    Thanks all! I have a Glock 23, sig P226 stainless 9mm, and a 18.5" maverick88. I really like the sig (new to me) but I would like to have a nice long range, bolt action rifle. Ive been looking at the rem. 700's and some savage among others in my price range. I would like to trade my glock for one. Its nice ( and new)but I like the sig MUCH better.

    TTT, im in the same boat. Looking at the Rem 700 sps, but keep seeing the savage name pop up. Not sure on size, .243 seems the middle ground between power, cost and availibilty?
