Ansi glass standards were updated in 2004. So glass produced to these standards from 2004 on would have this marking: ANSI Z97.1-2004

ANSIZ97.1-1975 That is an ANSI safety standard for glass, so it was produced after 1975.

I bought one about 18 months ago. I had one ftf in the first mag. No other problems. I have about 800 rounds through it and no problems. It's a great size and a good shooter. It's my usual daily carry piece. Maybe yours needs a visit back to the mothership. My serial # is JAXXXX

I keep coming back to my Kahr PM40 and an IWB holster. It's very concealable and comfortable to wear. As for the "problem" with 5+1...I just carry a spare mag.
