifters for every size imaginable. No doubt you could make one work. It’ll take 30 seconds once u get the mesh size you need.
  16. It’s a Texan progressive. I figured it out & im embarrassed. When I was shot shopping late one night I ordered steel instead of lead & then ordered claybuster wads.
  17. Update; I’ve got the machine dropping exactly .74oz & this is the result Powder is right, claybusters cb0175-12 wads, 2-3/4 AA hulls. Any thoughts? Thanks
  18. I finally got my press dialed in & have 2 complete shells. I know guys can tell a lot by the crimp, so... The 2 20g shells on the left are factory, my first & second shells are next to them. The second being closest to the factory shells. The press is currently dropping .65oz instead of the .75 I’m after. I had used some 2 part epoxy to decrease the internal diameter slightly to get from 7/8oz to the desired 3/4ox. Also, I am adjusting the wad seating pin, I had lowered the pin for the shell on the right & raised it slightly for the left shell. I’m wondering how far exactly to seat the wad onto the powder. Does it need to compress the powder or will the final crimp put the correct pressure on all the components? Thanks
  19. My out of state buddy is willing to part with one of his 4 presses. What do you guys think it’s worth (I know, there’s a lot of variables in regards to function & cond)? I have used one previously at his house but have not used or seen the one he’s willing to sell. The one I did use was seemingly an excellent machine. I’m sure it will be fully functioning & dialed in. Thanks
