  1. Nice. There's no such thing as too many revolvers.
  2. So they made a calculated bet that paid off? Sounds like a reasonably smart move.
  3. I second this. I used the same mix for a long time with no major issue.
  4. I've used a drop-in bolt for years with no problem. I can only assume the dedicated uppers would be as good or better. Of course you would have to zero in the sights on the upper. Enjoy your new toy.
  5. Do you really want to have to chisel a stuck aluminum case out of the barrel of your gun? You can probably make it work but with most people not even bothering to pick up their brass at the range why push your luck....
  6. Where's a bucket of water when you need one.....
  7. You know the real answer is just buy a 1911 in .45 and be done with it.
  8. O I don't know. There must be some way to monetize what we know....
  9. Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
  10. Yeah, I like that salty gal too.....
  11. Let me just say that wine with dinner definitely works for me.
  12. But seriously, daiquiris will be popular again....
  13. Personally I'm looking forward to a revival of fruit flavored vodkas. Something to keep the schlubs occupied.
  14. Yet another good reason to reload.
  15. I think you should take great joy in the weapons you received. Family guns always are special..
  16. I've resolved not to resolve to do or quit or start anything. I know it will be tough, but I think I can do it.
  17. fwiw, I've purchased grips from Altamont for several years and have always been satisfied.
  18. You old softie. I feel the same way. I'd be happy to have most anyone from this forum at my back ....
