  1. Always with one in the pipe. Otherwise all you have is an expensive
  2. LOL. The redneck mantra, Watchiss
  3. Taurus lacks support
  4. Raw image format - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/understanding-series/u-raw-files.shtml
  5. Yeah, doing HDR with RAW is the only way to go. Here's a pretty simple street scene I did the same thing with. I first converted to B&W and then used Photomatix.
  6. So true. I've been a Canon fan since about 1972. I currently shoot a 40D and also use an XTi for work. As for the G-10, that's a seriously nice point and shoot. It has a lens equivalency of 28mm to 140mm with an iso setting up to 1600 for uber low light situations. My favorite thing about the camera is the ability to shoot images in RAW format. If you ever get to the point where you start using Photoshop that is the way to save your images. RAW allows you to change the white balance, exposure stops, add fill lighting and other things AFTER you've already taken the pic. Good luck on your purchase. There are some pretty good online places to buy, Adorama, Amazon, Tri State, Buydig...just remember if the deal sounds too good to be true, it is.
  7. LOL. This thread just sounds like the guns are totally gunked up. Mine certainly get dirty after a several boxes of ammo, but they're never that big of a deal to clean. Unless it's Remington UMC.
  8. Is it just me...my handguns just don't seem to get that dirty when I take them to the range???
  9. Thanks to everyone for your feedback. That's what makes this forum great.
  10. Yeah, it's been a pretty good year.
  11. Well I didn't say what I was using it on.....
  12. I've used rem-oil with teflon for a long while and I was considereing an alternative. I've got a couple of buddies in the NG and they like Militec-1. Any body use this one? Also what other lubes should I consider?
  13. Yep. Little or no recourse for any other reason.
  14. You should call the Tennessean and tell them. Actually maybe we all should. A little passive-agressive protest maybe?
  15. So I guess this is the Seinfeld channel.
  16. You are indeed a lucky man. I analyze market and economic data in the course of doing my job. What I see occurring in TN is a pretty serious loss of manufacturing and constuction jobs. Unemeployment is on the rise with Greene County at about 15.3% and counties surrounding it at an average of 10% or better. State figures are +/-10%. Most markets in the state are beginning to exhibit some declines in property values and foreclosures appear to be on the rise. With high unemployment and little new job creation the foreclosures will probably begin to rise as unemployment benefits run out. On the state level sales tax revenues are down and money for cities and schools is down. There are some bright spots, such as the VW plant in east TN, but IMHO the next couple of years will be tough in TN and nationally. Just my .02
  17. Yes.
  18. Avast. However nothing protects you from doing something dumb.
  19. I'm a Le Tour junkie as far back as the 70's. I've actually met LeMond and Armstrong both back when we had the Tour Dupont(Trump).
  20. Cool. Post yours.
  21. It took 38 days for me to get my HCP. And this was during the mad rush when a bunch of folks had applied. A buddy of mine just got his VA resident CCL. It took him about 30 days.
  22. Pretty impressive and touching. Did anybody google it?
  23. Snagged it. Thanks. Is this the http://www.naws.com/Glock_Manual.pdf you have DaveTN?
