  1. Nice first post. Welcome. just remember that even here we have to be vigilant.
  2. I've seen potential tracks in Johnson County.
  3. Definitely not bullet proof.
  4. I've about decided that if it truly hits the fan, I'm just gonna go down swingin. Hiding just doesn't sound appetizing and I'm old anyway.
  5. Surely we've all all known a few of those in our time? I know I've helped bury a few myself. Life's tough and for some unmanageable.
  6. I have no animosity toward gps, and I have to admit that the younger I get the more I am aware that it would help my aging brain, but I just like maps. I will say that I truly believe the quality of maps are declining.
  7. I'm still a map guy. I hate GPS for whatever reason.
  8. $565.00 That's just damned silly.
  9. I was in their store in Columbia recently and I would agree it's a pretty good store. Except for the way they display their handguns for sale. The had S&W revolvers monted out of the box on a pegboard. Like 3 guns jammed together. Craziest thing I've ever seen.
  10. Not a thing. I just keep 911 on a card beside the phone.....
  11. Well somebody has to post this. So here goes
  12. Yep. You have to be a benefactor to take advantage of listing items for sale.
  13. It's the juice. I'm working on figuring it out on a small scale.
  14. Here's a list of the Sazerac companies... http://www.sazerac.com/BrandPortfolio.aspx?NBid=1
  15. http://tennesseefirearms.com/ Google is your friend. Oh, and welcome to the madhouse.
  16. Use whomever is best for you. The routes are driver dependent, so if your guy ain't gettin it done for you stick with FedEx.
  17. Other way around. Shrewd business move, eh?
  18. It's more complicated. The guy who was city manager at the time wanted to make his mark as a pro development kinda pol apparently. I know the folks who made money off of the bigass rock pile and they weren't particularly political, just happened to own one of the last large tracts of land in a city that can't annex into the county, thanks to VA laws. The idiot savant city council fell for it. Part of that was jealousy of Bristol, TN. Part of it was their thinking they could swindle a few bucks off the deal. And part of it was a desperate development company that was losing their ass and needed badly to do some kind of deal no matter what the actual chances of it working were. Looks like their most memorable accomplishment will be the bankruptcy of one of the few remaining independent cities in the state of VA.
  19. Once upon a time Craftsman tools were good. Been quite a while since that was so.
  20. You are aware they put that Cabelas on top of an old quarry? All that "gravel" was originally one bigass rock.
  21. There's not many gun deals at Cabelas. I've had good luck with reloading supplies. I seem to find better gun deals at smaller local shops.
  22. For shooters Cabelas beats BP hands down. I'm hoping Cabelas stay a while longer in Bristol. They got a real sweetheart deal from the idiots running Bristol, VA so my thinking is they'll be around at least a couple more years.
